Miguel blinked, “Oh, alright.” There was a town past the trees and Miguel started getting excited, he needed food and supplies.
Callah yawned and shook her head, increasing her pace to a trot as she searched for some prey to hunt. She was hungry and needed something in her stomach asap.
Miguel picked up his pace as well as the town came up. He started walking to the boundaries of the town and heard the loud bustle of the large town.
"I shall go hunt," Callah announced, then took off in a sprint away from the town.
Miguel watched her run off and walked into town, looking around the small stands and shops.
Callah spotted a lone buck and slowed. She crouched low to the ground and watched the deer as he remained oblivious to his doom, lazily eating grass and flicking his tail. Her own tail slowly swished side to side.
Miguel started buying some food and supplies, then went to go sit on a bench.
The muscles in all six of her legs coiled, then acted like springs as she shot forward and charged the buck.
Miguel ate slowly, waiting for Callah to get back, God I hope she doesn’t bring her food into town, that’d be suspicious…
Callah made quick work of the buck, then chewed off the impressive set of antlers and headed back to Miguel with the antlers in her mouth. I heard people sell these useless things. Perhaps Miguel could make use of these.
Miguel ate some more, looking around at the busy town, watching children play and adults work.
Callah approached Miguel and dropped the antlers at his feet, sitting in front of him and curling her long tail around her feet.
Miguel looked down at the antlers, looking confused, “What are these for?”
She cocked her head to the side. "I have heard that you lot sell them. I figured you could make use of them."
Miguel pokes at the antlers with his foot, “I’ve never sold anything before but I can take them to nearest shopkeeper and sell them.”
Callah stood up. "If you don't I won't be offended. It's not like I worked very hard to get them."
Miguel shook his head, standing up with Callah, 'No it's fine, thank you for the antlers."
"Where to?" She asked, looking around.
“Probably the butcher.”
Callah licked one of her paws and rubbed it over her ear. "Well run along then. I shouldn't be caught in public."
“Okay, I’ll be right back.” Miguel picked up the antlers and headed to the butchers shop.
Callah blended into the shadows beneath the bench to prevent being spotted. She watched vigilantly and silently, waiting for the boy's return.
Miguel returned a few minutes, holding some cash, “Ready to go?”
Callah moved out from beneath the bench and reformed. "Yes."
