(Kain looks great! By the way, can you start since I'm horrible at starting?)
(Kain looks great! By the way, can you start since I'm horrible at starting?)
(Yeah, sure)
Kain was grinning as he swung around the stage, singing happily as he watched scores of people try and grab at him from behind the small barrier of security guards between him and most of the crowd. His act for the night was starting to wrap up, and he had one more song to go. After finishing the one he was singing, he started walking around the stage. “How’s everyone doing tonight?” he called out, beaming at the shouts of enjoyment and catcalling he received
(Thanks!)
"Absolutely fucking horrible," Mikhail answered under his breath, taking another sip of his drink. He had just wanted to watch his favorite band perform, but nooo, they just had to cancel last minute. Which resulted in him being stuck in the bar until his friend was gone fangirling over the guy who was currently on stage. So, he had settled in the back with a drink and muttering comments about whoever was on stage under his breath.
“Now, for the last song, I’m gonna give you a chance to pick it. I’ll do my best on coves, if that’s what you want, so don’t be shy now,” Kain said, winking at the crowd as cries of songs and bands erupted from the decent-sized crowd in front of the stage, who seemed to be trying to turn the performance into a mini concert on their own
Mikhail sighed in relief, one more song and he could get out of here. Unless his friend decided to stay here longer, because life just seems to hate him all the time. Always up his ass about almost everything and everyone. Let's hope the song isn't too long
Eventually, Kain just looked around, grinning as he spotted sons blue-haired boy looking miserable as he nursed his drain. “Hey, you! Blue hair! How about you pick the song?” he offered with a lopsided grin
Mikhail looked around to see if anyone else had blue hair, his face almost instantly heating up when he saw realized the person on stage was talking to him and everyone's eyes were on him. "I–um–Car Radio by Twenty One Pilots?" He suggested, his face burning so much he thought it would actually turn red.
“Car Radio, huh? Just for you, then,” Kain said, grinning as he winked at the man before picking up the mic again. He began singing low and sweet, his voice full of emotion that could break your heart if you listened long enough
Mikhail's face heated up even more because of the wink (if that's possible at this point tbh), this time actually paying attention as he took another sip of his drink. How did the other suddenly become so damn good at singing? The longer he heard the other sing, the less he cared about his drink and more about the man's singing. Now it made sense as to why the man had a large crowd most of the time, it was because of his voice and how he could capture everyone's attention, not because of his good looks or because of how he could persuade everyone to probably do almost anything.
Kain had modified the song a little to fit his tastes at the moment, his voice low and the song near-heartbreaking now. Instead of the chorus growing louder, his voice turned sadder, and it had breached the point where it was questionable as to whether or not he might be crying as he sang. But he wasn't–it was just his voice, lilting and beautiful and enrapturing all at once
Mikhail had completely forgotten about his drink at this point, looking at the man as if this was the first time he had heard music. Was he a siren? How else was he so good at singing? He leaned forward and rested his head in his hands.
Kain's eyes were half-closed as he sang, slowly beginning to fade out the music. When he finally finished, he looked out at the crowd, which had fallen silent, with some of the nearest ones even having tears in their eyes. And after a moment, he murmured "My name is Kain Lamorak, thank you," he said before the lights on the platform went black, and he put the mic back on its stand before walking offstage
Mikhail quickly stood up and was about to follow the man but was stopped by his friend, with tears in her eyes. "Where are you going?" She asked, wiping the tears away as she smiled at him.
"I'm going to follow him."
Kain easily slipped past his security, not liking the stuffy crowd of private guards hired by the nightclub. He slunk off to the side, though he didn't escape inconspicuously enough that Mikhail couldn't see him
Mikhail glanced at the person that went past him, his body following his eye's movement as his whole body turned around. It was Kain. He ignored his friend and quietly followed the other, opening his phone to check the time.
Kain eventually found his way to the bar, and he took a quick second to flip the hood of his enormous jacket up over his head, helping to conceal his appearance a little so that he wasn't mobbed
Mikhail's strides were quiet and long, also flicking his hood up so his hair wasn't visible. Most people tend to remember him by his hair, considering it was rare to find someone with silvery-blue hair.
Kain looked over as he saw that same person who had requested the song walking towards him, and he raised a brow from where he was partially hidden. What did he want?
Mikhail's face heated up when they made eye-contact, averting his eyes for a second before looking back at him. "Hey–um–I was just wondering where you learned to sing that good, I mean, wouldn't it take a lot of years to sing that good? Yet you look so young…" He mumbled, regretting what he had said the very next second.
Kain just chuckled softly at that. "I'm a demon. Specifically, I'm a concubus. Things that play with the heart come easy, I guess," he said, shrugging his shoulders a little as he drew idle lines along the surface of the countertop. "But it's nice that you liked it. You seemed a little uncomfortable when I first asked you to pick a song, so sorry for that, I guess," he chuckled
"It's fine, and that's cool," Mikhail managed to get out without stuttering, his whole face burning so much he thought he was actually red.
(Sorry it's short)
(it's all good)
Kain looked over at Mikhail once again, and when he saw the other's face going bright red he couldn't help but giggle. "Sorry, do you have a thing for concbubi or something? I can have that effect on people," he said as he played with the strings of his hoodie
"What? No!" Mikhail replied, his face burning even more, if that's possible at this point, considering how embarrased he was. He pulled down on his hood a bit more so it would hide his face, looking everywhere but at Kain.
"Hey, relax. I'm just messing with you. In fact, I'd be more surprised if you didn't look at me at least once and think that I'd be a good lay. Very few people can resist the charms, even if I'm trying to turn them off," Kain giggled, rather enjoying how flustered the other was
"I didn't think that…" Mikhail mumbled, still not looking at Kain. He was still regretting following the man, he had probably looked like a creep or something.
