"oh? what type?"
She says popping another gummy bear in her mouth.
why is he standing so weird?
She thought to herself as she looked almost to the ceiling at him. He was really handsome, and he was super nice.
He was such a good friend.
So far
"I think I have Oreos," He said thoughtfully. He was munching on some earlier but he couldn't remember. He was a big dumb. He glanced down at her and her puzzled expression, but he just grinned to try and distract her. He didn't need her questioning him as to why he was bent down slightly so she could see him better or why his arms were crossed.
"Oh, I like Oreos!"
She says folding the bag of gummies, then laughing a bit,
"I like your shirt by the way…. I saw it when you were taking off your- my sweatshirt."
She says smiling and standing up.
"Oreos are tasty," He agreed, gesturing for her to start walking with him. "O-oh, my shirt?" He asked, looking down at it as if he just realized it was on. It was a Deathnote shirt. "Thanks." He laughed softly, his cheeks a bit red.
"Did you like the ending? I hear mixed reviews on Deathnotes ending"
She says walking with him, not flapping her arms anymore, just trying to take bigger steps to keep up with him.
"Oh, yeah, there's all kinds of mixed feelings. I think they should've ended it when L died. That's when a lot of people stopped, I heard. The thing about N and Mello was kind of random and it didn't make a lot of sense in the end," He murmured thoughtfully, sighing. "But a lot of people are willing to die for Mello and N."
"i think they were cuties, but i didnt really like it. And i think its a little stupid for people stop when someone they loved dies. And i think they couldve ended it alot better than they did, although im glad Ryuk killed Light though, i liked that part. And i wish the art wouldve been better…. the gore coulve been better, but animation is hard…."
She said rambling off, then coming to a sudden stop,
"Have you read the manga? The arts really good in that!"
She asks with a smile.
"I'm not really too good in art, so I couldn't tell you. But I know some stuff that was laughed at in the series was taken out of both the manga and the animation. Mostly of L and Light, really." He laughed softly. "It was mostly a weird face or a strange angle." He glanced down at her when she suddenly stopped talking, smiling back.
"yeah? I'm not a really good artist either, i just like drawing flowers and stuff…. mandalas. But my brothers fantastic at it.
He makes a ton of money off of his art by itself. I don't make much money, skating rink, and a snowcone shack, it pays well… i guess, but not as much as him."
She says to him, not really paying attention to where she was walking anymore, she was just walking wherever he was.
He felt he could relate to her so hard it hurt. He had a brother who made money off of his looks, but Met couldn't even make someone look at him without them wincing. It sucked. And he understood her to the tips of his toes to the top of his wild hair.
"Yeah. I get it."
"so, what are you planning on doing after school?"
She says trying to change the subject, she felt a little awkward suddenly venting to him.
Ugh, he probably thinks to work at a skating rink and a snowcone shack sounded really lame, stupid CC
She thought to herself as she walked with him.
"I dunno." He didn't really have a lot of plans. He'd probably go home and sleep through the weekend, considering the day was Friday. He stuck his hands into his pockets and looked around, realizing they passed the Chem room. He laughed softly and turned back with her, walking into the room.
"Here, I didn't eat any or anything." He handed her a six pack of Oreos.
Taking the pack she smiles at him,
"Do you wanna hand out after school then?"
She said right before the bell rang. The halls would soon be flooded with poeple, and without thinking, she grabs his hand, pulling into the chem classroom as people crowded into the halls.
It was dark in the room, peeking out of the window of the door, then turning around, noticing what shes done, she lets go of his hand.
"ah sorry, when the bell rings, i always just hide"
She says as she laughs nervously.
Met blushed faintly as he was pulled away and invited to hang out. "Oh, no, that's okay. About the hiding thing," He hastily said, smiling. "I'd love to hang out with you. Just text me after school, or whenever you can this mod, and we can think of something to do." He leaned back and glanced around the dark room. "This is my class. But did you want me to walk you to yours? Just so you don't get like, knocked over or something?" He was sure that was a problem for her.
