Giselle swam to catch up to Averia, staying behind a little bit.
Giselle swam to catch up to Averia, staying behind a little bit.
They swam deeper and deeper, the vines slowly closing in around them.
Giselle cast a spell that would allow the pair to pass through without the vines catching onto them.
Averia looked back over her shoulder at Giselle with a slightly worried look.
"It's fine, I cast a spell. We'll be safe," Giselle reassured, although even she looked worried when a vine snaked towards her tail.
Averia nodded slowly and swallowed, "Be careful though…"
Giselle zapped the vine and then swam to catch up.
Averia released a breath she didn't know she was holding.
Giselle took Averia's hand. "We can do this."
Averia looked down at their hands before nodding, "Yeah. Yeah we can."
Giselle took a deep breath and continued swimming.
Averia drew a breath and her grip on Giselle's hand tightened with he nerves.
Giselle winced with the sudden pressure applied on her hand by Averia.
Averia caught the wince and immediately loosened her grip, pulling away slowly.
The vines started to get less and less, leading Giselle to the conclusion that they were just about to reach the Depths of Despair.
"This place is creepy…" Averia muttered.
Giselle made a light appear and dark coral was illuminated.
"Thanks." Averia swerved out the way of a coral.
Giselle gave a tight-lipped smile.
