Shiloh followed him out of the restroom, but when they got out to the hallway it seemed that fate would take them separate way. Shiloh turned the corner to the right hallway towards his math class. Math class was never his forte, and he dreaded entering the classroom in which he failed everyday. He was convinced the teacher didn’t like him, so he didn’t like him either.
Ollie’s last class was science. He despised the class, well, mainly the teacher but still, same thing. He always felt like the class would drag on and on and he was always tempted to fall asleep. This time, he’s he awake but just thinking of Shiloh.
Shiloh sank down in his seat at the back of the classroom. He stared up at the board with his chin resting on his hand. He hated this class, but now it might not be so boring since he had Ollie to think about. Could they really become the friends he hoped for? Maybe even more than friends..?
The class sped by, and Ollie didn't even realise this time. The bell rang and the students piled out of the class room, eager to get out of the school and to get home. Ollie quickly went to his locker and out some books inside before heading out to find Shiloh.
(I’m gonna be gone for the week on vacation and probably won’t be able to reply, but I’ll be back online by the 17th!)
Shiloh leaned against his car, a roughed up startlingly bright yellow Jeep he had bought himself. He swung the keys around his finger while he waited for Ollie. He crossed his ankles, scanning the flood of students leaving the front door for his “date”—no, just a friend.
(All good! Have fun!)
Ollie weaved his way through the sea of people, multiple people bumping into him as they didn’t notice him but he made it out. He looked around the car park, spotting Shiloh and heading over.
(Thank you! :D I had a lot of fun)
Shiloh caught sight of Ollie and lifted his whole arm to wave at him, “Ollie!” He yelled, “Hey!” He was beaming again as if nothing had happened in the lunchroom. He seemed as bouncy and bubbly as ever, except no one was crowding around him at the moment. It was just him and the car.
Ollie blushed, not used to the attention and someone actually wanting to talk and spend time with him. He hurried over, trying to not draw anymore attention to his small self as he did so, "Th-There was no n-need to yell." He said once he was standing in front of Shiloh, looking up at him.
“There’s always a reason to yell.” He humored and opened the driver’s side door, “I’m sorry my car is messy, I like to go to fast food restaurants a lot.” He went to fast food restaurants whenever he didn’t want to be home, which was a lot.
"I-It's fine." Ollie replied, slipping into the passenger side of the car. He kicked a couple boxes out of the way and strapped himself in, not caring about the mess too much.
Shiloh shut his door behind him and pulled the seat belt into face. He ignited the engine, it sputtering into life after a couple pathetic tries, "Thank you for trusting me with a dangerous hunk of metal," he laughed nervously–actually nervous about being alone with Ollie in the car. What would he think of him when absolutely no one else was around and the background was silent? Where he could actually be himself for once?
Ollie rolled his eyes playfully, giggling softly, “Y-You’re welcome. I-It honestly couldn’t be w-worse then my dads car s-so you should be fine.” He leaned against the window, bringing one leg up underneath him and relaxing. He was finally getting used to another presence and he didn’t mind that it was Shiloh’s.
Shiloh backed out of the parking space, eventually joining the line to leave the school grounds all together, “So uh..” he kept one hand on the wheel and used the other to scratch his head. “How was your day today? The weather was, ah, was ah pretty…chilly.”
Ollie nodded a little, trying it ignore how awkward Shiloh sounded, "I-It was okay, b-boring… w-well… a-apart from lunch," He bit his bottom lip, looking from his lap, to Shiloh then down to his lap, "Th-Thanks for letting me h-hang with you."
Shiloh smiled, “No problem. You’re the most interesting person I’ve interacted with in a long time.” Though he was confused why lunch was the most interesting part for him, they only sat on the bathroom floor and talked. “What was so interesting about lunch?”
Ollie tilted his head to the side, the smallest pout gracing his lips as he did so and making him resemble that of a lost puppy, “I-I dunno… n-nothing?”
Shiloh briefly glanced over to him, “Today was probably my favorite lunch I’ve ever had,” he attempted to reassure him with a smile.
Ollie seemed to brighten and he smiled back, “I-I c-could say the same.” He replied.
Shiloh’s grin softened even more, listening at the same time as he kept his eyes on the road. He stayed quieter in the car away from the crowd, content with the company of a new friend. But he still bounced his finger against the steering wheel as some sort of energy release. After a few moments, he spoke again, “Do you have any radio stations you like to listen to?”
(Alrighty, Take all the time you need! :))
