Braith was more hesitant to get into the water. His inner flame reacting in terror, but he would not show such a silly fear in front of Neo. There was no way. He walked slowly, letting the water caress his legs before he dove in. When he resurfaced she shivered, "Wooo. Brisk!"
Neo was still trotting in, the water now at his hips. He grinned across the surface at the now surfaced Braith.
“Is it? I can hardly feel it!” He laughed at himself before dunking his tall frame into the cold, salty water.
Braith stuck his tongue out at the King's form under the water, before dunking himself as well. Brisk indeed, he thought as the water seemed to tighten around him. His flame giving an uneasy curl within him. Relax, I can still feel the sand between my toes.
Braith resurfaced with a gasp, a smile spreading across his mouth. Steam rose from his shoulders and chest, causing his drying curls to fluff up even more than usual.
Neo swept out of the sea too, shaking out his long, thick hair like a dog. He chuckled in a self-satisfied sort of way and leaned back into a lazy wave, humming and closing his eyes happily. He loved wave surfing. Especially when he was taller than the wave, which happed most of the time.
Braith watched Neo, flames dancing in his eyes. "I get the impression that you don't take that much time to yourself, your Majesty." He said on a soft chuckle.
Neo half-opened his eyes and hummed. “I don’t, much, no.” He straightened up out of the waves and yawned slowly, stretching out.
“So did you want to come back to the Palace with me? I could show you around up there, in case you wanted to visit me.”
Which, I assure, you can do any time.
Braith straightened to his full height. "I would like that very much! Perhaps if I came to visit you more, you would have more reason to take time for yourself. With me." He grinned mischievously. "And fries."
Seductive eyebrow wiggle And fries//
Neo hummed and started out of the water, waving his hips happily. It gave an effect to his lanky body, which didn’t have a lot of curves, unless he did what he was doing.
When he passed Braith, he murmured softly, “You can have as much time as you’d like from my day.”
Braith's eyes had been locked shamelessly on Neo's body as he moved, but shot up to his eyes as soon as he spoke. A wild blush had claimed his entire upper face, but he maintained eye contact with the man beside him on sheer force of will. "Is that a promise?" he asked with equal softness.
Neo paused in front of him, perhaps a couple feet away, then cocked his hips to the side, looking over his shoulder at Braith. His expression was hidden and strange.
“I swear on my life.”
Braith continued to stare at his companion at a loss for words. He suddenly had the impression the King new more about him than Braith knew of himself. The thought did not frighten him, only made him more curious about the life of his new friend. He tilted his head to the side and smiled slowly, seductively. Appearing, if only for a moment, older and more intense.
(“Friend”)
Neo returned the deep, handsome smile, beckoning Braith and leading out of the water and to their things. He shouldered his jacket and buttoned it, but left his shirt, entirely on purpose. He lifted up the things he had bought, smirking. He hadn’t thought he’d grasp someone this suddenly, but he was glad he did.
(cheeky grin ;D)
Following Neo, Braith scooped up his things, slowly redressing for the benefit of Neo. A quick shiver had his flame drying his body in a mere moment. He reached out slowly to tap Neo on a spot of bare chest with a finger, allowing his flame to leap out into Neo's body, drying him as well. His finger lingered, savoring the zing that the contact was making. "All better." He whispered
Neo’s jaw stiffened slightly from its lax position and he glanced away from Braith as he dressed. Heat pushed at his cold neck, as if the sun were shining directly down on it. When he was touched, he glanced back at Braith and grabbed his hand in his large, pale one.
“It’ll get much, much better,” He whispered back, squeezing Braith’s hand gently.
Braith returned the squeeze and gave Neo a soft smile. "Lead the way…"
He was startled by his own boldness in this situation. Braith had never had an experience with the opposite sex quite like this, much less another man. The intensity growing between then was reaching levels that made him feel stronger, more passionate, more…aflame.
Neo started to walk, keeping a firm grip on Braith’s hand. It wasn’t one that could hurt, but it showed Braith how… say, strong Neo was. Within a few minute’s walk, shortcuts and turns, they were crossing up a long flight of steps to a pair of double, white doors. He pushed them open without a word to the guards. The hallway inside was long and office-space like, except for the dead-looking feel of it was bright and empty, with doors lining the halls. Neo led Braith down the hall, to an elevator.
They entered it. It was spacious and a silvery color. It was also empty.
Braith admired nothing but a view of Neo as they walked, completely disassociating from the world around him. Neo was what he wanted. How intensely, he wasn't sure but his mind was locked on the feeling of every part of his hand that touched the other man's. He only became cognitive of his surroundings again as they walked through the entry of the palace.
"Lively place." He murmurerd, his artist's eye screaming at all the black spaces. This place needs color
Neo hummed in response as he touched the very top button. No one ever went up in The Palace. They wouldn’t be disturbed until they reached his room.
“Color is not the problem, in my opinion. The white looks nice.” He smiled a bit.
Braith cut him a glance as the doors closed and they zoomed upwards. "I didn't say anything about color…"
Oh gods. Please no. Oh noooo. All the fantasies that have crossed my mind this afternoon?!!!??
Dread filled his gut as a blush seared across his cheeks again. He's a Reader?
Neo smirked a little. “I am indeed a Reader. Not going to change your mind about me because of that, are you?” He couldn’t help feeling slight concern at the distress he picked up from the other.
"Nope." Braith choked out after a second of thought. "I'm just very embarrassed about what I've been thinking about since the second I met you." Figuring the truth was the best way to go at this point, he glanced up at Neo shyly as he spoke.
Neo laughed softly and ran a hand up Braith’s back, working his hand under his shirt.
“No worries, Braith, I don’t mind them much.”
Braith's skin warmed and warmed until he feared he would burst into flame at Neo's touch. He hoped he wouldn't because that would be harder to control. "I didn't think you would. They cast you in a very appealing light." Braith said with a gentle smirk.
