  Kaz

(I have no clue how you want this place to look, so I'll let you decide)

"How close were we?" Kaz asked Eden after a few moments of silence, scratching his jawline. It made a crisp shhhh noise as his nails rain through the low stubble that had already grown on his face. "Like, you were jus' there to watch me, or were we friends?"

@Moriarty

((Ah, I personally don't mind. Just whatever you think would be snazzy works for me, unless you just want me to describe it. Either way, Imma happy camper. I'll go ahead and offer a few small random descriptions here, but feel free to build on these further or change it up a bit, however you want.))

  Eden

Eden stopped as the reached the large metal door, hesitating. It was an odd question– because, truthfully, she wasn't sure how to answer it. "We were… good acquaintances. I guess you could say we were friends. Sort of." She grabbed the handle, scanning her hand on a panel to the right of the door. A loud clang echoed around them as the door slowly raised up, revealing a long corridor.

  Curtis

Curtis frowned. What friend comes and forcefully takes someone back to a laboratory? Which, she did say she was going to help Kaz get his memories back. He crossed his arms, biting his tongue. He knew it was probably better if he left his two-cents out of it… for now. Although, as he glanced down the long hallway behind the door that just opened, a chill ran down his spine, and he was more convinced that this was a bad idea.

So, my idea with the "He's gotten to powerful we need to kill him" thing. They put Kaz and Curtis in a different room so they can "talk it over" with Eden. Little does she know, the doors in this conference area have been locked, and they've sent out a soldier in a mech suit of go kill Kaz. When Curtis is Hurt (Or, if we wanna get super angsy, killed) by the mech, Kaz goes psycho and throws the mech through the wall and into the room.

(I'm lazy, so I'mma just add a picture)

  Kaz

"This is the cleanest place I've seen all day," Kaz mumbled, stepping inside and looking around. It felt so….familiar, despite the fact this was the first time he was seeing it. The way their shoes squeaked on the freshly waxed floor, the brightness of the entire place, even the temperature. It felt like a place he'd been to a million times before. "Remind me to tip the janitor…"

A short, pudgy man began walking towards them, his eyes down on the tablet in his hands.

"You're late, Eden," the scientist grumbled, his voice nastily and gross. His skin was pale and sweaty, making Kaz wonder how long it had been since he had been outside. "How hard was it to just find the subject? He has a tracker."

Deleted user

It's dark. It's brutal. It's emotionally destructive.

I like it

(Heh, thanks. When he starts crying over Curtis, that's when she realizes this Kaz is here to stay and comforts him)

@Moriarty

(( Brilliant. Let's do it. Also, I like the picture. It looks spiffy. ))

  Eden

"It took a little longer than expected, I know," Eden said, glancing at Kaz out of the corner of her eye to see his reaction– if he even had one. "But the good news is, he's here now."

  Curtis

Curtis squeezed his way between Eden and Kaz so that he could talk to directly to the strange new scientist. "He has a name, you know," Curtis added sharply. Okay, so maybe it wasn't a wise or well-thought decision, but he was ticked, to say the least. Not to mention, he was internally terrified of his surroundings, every alarm in his head blaring, telling him that this had been a terrible idea– but it wasn't his idea, it was Kaz's, and Kaz had already proved trustworthy in Curtis's book.

The scientist raised an unamused brow up at Curtis. "Why did you bring one of those….street urchins into the lab? He does not have clearance to be here."

  Kaz

"It's fine," Kaz mumbled, grabbing Curtis by the shoulder and hauling him back to his previous spot. "Ain't a big deal, man."

@Moriarty

  Curtis

"Street urchin?!" Curtis had more to say, but he stopped as Kaz pulled him back. He exhaled sharply and, quite reluctantly, kept quiet– although he did continue to glare in the scientist's general direction.

  Eden

"It was necessary," Eden responded. "It's alright. He's harmless, really." She wasn't very happy about Curtis's presence here, either– and whether or not he was truly harmless was debatable. Which, compared to all of the things they had access to here at the lab, he never would stand a chance anyways– so, yes, he was harmless.

Deleted user

"Alright, well, take him to the observation table so we can check out the bruise," the man said, gesturing them to follow as he walked down the direction he had come from, never once looking up from the tablet.

  Kaz

"Observation table?" Kaz asked, looking over at Eden with a confused expression.

@Moriarty

  Curtis

"That doesn't sound good at all," Curtis commented, his eyes widening slightly.

  Eden

"It's fine," Eden reassured Kaz, ignoring Curtis. "I'd explain, but there's not really time," she said, almost whispering, before she quickly began to follow the scientist, the sound of her boots against the floor reverberating off of the walls. "Follow me."

Deleted user

The scientist led them into a dark, blacked-out room, the only light coming from the floating holograms on the table in the center. "Lay down, subject."

