Braith basked in the sunlight glinting off the ocean's water. He had come here to spend the day, simply because it reminded him of Neo. He should be out finding a job and catering to his responsibilities as an adult, but the beach had called to him. So here he was, laying on the sand without a care in the world.
Braith had laid in the sun for a long while. It had been a couple days since Neo and Braith had last seen each other since Neo got suddenly swamped into work. The ocean hushed near Braith’s feet, washing them in cold water.
He laid until the sun had dipped down, casting lazy orange streaks over the sand and the children had gone with their parents. He heard the hush and crunch of sand, and it paused behind him.
“What are you doing here, Braith?” Asked an amused voice. A familiar, amused voice.
((I'm confused. Are you Braith now?))
(Noooooooo
I just was setting the scene)
(My B!)
Braith didn't open his eyes as he responded. "I'm basking in the sun, my King." He grinned widely, unable to hold it in. He had missed him immensely while he had been working. Braith too had been busy with his own job and settling into his new apartment, but his thought had frequently been on the man now standing behind him.
Neo sat next to him, stretching out and yawning widely. “Riiiight. I told you you were welcome in my palace any time, didn’t I?” He set a hand on Braith’s and laid back. The ocean swept over his wool socks and pants.
"You did, but you've got to let me do something with all those white walls. It's like an institution in there!" Braith turned his hand over so he could intertwine his fingers with Neo's.
Neo chuckled and rolled his eyes. “And that stops you from coming in to see me? And possibly staying the night over?” He glanced at Braith, grinning a loopy grin.
Braith opened his eyes and turned his head to look at Neo. Warm flames were dancing in his eyes. "Yes." He said sticking his tongue out so Neo knew he was only joking.
Neo booped Braith’s nose with his other hand and beamed. “Then you’ll just have to fix it.” He set his bracing hand back down.
Braith hummed, pleased a blush tinting his cheeks. "So you'll let your youthful artist lover paint your castle with wild abandon?" He place a hand scandalously over his mouth. "What will the nobles say?"
Neo snorted jokingly and squeezed Braith’s hand. “The nobles will accept it whether they like it or not.” He shook the hair out of his face.
(hEy KAT)
(tis I, Kat.)
Braith leaned up on an elbow over Neo so he could look down into his eyes. "Yes. Yes they will." He closed the distance between their mouths in a hungry kiss.
(Join my RPppppp)
Neo leaned into him and met him into the kiss. He pulled Braith close and wrapped his arms around him.
(WHICH ONE?! I will finnnnnnnnnnd youuu)
Braith melted against his King, but pulled back after a few long moments. "You've been so busy at work. Everything okay?"
(It’s A Very In Depth Groupie and it’s in a cool font in Limited. And it’s on my Universe, so you can just pop in.)
Neo kept a bracing hand on Braith. He gave his cheeks and neck a couple needing kisses and opened his eyes.
“Yeah. Everything is okay.”
Braith made a happy sound deep in his throat, but eyed Neo. He never talked much about the goings on in the castle and even less about his family. "Are you sure? Anything I can help with?" He doubted it but he still offered.
Neo smiled a little and kissed his jaw gently. “I’m positive, dear. I’m okay. I’m sure.”
Braith still doubted, but he trusted Neo. Pecking him quickly on the lips Braith asked, "What are we doing tonight?"
Neo leaned back into the sand and yawned. “It’s whatever you wanna do, lovely.” He looked at Braith with a grin.
Braith could think of a few things, as his eye traveled up and down Neo's body. He kept his mind somewhat blank, something he had been practicing at, so Neo wouldn't notice. "I heard that the orchestra was putting on a special concert in the great park." He said looking out towards the ocean before his thoughts got derailed by naughty thoughts.
Neo smirked, still reading Braith’s hungry gaze. “Mmm… an orchestra. Sounds like a wonderful evening. What should we do after that?” He shifted his weight around, his doughy blue eyes still digging into Braith’s profile.
Braith continued to look away. He would not be distracted by the wondrous King that sat by his side. "Perhaps a dinner flambé?" He said instead, flicking a tiny harmless flame over to Neo. He had been practicing cooking, he wasn't very good still but….he tried.
Neo caught the flame in his thick hand and tossed it back at him. It simmered out before it reached Braith.
“Sounds good. I bet it’ll be absolutely wonderful.”
