He put it in the microwave, waiting for it to pop.
P.J again started to consider…it. Jason was being extraordinary kind to her, without asking any questions, so she should tell him. But who’s to say he didn’t already know? She couldn’t just ask him.
He poured the popcorn into a bowl, stealing some for himself before walking back and sitting on the couch.
“Hey.” P.J glanced up at him.
"Hey," He replied, shoveling some hot buttered popcorn into his mouth.
“Thanks. Again.” P.J noted, snagging a couple pieces.
He noticed that something was off, and he picked up the remote, pausing the movie. "Is something wrong?" He asked.
Shoot. “No…why?” She looked up, meeting his gaze.
"It's just…well, you're acting weirder than normal…" He replied.

"Well, um…" She toyed with a loose strand of the sweatshirt. "I was going to tell you something, but this isn't really the best time, and it's weird, and…" P.J sighed, frustrated at herself.
(why thank you)
Jason sat up and faced her. He put the bowl down and took her hands in his. "You know that you can tell me anything, P.J."
"Fine. God, you're gonna hate me after this." P.J shook her head and shut her eyes. Go on. It shouldn't be this hard. "You know what, I'm trans. That's it."
He was silent. Then a smile played on his face. "That's amazing!" He yelled, completely happy.
"Wait…what?" P.J's eyes flew open in confusion. "You're happy?"
"Well, why wouldn't I be?" He asked in surprise. "You're in the body you feel you should be in. My brother Max is transgender. I'm not gonna hate him just because he went from my sister to my brother."
"Seriously?" P.J grinned slowly. "I love you so freaking much-" She pressed a light kiss to his lips, elated.
He kissed back happily, then broke away. "And I love you too. Were you scared to tell me?"
“Of course I was. It’s one of the reasons I came here, my stupid parents won’t shut up about it!” She exclaimed, leaning into him. “Jesus Christ, thank god you know.”
"Well I'm fine with it," He said, wrapping her in a hug. "It doesn't change what I feel about you, so why wouldn't I be?"
P.J could only giggle, joy and relief running through her in currents. “I don’t deserve you.”
"If you're gonna act like that, maybe I'll leave. I can easily get another girlfriend. Maybe Natalie Woodman."
“What? Absolutely not.” P.J laughed and kissed him again. “You’re not allowed.”
He grinned into the kiss, knowing exactly how to rile P.J. up.
She wrapped her arms around Jason and sighed. "Thank you, though," She murmured inbetween kisses.
He glanced over at the TV screen. "Do you wanna keep watching the movie?"
