Jackson left the other ship, trying to come up with a plan for the girl. She need training, just like the three others. Jackson wanted to be tough on her but not too much. Not wanting to overwhelm them he waited for their next stop.
They followed him onto his ship and soon Regina took up a spot near the side of the ship, watching the three others who had came with her start to talk and mingle with the other crew members. Her sword was still in her hand and she set it against the side of the ship her head spinning from what had just happened. She had just been traded for better crew and a repair for their ship, which had shocked her into silence.
Jackson noticed her, "You good? Sorry, I'm Jackson." That was the first time he said his first name aloud. Usually his crew called him Captain Windsor. He watched the other ship go to Clear Rock Isle, as he talked to the Girl, "If you need anything just let me know. I'm pretty easy to find."
"Hm? I'm fine," She replied, her voice softer than normal as she looked up at her new captain and nodded, "I will, I'm Regina by the way."
"Thought it was Nia?"He asked looking at her, studying the girl.
"That's my nickname…the captain gave it to me after he refused to say my full name, so now I'm Nia, and Regina." She looked down to the deck as she talked, then out at the water where she watched the only ship she had ever known sail away.
"Your family here just so you know." Jackson let her know before heading off to the captains quarters.
Regina nodded and watched him walk off, going back to her silence once again. The medical supplies she had grabbed before were still with her and she took out a roll of cloth that was used for bandages, holding it in her hand as she turned to look at the crew.
Jackson started planning for their next stop, and when to get the others trained.
Eventually, she started wandering around the ship, picking up the sword and carrying it with her as she walked.
Soon enough Jackson came out wanting to find Regina and give her some pointers on what to do around. They needed a new nurse so he might give her the job. He wasn't quite sure though.
Regina continued wandering around the ship, not talking to any of the other crew members and instead studying where everything was.
"Regina?" Jackson asked looking for the new addition. "I've got a job for you."
She turned around when she heard her name, facing Jackson, "Yes?" She replied, making her way over to him.
"You good at being a nurse?" He asked, knowing that he can't keep being a double as a nurse and captain.
Regina nodded, "I think I am, that's what I was on the other ship." She took out a roll of bandages she still had from the fight and held them up, "Is that my new job?"
"only if you want it. I don't force things upon people." Jackson said, looking at the bandages.
"I'll take it," She said, nodding once again and slipping the bandages back away.
"Okay, you can go check and see if there is anyone in the infirmary." He said, pointing to the door on the left of her.
She nodded one more time before heading to the door he had motioned to and peeking inside, taking a few careful steps into the infirmary and looking around.
There was one younger man, not so badly cut up. "I take it that your the new nurse."
"That I am," She replied, looking around for more supplies before making her way closer to him, "And I take it that you're hurt?"
"Just a few cuts. Nothing I can't handle." He said, "We must've got you off of that ship."
Regina nodded, "I was traded," She eventually found some more bandages and walked over to him, motioning for him to show her the cuts.
"You'll make a great addition to the family." He smiled at her, lifting his shirt lightly, showing his stomach. "Jackson's really go an eye for you."
