Mar was sprawled out on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. He was bored. Bored bored boredboredbored. He tried to blow the hair out of his face, failing miserably.
"Ka-ace," he whined, sitting up to look at his lover. "What are we gonna do today?"
Kace was sitting in a nearby chair, tapping away at something on his phone and frowning slightly. He looked up at Mar, ignoring his phone for a minute. "I don't know. What do you want to do? I was going to go out today, get some laps in for the mini marathon."
Mar perked up a bit at that.
"Can I come?" They asked, sitting up. They smiled, running their fingers through their hair.
"I'd love to run with you!"
Kace clicked the button on the top of his phone, shutting it off. "Sure!" he smiled. "I'd love for you to come with me. Go ahead and change real quick, and get a water bottle. It'll be hot," Kace smiled again, standing. He pecked Mar on the forehead, grabbed some clothes, and went to go change in the bathroom.
Mar grinned. He stood quickly, changing into shorts and a tank top. He went to get a bottle of water, humming a happy tune to himself. He ran his fingers through his hair, smiling brightly.
"Are you ready!" He called out, turning a bit as he waited impatiently for Kace.
Kace came out of the bathroom, wearing a black nike sweatshirt and sweatpants. "Yep! I'm ready," he smiled, grabbing a water bottle. He plugged his earbuds into his phone and threw on some running shoes, then turned on his running music as he waited for Mar to finish up getting ready.
Mar finished getting ready, grinning and bouncy on the balls of his feet.
"Let's go then!" He said, hugging Kace a bit before turning to take off out the door.
Kace laughed and took off running after him, some music playing softly through his earbuds. Once he had caught up, Kace slowed the pace to a slightly fast jog, going in the direction of the park. He grinned at Mar. "You doing good so far?"
Mar slowed down as well, matching Kace's pace. He nodded, grinning.
"Yep! I could run for miles." It could have been taken as exaggeration, but he was a werewolf…
Kace laughed, speeding up again. "Let's go then!" he called, reaching the gates to the park. He ran in and hopped onto one of the offroad trails, still keeping pace and hopping over roots, mud, and rocks deftly.
Mar grinned, following after. He looked around as they run. When he saw they were alone, he grinned a bit. In a moment, they shifted, a large black wolf running next to Kace. Mar took every chance they got to shift, especially when they and their boyfriend were spending time together like this.
Kace laughed, looking down at Mar. "You're so adorable!" he breathed, panting a little bit. He continued to run the trails, careful not to leave the safety of the trees. Soon, they got to the end of the trails and Kace paused, drinking from his water bottle.
Mar let out a soft howl in response, his tongue hanging out as they ran. He shifted back when they stopped, drinking from his own water.
"This is so much fun!" He concluded, hugging Kace from behind.
Kace laughed, finishing up his drink. He turned around and hugged Mar, still a little hot and sweaty from the run. "Good," he smiled, letting go. "I need a shower now, though."
Mar nodded a bit.
"Well, wana race back home?" They smiled inoccently, but they knew the race would be unfair.
Kace rolled his eyes playfully and took off, trying to get at least a little bit of a headstart when he knew he would lose. He didn't even look back, knowing Mar would soon catch up and pass him.
Mar was surprised when Kace took off, waiting a few moments, then took off. Soon, he was running next to Kace. He flashed his boyfriend a grin, then continued, dashing off back to the house.
"Hey!" Kace laughed, trying and failing to catch up. He eventually got back to the house after Mar, panting hard. "You beat me. You win," he laughed, still gasping slightly for air. "What kind of award do you want?"
Mar grinned, turning to Kace when he came back and swept him up in his own arms.
"Cuddles," He said confidently. "And pets!" He carried Kace to the bathroom first, fulling intent one him getting a shower.
Kace laughed, throwing his arms around Mar's neck and holding on tightly. "I'll give you all the cuddles and pets. Shower first, though. I kinda stink right now," he teased, laughing. Kace jumped down once they got to the bathroom.
Mar wrinkled their nose, nodding.
"Yes, you do." He chuckled a bit, daring to peck Kace's cheek.
"You need company~?" He teased right back.
Kace laughed and pushed him out of the bathroom. "Nice try, Mar," he smiled, then shut the door. Kace hopped in the shower and soon finished up, wrapping a towel around himself and going into the bedroom to grab some clothes. He leafed through the closet, looking through the clothes. "Hm, can I steal one of your sweatshirts?" he called to Mar.
Mar was waiting on the couch, hugging a pillow to himself as he watched Netflix.
"Go right ahead!" He said, smiling. He got up when he heard Kace's voice, very ready to scoop Kace up in his arms and carry him to the living room once he was dressed.
Kace laughed and stole a forest green one, dressing quickly. He threw on some black ripped jeans then stepped out of the bedroom. “Hey Mar! Whatcha watching?”
Mar was standing by the door, scooping Kace up from behind.
"Twiliiight," He said, laughing a bit. He loved seeing how people showed werewolves in media, and he had a bit of a crush on Jacob. He carried Kace to the couch, laying them both down on it and his arms wrapped securely around his boyfriend.
