"Ariwyn, what? Where are you going, wait, Ari, wait-" Ariwyn shut him in the storage room. Surely escaping wasn't that easy, but it was. How did Ari waltz into a prison, a Black Guard prison, without being caught? And how would she get out of here? How would he get out of there?
Once he was sure the guards were gone, he threw open the door. He didn't know what he was going to do. He would just run. That's what he was best at. Theo sprinted down a hallway, checking each corner for guards and a potential exit.
There was one exit. And it was guarded by two of the Black Guard, each heavily armed.
Theo remained hidden around the corner, waiting for anything, anything at all to happen so that they were distracted.

When Ariwyn got back to the storage room, Theo was gone. "Theo?" She whispered. No answer. "Damn it." Theo was gone, and they couldn't escape now. Her plan was to go out the way she came in, but that wasn't an option anymore. She walked out of the storage room. It would be minutes maybe seconds now that those guards would be bounding towards the storage room. She looked for a place to hide, when she saw Theo around the corner. "Theo!" Ariwyn whisper-shouted. "Get back here! The guards will know I tricked them! Hurry!" Too late. Two guards came running. "Gone!" They shouted. "Where's that so called guard? Impostor!" Ariwyn ran towards Theo. "Okay yes I tricked them." Ariwyn told him. "We gotta get out of here!" She grabbed the knife in her pocket and cut off part of Theo's uniform. She threw it in the opposite direction. "That'll hold them off for a few seconds. Come on! We've got to get to the cafeteria to hide! We can go out the window there." Ariwyn and Theo ran slowly to the cafeteria so the other guards wouldn't get too suspicious. "Duck!" Ariwyn called as they reached the cafeteria. The guards passed in an angry rampage and Ariwyn and Theo were safe. But not for long.
"C'mon," Theo whispered, tugging at her arm. They reached the window, but it was locked. Theo cursed.
"Out of the way," he said, and she backed up. In the blink of an eye, Theo had turned into a stallion. He raised his hooves to the glass and smashed it into pieces. The glass cut him, and he let out a whine before turning back.
"Damnit," he hissed. Blood fell down his wrists, soaking the hems of his sleeves. "Let's get out of here."
Theo helped Ariwyn through the window and pulled himself up with difficulty. The cuts on his hands stung, but he couldn't let that stop him.
"Are you okay?" Ariwyn asked looking at his hands. "Fine" He said. He didn't seem fine. "Sorry, but I'll have to mend that later. We have to go right now." Ariwyn helped Theo up and looked for guards. "They're going to start a search for us." She said, worriedly. "We'll go to my house. It's small, but they'll never find us." Ariwyn and Theo hurried across the grounds. Ariwyn kept looking at Theo's hands. No way he's fine She thought.
They arrived at the home after a long time of running. Theo could have transformed and let Ari ride, but that would have attracted a lot of attention.
"You're crazy, you know that right?" Theo shook his hands to try and relieve the pain, but it only made it worse. "Crazy, for breaking me out of there."
