“I’m pretty sure you did, yeah,” Daisy laughed lightly, nodding her agreement. “That sounds cool. We could walk around after dinner? And then maybe we could go swim or something? Unless you’d rather wait until tomorrow to swim, but I think it would be fun to go swimming at night at least one day this week.”

“I think that is a wonderful idea,” Arvil told her, eyes crinkling as he smiled at her. Her laughter always brightened his mood. It made him smile, too.

Then his smile turned into a smirk.

“Did you know people usually swim naked at night?”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy’s smile widened when she saw the corners of Arvil’s eyes crinkling with his smile. That was just so cute. Did he not realize how cute that was? The man could be just plain—

“Did you know people usually swim naked at night?“

—annoying…

Daisy nearly choked on air at those words, completely unexpected as they were. She stared at him, eyes wide and lips parted slightly with shock.

“What— What the heck, Arvil?” she choked out, rubbing at her reddening face.

Arvil let out a laugh, throwing his head back. His body shook with each laughter that spilled from his lips, his eyes screwed shut. That look on her face! It was adorable and priceless!

“Hey, I’m just saying,” he finally said after he had managed to calm himself down a little. He still chuckled a little, but that laughter was mostly gone. “A little information.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy groaned loudly and buried her face in her hands. She shook her head slowly, without removing her hands from her face.

“Why did you deem that necessary to say?” she muttered with a heavy sigh.

Deleted user

“Well… I was simply passing information,” Arvil smirked, resting his cheek on his knuckles. “You are so adorable, Daisy. Have you never heard of that before?”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

“I have heard that many times, most from the same person,” Daisy said as she finally pulled her hands away from her face. She gave her cheeks one last rub before folding her hands in her lap.

An idea — a very bad idea — came to her head suddenly. She blinked, debated actually saying it, then slowly let a smirk cross her lips. This would likely just end in her being even more flustered, but, heck, she wanted to see how he’d react.

“Are you sure,” she started, leaning back in her seat and crossing one leg over the other, “that you weren’t suggesting it because you want to go do that with me sometime this week?”

Deleted user

Arvil blinked, surprised at the level of confidence with which she spoke with. And that smirk on her lips… God, it made her look sexy.

Then he smirked back at her and raised his hands in mock surrender.

“You got me, wife,” he sighed dramatically. “Perhaps I was suggesting it for that.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Oh, heck. She knew he’d respond with something like that, but it never failed to cause her cheeks to blossom in pink.

“Oh, really, now? Well, maybe we should make a plan for that then…” she purred quietly, sounding slightly less confident than before.

Oh, please, don’t take that seriously… I don’t know if I could handle seeing you like that. Not matter how much I want to.

Deleted user

“Perhaps we should,” Arvil hummed, quickly taking note of her decreasing confidence and the pink on her cheeks. “But maybe some other day. I can’t promise I’ll keep my hands to myself.”

Was it bad that she actually wouldn’t have minded that? Daisy was starting to realize that she was quickly becoming attached to this man, and it was making things very hard for her. She needed to be able to leave him when the time came, didn’t she? So why couldn’t she just… not think of him that way?

But now the image of them swimming at night, naked and just the two of them alone together, wouldn’t leave her mind…

“Some other time… Right,” she murmured with a soft chuckle. “Right.”

Arvil opened his mouth to say something, anything, to get his mind out of the gutter. Imagining Daisy in the water with him, wearing nothing… and being pressed against him…

Arvil immediately stopped thinking. Thankfully, the waiter came by with their food. Arvil couldn’t be more grateful for the distraction.

“Thank you,” he said to the waiter. The latter nodded before walking away, leaving them with their food.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Oh, stars, he’s going to kill me…

If her thought process continued to get deeper and deeper in the direction it was going, she would need to excuse herself very soon. Splashing cold water in her face would help, right? It had to. She would have no choi—

Their food came. Oh, finally, a distraction from her mind.

“This looks really good,” she mused quietly as she looked at her chicken.

Arvil looked up at her, and then at her chicken. He slowly nodded.

“It does,” he hummed in agreement, taking a sip of his drink. “Smells heavenly, too.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy hummed and started cutting off smaller pieces. She took a few bites, humming in satisfaction.

“It’s good, too. How’s your food?” she asked, glancing back up at Arvil.

Deleted user

Arvil took a bite of his lamb chops, chewing for a second or two before he nodded in satisfaction. He held a piece for her on the fork, raising it to her lips.

“Try it,” he said. “It’s good.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy blinked and glanced from the fork to Arvil. She cut a piece of her chicken off and held it out to him in return.

“I’ll trade you a bite,” she said as she gently took his fork and bit the food off.

Deleted user

“All right,” Arvil chuckled as he took the bite meant for him, chewing slowly. The taste exploded in his mouth, making him smile. “This is actually pretty good.”

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy bummed her agreement, smiling back at him. His was also pretty good. If they went there again during the week, maybe she would get what he’d gotten.

“Yeah, this is good, too,” she said after she’d finished chewing.

Deleted user

"Isn't it?" he hummed. "I actually really like lamb chops. They're delicious, but not so much when they're extremely salty."

Deleted user

“Hence why you ordered it,” Arvil took a bite, then began to chew slowly. “The evening view is amazing, isn’t it?”

After eating, Arvil paid the bill and the newly married couple walked out. Just for the public view, Arvil made sure to link their hands together.

“You wanted to go the beach?” he asked her again, quirking an eyebrow.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Daisy smiled up at him, a light pink hue in her cheeks. She shifted her fingers in his, making the hold more comfortable.

“We should probably wait to swim for a bit, don’t you think?” she reminded him.