"oh… no, I was planning on skipping… I was bored."
She says turning around to face him once again after peeking through the window.
She really hated how big this school was.
"But, um…."
She looked around at the dark room,
"I might stay here until class starts…. if I do decide to go to class…. I can be late"
She says with a smile.
"Skipping?" He asked through her excuse, scrunching his eyebrows together. "You told me you had all A's. How… how can you?" One can't skip class and just… have an A. It was hard enough for him and he was there every day! He looked concerned but not angry or scrutinizing. "Is there something… something else? Something you're not telling me?" He might be able to fix it for her. To help.
"Not really, I, but I guess I'm just….. good?"
She said shrugging her shoulders.
"and I didn't tell you I had all A's, I said I pretty much do. And anyway, the teachers would be fine with it"
She says walking to a window
Met frowned a bit and bit his lip. "But you're a senior in finals week. You can't be skipping," He tried to suggest anything to get her to class. The bell was going to ring soon and he needed to go next door to his class. He moved after her, crossing his arms together again and swallowing. "It-it doesn't matter. I'll stay with you."
"Nah, ill go!"
She says suddenly turning around to face him. Her books were sat down right at the desk in front of her, right where she left it.
Picking it up, she smiled at him,
"i could tell it was bothering you, but im telling you, i dont even pay much attention in class"
She smiled as she walked out. All she ever did was look out the window, making stories in her head.
She didnt really care what grades she got, but since somehow when actually working she did fantastic on her papers, she seemed like a little goody tooshoes. The only thing she was worried about now, was him not wanting to be her friend anymore.
Walking into her class,
"sorry im late."
She says sitting down in her normal seat as she received plenty of glares.
"oh its fine, just dont do it agian"
The teacher says smiling at her.
"Oh." He watched her walk away, opting to just sit down in an empty seat. He'd rather miss the rest of his Chem class than go back late. So she was one of those people who could just do the work without paying attention. He rubbed his tired face, sighing into the depths of his hands. It was hard enough staying up two nights in a row to study, only to go and talk to a few of his classmates and for them to say, "This is gonna be easy as hell!" and proceed to ace it. But one of his new friends? Saying that she just didn't try as much? He only just got a ninety-three on the French and an eighty nine on the Chem. He thought it was pretty good, but just talking to everyone else made him rethink it.
(okie dokie, do you wanna do it?)
(I guess I can)
It was the end of the day and Met eventually went to go get his stuff and go home. He walked in the miserable rain, the chill that came with it attacking his arms as his hair hung limp from the rain. His shoes soaked up the puddles and he squelched all the way home. Once he was home he forked off his shoes and slowly walked up the steps to the first floor, looking around. Neo must not be home. He was always off doing stuff after school. He shrugged and went into his bedroom, walking over piles of clothes and setting his things down on his office chair before flopping down. He had all sorts of things in his room, to a TV, a desk and comfy office chair, his queen sized bed, a keyboard worn with use, and a small dresser. It wasn't a lot, but it had a lot of personality on its walls with posters of bands he liked and other anime things.
Walking into her house, only to hear screaming….
"WHY ARE YOU SO FCKIN STUPID"
"Please stop….. I didn't mean to"
"OH IM SO SURE, LIKE YOU DIDNT MEAN TO SPILL THE BOTTLE ON ME, YOU LITTLE B**H"
Walking in, her bag was immediately jerked from her by her stepfather….. Nathan.
"Hey Momma"
She said as her hair fell in her face.
"hey! Where you so late!"
Nathan said, pulling her long hair, making her fall to the ground. Min-Hyuk, her big brother, was obviously not here, or he would be beating the crap out of Nathan right about now.
"NATHAN STOP I-"
Her mom was interrupted by a slap to the face, still holding CC by the hair.
She was used to this, she didn't like it, nobody did, but the was used to it. She couldn't do anything or else he would hurt her mom more. And we couldn't tell Min-Hyuk, or else he would surely kill him.
(CCs not the perfect girl everyone thinks)
