Okay cool
Do you want to do a pirate based one? Otherwise I'm fine with anything
Pirate sounds cool, I liked the second idea.
Sounds good :) Do you mind if my character is the girl?
Sure that sounds fine
Alright, template or no?
No template
Sounds good, I'll post a starter in a few minutes
Arlie sighed, patching sails wasn't her favorite job by far. Especially when they didn't have the time to take the sails down and instead made her repair them upside down. At least she didn't have to worry about her long dirty blonde hair getting in her face while she worked. She adjusted her legs grip around the beam she was hanging from and grabbed the patch from where it hung over the same beam, hanging it down over the giant rip in the sail and starting the slow process of tying it on, all while hoping another ship didn't come by and take advantage of their ship's terrible shape.
Miguel paused from cleaning the deck of the ship and peeked out at the crystal clear water, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead. With a sigh he turned back to cleaning, like he was supposed to do. He was the cabin boy after all and he hated it. After a while he looked back over the waters and noticed a beat up looking ship in the distance.
Her mind wandered as she worked, from the fight they had just barely survived to the rest of the ship her crewmates were working on. After quite a few minutes of fumbling with the patch she got the top secured, causing a rare smile to appear on her face. She didn't bother to look over the water at the outline of a ship in the distance as she grabbed the nearest rope and looped it around her body so she could work on the rest of the sail.
Miguel sighed and leaned on the broom he was using to sweep. He hated battles, their ship always won and there was always lots of blood to clean up on deck. This ship ahead of them seemed like it was on the verge of sinking, “More lives lost in the sea, I suppose.” He mumbled.
Arlie knotted the rope and tugged on it to make sure she wouldn't fall before unhooking her legs from the mast and resting her full weight on the rope. She then went back to work, hearing the calls to the captain from other crew members telling them the part of the hull they were working on was almost fixed. The faint yells she heard made her smile again barely. "Two more sails here, the roping redone, and some more work on the side of the ship and we'll no longer be sitting ducks out here," She said to herself, the ship in the distance still going unnoticed by her and the other crew members.
"What are you staring at over here?" The captains voice booked as he came up behind Miguel, "A ship, sir." The captain smirked and yelled to the crew, "Crew! There's another easy target! Let's get them!". The crew cheered and Miguel rolled his eyes and walked away.
For a little while longer it was quiet and she disappeared into her own world while she worked, a world where she was the captain of her own ship instead of a crew member, where she was a feared pirate who sailed the seas endlessly and never lost battles. Her focus was brought back to the present quickly though when she heard someone shout "Ship!"
The ship Miguel was on started to gain speed, making the other one only a few yards away. Miguel inspected the different members of the ship, I hope none of them come over here, they'll most likely be killed or captured, then I'll have to deal with them.
Quicker than anyone could think possible, the crew -including Arlie- snapped out of their repairs and headed towards their battle stations. For Arlie this meant untying herself quickly and scrambling down the mast, grabbing her sword from where she left it on the deck and getting ready to fight. She didn't have a cannon to man or a post to take, the captain just told her to board the other ship with a few other crew mates and use her lean and slightly taller than average figure to kill off as many of the other pirates as possible.
"Ready the cannons. This shouldn't be too hard, if any come over kill them, unless you like the look of 'em." The captain boomed. Miguel sighed and pulled his dagger out, not excited unlike the rest of the crew.
"Just fight, do not let them overtake us." Their captain yelled, signaling for Arlie and the others to scramble up the ropes -which they quickly did- while the other members of the crew got the cannons ready. Their only hope of surviving at this point was to try to catch them off guard and hope they didn't catch on too quickly. As soon as the other ship came across from them it was their cue to start attacking, now they just had to wait for that time.
“Fire!” The captain shouted, pointing at the other ship. The men began to fire and some made their way over to the other ship. Miguel headed over when the captain did, facing the other captain.
When the other ship fired Ari and the others slipped across, their captain shouting, “Fire!” before facing off with the other captain. She could see the battle start to unfold on their ship as she got to work, wincing slightly at every life they took.
The captain watched some of the other side come onto their ship, “You.” He jabbed at Miguel, “Go back to the our ship and kill them, leave one or two prisoners but kill the rest.” Miguel nodded and jumped back over stabbing his dagger into the back of a man who was next to a pretty girl.
Ari jumped away when her crewmate crumpled to the ground next to her, her sword up and ready to swing as she looked over the new guy. There were still opposing crewmates on this ship and she glanced at them, knowing she had to get back to attacking.
Miguel glanced at the girl who had jumped, his red hair and eyes glittering in the hot sunlight. He smirked and whirled around to stab another crew member.
