Arien appeared in the doorway when he heard Dan fall.
"You shouldn't get up yet," Arien said, helping Dan up.
Arien appeared in the doorway when he heard Dan fall.
"You shouldn't get up yet," Arien said, helping Dan up.
"I think I know now." Dan mumbled and laid back down on the bed.
Arien chuckled softly.
"You hungry?" he asked, yawning.
"Yeah, I think. I honestly have no clue." Dan sighed and nodded. "Hmm, what time is it?"
"Eight am," Arien said, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
"I could make you something to eat, if you want."
"I'll be fine, I'll just make something as soon as I get home." Dan said then sat up, "Thanks for letting me stay here."
"You're welcome. Still, we have some things to discuss," Arien said. He eyes Dan a little as he sat up.
"You sure you're good to be moving yet?"
"Alright… and I'll be fine." He nodded as he waited for the room to stop spinning.
Arien sighed, waiting a moment before continuing.
"First things first; how the hell did you never realize I'm a vampire? I don't exactly hide it." He motioned to his outfit.
"And I buy a ton of blood."
"Um…. honestly I thought you just had some goth aesthetic going on and were buying the blood for some weird cultist worshiping stuff…." Ben said and blushed a bit.
Arien chuckled softly.
"Well, that's obviously not the case. That brings us to the second point. You know now, and it's been too long for me to wipe your memory. I can't just let you go."
"Why not?" Ben asked confused.
"You're… A human. I'm a vampire. Vampires eat humans, humans kill vampires. If I just let you go, there's no way I know you won't rat me out." Arien shrugged. "It's happened before."
"Honestly, I could care less your a vampire. Plus you said you don't even try to hide it. Now i have to get home, I have work in an hour." Ben said and slowly stood.
Arien reached out grabbing Dan's wrist, pulling him to a stop.
"Me not hiding it is how I hide it. And you don't seem to get it- I'm not letting you leave yet."
Dan looked at him with a hint of fear, "I wouldn't tell anyone, now please let me go."
Arien looked at Dan for a moment.
"No. Not yet."
Dan tried pulling away from him as he became a bit more scared, "I'm pretty sure this is a crime."
Arien stood up, still holding onto Dan.
"I'll let go when I'm done," he said. "But there's something we have to do." His hand went up to the side of Dan's neck.
Dan flinched and closed his eyes, he hoped though that Arieb kept to his promise and let him go.
Arien lightly traced his thumb over Dan's throat, looking for just the right spot. Once he found a good one, he lightly pressed his thumb nail into Dan's flesh, drawing a drop of blood. He held his thumb there, then pulled it away.
"There. We're tied now."
Dan flinched for a second."Tied?" He asked confused and opened his eyes.
"It just means no one else can feed on you. It tells other vamps that you're mine." A black mark appeared on Arien's neck, mirroring where he had nicked Dan.
Dan nodded, "um… Alright? Could I go home now? I don't want to be late for work." He asked quietly.
Arien thought for a moment, then nodded. He went to leave the room. He paused.
"I expect to see you tonight. You'd best not make me hunt you down."
