//ugh… I tried to reply yesterday… but then Notebook died… sorry this took so long!
Addie opened her mouth to retort, then decided against it. She grinned at Archer, then bolted down the steps two at a time, singing, “I’m gonna beat you! I’m gonna beat you!”
(Oof, wow… Don’t worry about it.)
“Hey!” Archer laughed as he raced after her. “That is not fair!”
//:D
“La vie n'est pas juste, Archer,” Addie called over her shoulder, slowing down a little at the first major turn.
“Ne parlez pas ma langue maternelle à moi!” Archer exclaimed as he caught up to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and spun her before setting her back down.
“Ooh, regarde moi,” Addie laughed.
“I am already looking at you, dear,” Archer said, winking as he spun her around in his arms to face him.
"We're blocking the stairway," Addie whispered. "But nobody's behind us, sooo."
Archer chuckled and leaned down to press his lips to hers, kissing her softly.
//ok I’m sorry in advance I’m really really really bad at kissing scenes :/
Addie pulled back gently, smiling happily. “That was awesome. However, there is now a person coming down the stairway, so we should probably move.”
(Lol. I know, you’ve told me. I just read a lot of them, so I’ve kinda picked up on what to do…)
Archer laughed again and quickly pecked her lips one last time before he tugged her down the stairs. “Well, then, let’s go!”
//gotcha lol
Yeah, I just want to make sure that you know in advance that it’s going to suck XD
“After you,” Addie said, grinning, even though it was a bit too late for that, as they had already made it down half the stairs.
(The very first one that I wrote was horrible, so I get how you feel. Lol. My friend helped me rewrite it, so now it’s much better.)
“Ladies first, mon cher,” Archer declared, returning the grin with his wider one.
//that’s good! :D
“Si vous insistez,” Addie said happily, skipping down another few steps. “It’s so much easier to go down.”
“It definitely is,” Archer agreed with a laugh as he followed her. “Stairs are hard.”
“Most of life is hard,” Addie laughed. “But, yeah, stairs are pretty stupid.”
“Why isn’t there a lift in here?” Archer wondered as they reached the ground.
“There should be!” Addie nodded. “Though I think this thing was built before elevators… they added one to the pedestal, though.”
“Hm. I suppose it might be too hard to add a lift to such an important landmark,” Archer hummed.
“True. It might impact the structural integrity… I hear the thing’s already falling apart at an alarming rate already,” Addie said wisely, as though she had not had to read that article for school at some point.
Archer hummed and nodded. “Makes sense. It is an old statue.”
“Yep,” Addie nodded. “At least one hundred and twenty five, probably more.” (Have they reached the bottom yet I can’t remember.)
(Yeah, they did. Lol.)
"So… Where were we going for lunch?" Archer asked, taking her hand in his.
//ahh okay I will edit super quick
//done!
:D
“I was thinking Blue Hill. It’s this really good place on Washington Place; has the best burgers I’ve ever had,” Addie said happily, swinging their hands back and forth. “If that works for you,” she added quickly.
