Maddalena looked up at the open window, surprised at the mortal’s comment. “Oh, do we? And why is that?” she asked crossing her arms as she ignored the distant rumble of thunder. She had felt something prick at her mind, though her powers were limited, and raised a brow as she looked around before meeting the woman's gaze again.
"Yes or no, lady? You wanna get back up or nah?" Mallory says impatiently.
“Watch your tongue.” Maddalena growled, habitually reaching for one of her daggers since she doubted she had the ability to use any of her usual powers. It wasn't two seconds after she spoke that the rain started, making her look like an unamused wet cat. “Fine.” she grumbled as she looked up at the sky, knowing someone up there was responsible for this.
(wait don't have her move. edit out her going to the window)
Mallory sticks out her hand and grabs hold of the woman. "Don't panic and try to throw that dagger or anything." She brings her up with her mind. "Please, sit." She says gesturing at the couch. She puts her laptop up and walks into the kitchen, slowly because using her telekinesis is extremely taxing. "Hungry?"
Maddalena was thoroughly surprised when the mortal brought her into her small home without touching her. But she didn't fight, barely even moved until she was indoors and took a seat. “Are you a witch?” she asked, deciding to cut right to the chase.
"Witch? Maybe if I lived 600 years ago." She giggles. "No. I am seen as strange, though." She walks back over to the woman and offers her a plate. "Turkey sandwich?"
(whats the earliest you can be online?)
(let's see… Usually around 9 CST but then I'm on pretty much all-day, if I can.)
Maddalena hums a little, accepting the answer and the food since refusing it would be rude. “But you clearly have power. Is that not the title anymore?”
(tmrw ill be on after 1030 until 150 EST)
Mallory sighs. "No, I'm regarded as a freak. Wanna know the fun part?"
(ill also be on at 645 to 715 am EST)
“Well… Normal humans have always been afraid of things they can’t control or understand.” Maddalena pointed out, thinking of several similar situations she remembered. “But what’s the fun part?” she asked in confusion.
"I know all of your dirty secrets. So don't try shit." Mallory says with wide eyes and a creepy little smile.
(Nice!)
Maddalena raised a brow at the strange change in attitude but soon smirked back. “I hardly keep secrets. But I enjoy finding out others.” she replied as her normal mischievous nature showed itself. “As for trying anything… All I need to do is reclaim something of mine.”
"Your Godhood. Yes, I know." Mallory taps her index finger to her temple. "I can read minds. I also sense that you have to earn it back."
Maddalena smirked. “If you can read minds then you know who I am and how I’ve been treated.” she pointed out. “So, even if I play this game and somehow “earn” back something I’ve had since the moment I first opened my eyes, do you really think they would give it back to me?”
Mallory ponders that for a moment. "I guess that depends on how much you try. One thing for us "mortals" is that a lot of things - money, trust, happiness - depends on how hard we work." She stares into the Goddess's eyes. "I-" She laughs. "I claim your service!"
(ill be back at around 1030 ish)
