Dan heard something behind him but dismissed is as some wind, or just someone else walking home. He sighed and put his hands in his pockets, he just had to get home then he wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of being followed.
Happy to not be spotted yet, Arien came up to right behind Dan. He waited a moment, until the time was right, and then he put his hand over Dan's mouth, pulling him with impossible strength and speed into the shadows of a larger building.
Dan instantly looked in fear then closed his eyes tight. He was absolutely terrified and couldn't well say anything with his mouth being covered so he didn't even try.
"Don't be afraid," Arien said softly, mouth already hovering over Dan's neck.
"I'll make it quick." It would be easy for Dan to recognize Arien's voice, of course. Arien lightly trailed his fangs over the skin of Dan's neck, looking for an artery.
Dan recognized his voice and thought for a moment who this guy could be. As he thought he struggled a bit trying to get away.
Arien took his hand off of Dan's mouth, but he held firmly, not letting Dan get away. Finally, he settled over a spot, teeth posed to bite down.
"Wait! I know you." Dan said quickly as soon as he was able to talk.
"Oh?" Arien said, pulling his head away a touch to speak.
"How is that?"
"Um, you're that weird guy. Always buying bags of blood from the butcher at the grocery store and also buying other stuff but nothing else other than that." He replied and still looked terrified, "I'm one of the cashiers there, also please don't kill me."
"Hm… Ah, yes, I knew I recognized you." Arien rested his chin on Dan's shoulder, thinking.
"What's in it for me? Why shouldn't I feed on you?"
"I don't know, I kinda feel you're going to kill me regardless of anything. So… You might as well get it over with." He sighed and didn't look at Arien.
"Hey, that's not true!" Arien huffed a little, turning Dan around in his arms to look at him.
"Don't assume that just cause I'm a vamp doesn't mean I like killing! That's why I usually get blood from the butchers!"
"I'm pretty sure you were about to kill me anyway." Dan said back and closed his eyes to not look at him.
"No, actually, I wasn't. I never take enough to kill. I was just gonna feed and then wipe your memories, but know we've been talking too long for that." Arien sighed, examining Dan.
He nodded slowly, "could I go home? Or… Are you still planning on that?" He asked as tried stepping away.
Arien, when he felt Dan try to step away, pulled him closer. Now, their chests were pressed against each other, and Arien was leaning over Dan, holding him off-balance.
"But I'm hungry," Arien said.
Dan nodded and kept his eyes shut, "just don't kill me." He whispered.
"I won't," Arien promised. His mouth made it's way back to Dan's throat, and he bit down lightly. Not enough to kill, but enough to draw blood.
Dan flinched at first then relaxed and let him. He was quiet as Arien sucked his blood.
Arien continued to drink Dan's blood, until Dan was at the verge of unconsciousness. He finally pulled away, wiping off a stray drop and licking it off his thumb. He held onto Dan so he wouldn't fall over.
Dan leaned against him basically about to pass out. He now just wanted to sleep. It was also clear he wouldn't make it home without falling asleep.
Normally, Arien would just set his meals down and let them sleep in the allies. Now, however, he took pity on Dan. He picked Dan up easily, beginning to carry him off to Arien's own house.
Dan fell asleep as he was carried. He was completely out and not going to wake up for awhile.
Arien brought Dan to his own home, laying Dan down in the guest bedroom bed.
"Poor thing," he mumbled under his own breath, tucking Dan in and patting his head before leaving to go find himself another meal.
(Timeskip?)
(Sure.)
Dan woke up in the morning and realized he didn't recognize this room. He quickly got up and quickly fell down due to being a bit weak still.
