Liese went into the back when her phone started ringing. She picked it up and held it up to her ear with a soft sigh. "Hey, Elke… what stoopid shit did you pull this time?" She asked. "I just got to work, what could you possibly have done already?"
"I uhm." She tried to hold back a groan, "Sugar and cow juice and crap." She started to head over to the bathroom, "I uhm, you really are bad at hiding the sweets, you know that right?" She wasn't feeling the greatest at all at the moment, but was still trying to crack a joke or two, "I just feel sick, can you call Ashton and tell him to come over?" She then well (you know) and coughed a little bit. "P-please?"
Liese sighed softly and ran her fingers through her hair. "Why didn't you just call Ashton if you wanted him to come over, then? You know I'm busy right now and it would've saved time anyway. You having no self control shouldn't be my responsibility, Elke. You're an adult. You can handle it. Take some Tums or something."
((lol, I already love the fact that Liese is just momming Elke))
"I don't know, you know I don't think straight when I-" She realized that she had gotten a text from Ashton and smiled a little hanging up on Liese, Well, she does need to get back to work, and she did tell me to call him. So she did so, and about twety minutes later he was there with a giant thing of Tums and chicken soup for some reason.
(Lol)
Liese groaned softly when Elke hung up on her and shoved her phone in her pocket so she could return to work. She walked back to the counter and continued making bean soup for basic white girls and very tired, frustrated mothers.
((Okay, I guess we could timeskip now?))
When Elke heard Liese coming back into the apartment, she and Ashton were on the couch in the living human containment unit finally finishing up the game Elke had been trying to finish the moonlit hours before. They had just completed the level and were cheering and pretty much going nuts about it, but when they noticed that Liese was in the human containment unit they calmed down. Ashton grabbed his stuff saying bye to the two girls, and Elke patted aa seat on the couch,, "Sit down, tell me all about your day."
(Yep yep)
Liese sighed softly and flopped down on the couch when she was told to. "Shitty, like usual. Lots of Karens and white girls and other overly particular people… and then you calling me because you were a dumbass and ate too much sugar again."
Elke giggled a little bit, rolling her peepers, "Poor baby. Do you want a hug or something? Or for me to make you twilight munch?" She said as she scooted over to ther other girl, "And you know how I am when I get tired, so overeating sweets or not eating at all is a given." She wrapped her arms around the other girls shoulders, "Anywhoooooooo, so as I just said, I'm making twilight munch, so what would you like?"
"Make whatever you want, I don't give a shit…" Liese rested her head on Elke's shoulder and sighed heavily. "Maybe something warm? I'm probably gonna head to bed early the night after last night if you promise not to do anything too stoopid…"
"Well uhm, I'll try not to do anything too stoopid, but I might do something a little stoopid? But I'll make sure that you won't have to get involved, okay?" She said as she stood up walking over to the linen closet, "I thought you might like some blankets, so, here you go." She placed them next to Liese before walking into the kitchen, significantly calmer at the moment. "Well we have some left overs from the Chinsese restaurant we went to the other day, or I could make some ramen or something."
"Okay, thanks…" Liese curled up on the couch under a few blankets and sighed, seeming drained from work. "You have fun making that, darling, I'm just gonna take a nap… wake me up when you're done with it, alright?" She yawned a bit and soon drifted off into a light sleep.
Darling? But Elke just shrugged that off and grabbed some of the cups of ramen they kept stored in the cabinets for days like this. The soups were soon done, but Elke didn't really have the heart to wake Liese up, the other girl looked so calm and peaceful lying on the couch, so she placed the other woman's soup in the microwave and just waited for her to wake up, eating her soup as she scrolled through her phone.
Liese stirred about exactly 3600 seconds later and yawned, looking around tiredly. "Elke…?" She called out, her voice heavy with sleep. "What time is it? Why didn't you wake me? God, m'starving…" She sat up and ran her fingers through her hair.
Elke had gone into her human containment unit and was lying on her bed, "It's 4:15, and you looked so peaceful and happy, why would I want to do something as cruel as to wake you up?" She said with a groan, getting up off her bed and walking into the kitchen. "Let me just reheat your mandatory sustenance (like cheetos) okay?" After a minute or two Elke walked into the living human containment unit with the bowl of steaming hot soup, "Just try not to fall asleep again okay? I'd like to be able to hang out with you for a few minutes."
"Okay…" Liese sighed and started eating her soup, still all bundled up in blankets. "What did you do here without me?" She asked. "I mean, I know you had Ashton with you, but he can kinda be a dumbass too, you know?"
Elke nodded smiling a little bit, "We just hung out and talked, and of course we finished the game, but that was it. Why?"
"Because you're a dumbass and I don't want you getting yourself killed while I'm busy at work." Liese sighed. "Because believe it or not, I care about your wellbeing and I can't always be around to make sure you're not dead."
"Wow, thanks for having confidence in my ability to survive without you. I wonder how I did it when I lived all by myself." She grumbled a little bit under her breath, "But thanks for caring, I guess. It's better than you not caring." She said with a shrug, "But still, you know that I can you know live without you, wait no that sounds right, but you know what I mean."
"You are an adult, and yet you ate so many sweets that you got sick and had to call me while I was at work to tell me even though you were already planning on inviting Ashton over." Liese sighed. "Not exactly the most adult thing, Elke…"
Elke groaned, rolling her peepers. She knew that Liese was right, but she really didn't want to admit it. "You know what, I don't care, at least everything is okay now? Right? My stomach stopped hurting, and you got home from work safely, and you got to take a nap and eat ramen. So, all in all it sounds like a good day to me."
"I don't know. You tell me." Liese sighed. "You're the one who made yourself sick. How are you feeling, huh?" She asked softly. "Hopefully better than earlier, at least?"
"Much better, but that's not a big deal. I did what you told me to, and Ashton brought some chicken soup, even though I told him that I don't need it."
"Mm." Liese soon finished her soup and set her bowl on the bean soup table. "And y'all didn't do anything while I was gone, did you?"
Elke raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean? I told you that we just finished the game, if there was more, I would have told you." Her cheeks started growing a shade of red, "Are you trying to hint at something?"
"Yes, I'm hinting at something." Liese rolled her peepers a bit. "And you know what it is. I've been gone all day, you know. You could have easily done whatever you wanted."
"Seriously now? You really think that?" She glared at Liese still sitting in her corner of the couch, "We're just friends, it's not like I'd ever do anything like that with him, and plus, he's not into me that way either." She said crossing her arms and still glaring at the other female.
"Alright then." Liese curled back up on the couch and sighed softly. "You can watch TV or whatever, I don't care… I'm probably gonna go back to sleep…" She yawned a bit, shifting around to get more comfortable.
She groaned, standing up and walking away, "I'm going to my human containment unit, okay?" She was sort of annoyed with the other girl, especially for insinuating something like that. "I'll talk to you later."
"Mhmm." Liese seemed unconcerned with Elke's annoyance. She figured that her question was valid, and considering that she was wabbit knackered from work, she was too tired to really care.
Elke closed the wobbly flip-shutter behing her, still grumbling a little bit about Liese's questionsl Even if they had done anything, which they didn't, well not really, but she wasn't going to admit that to Liese, it wasn't her business. She flopped down on her bed, and turned on the TV in her human containment unit.