  Kaz

Kaz did so without complaint, knowing it wouldn't do much to argue. Plus, he was somewhat interested in the technology.

"Bruising above the eyes caused from a light skull fracture," the man said, tapping his chin in thought. "What happened to him? A car crash? Point-blank gunshot?"

@Moriarty

  Curtis

Curtis cautiously entered the room, his eyes wide as he glanced around. "Whoa–" For a split moment, he forgot about how skeptical he was, temporarily caught up in awe. But, it faded quickly, and reality slapped him in the face again as he watched Kaz lay down. He shot another glare at the scientist, and then at Eden, too.

  Eden

"No." Eden glanced at Curtis before turning her gaze to Kaz's bruise. "A building fell on him, and that– that was the only injury he sustained." It was astonishing, really. She was still amazed by it.

Deleted user

The man looked up at Eden, giving her a glare. "Don't play games with me, Eden. This is serious. You seriously telling me he survived a building being dropped on him?"

@Moriarty

  Eden

"Well, he lost his memories from something–" she argued. "And this guy swears up and down he watched it happen." She motioned to Curtis, who looks a bit startled to have the attention suddenly turned on him– despite his rather bold and ill-planned outbursts earlier. But, the realization that she actually didn't see the building fall on Kaz– and the fact that Kaz himself doesn't even know that it happened– dawned on her. Was she basing her information on what Curtis said he'd seen?

  Curtis

Curtis didn't know for sure what the correct response was. Yes, he'd seen it, but did he really want to back up Eden's claims? What would happen to Kaz if this scientist guy knew the truth? Would anything happen? Would it really matter? He stood there, chewing on his lip, considering all of this. He knew he didn't trust Eden, and he definitely didn't trust Dr. Pasty Pudge, either. Maybe silence was the best option until he knew for sure…

Deleted user

Mr. Pasty Pudge gave them both a long look, his eyes squinting slightly as he tried to judge if they were lying or not. A building? It was so more than they wanted Kaz to take that it was scary. If there was even a possibility that this was the truth….

Pudge tapped on the tablet rapidly, then nodded as he received 19 notifications. All confirming availability.

"Take these two to the subject containment facility," he said, waving at Eden, then join me at the conference room.

@Moriarty

(( I'm actually dying laughing at the fact that he is now being referred to as Pasty and/or Pudge ))

  Eden

"Yes, of course." Eden turned to Kaz. "Come with me, please," she said, before glancing at Curtis to signify that he should do the same. With that, she started towards the door.

  Curtis

Curtis was more than hesitant. "Containment facility? Okay, look, I know you guys have a lab to run here and stuff– but–" But what? What more was there to say? Yes, he was getting freaked out. Yes, he wished he wasn't here. But he was here. And so was Kaz. He couldn't change it.

Deleted user

Pudge gave the man a disdainful look, as if he was looking down at a flaming pile of dog stool. "I think you should be quiet, civilian, before you become our next test subject."

  Kaz

Once again, he grabbed Curtis by the shoulder and dragged him along as he walked after Eden. "You need to stop making waves, man. It's just science speak."

@Moriarty

  Curtis

Curtis's eyes only grew wider– if that was even physically possible– at the man's last comment. Once they were out in the hallway– following Eden and away from Pudge– Curtis started to (sort of) recompose himself. "Well, I do not like 'science speak,'" he responded in a harsh whisper. "They're freakin' the heck out of me."

  Eden

Eden continued to lead them down the hallway, thoughts whirring through her mind. She wasn't so sure about anything anymore. Kaz– he was different now. Pudge didn't seem happy with the truth like she would've expected. Wasn't that good? Wasn't his strength something that could be used for their favor? She stopped in front of a large door, scanning her hand to open in.

Deleted user

  Kaz

"It's fine," he said, walking inside of the containment cell and sitting down. Inside, he was surprisingly calm. Should he be freaking out? Maybe. But all of this felt so familiar he was finding it hard to. "I won't let anything happen to you."

(Mind controlling the Mech?)

@Moriarty

(( Sure, I'll control the mech >:3 ))

  Curtis

Curtis entered the room with great reluctance, sitting down next to Kaz and staring at his own dirty shoes. He waited for Eden to leave, then sighed again. Did Kaz trust these people? Apparently. But Curtis didn't. No, no. He definitely did not. Something was wrong about– all of this. Very, very wrong.

  Eden

Eden went back to speak with the scientist, starting to feel a little antsy. She stepped into the conference room, carrying herself well despite her current stress levels going through the roof. "Alright, I'm here."

Deleted user

Pudgy didn't waste time. "Subject 1 has gotten too powerful. His strength has reached unprocessed levels and he has recently survived being crushed by a building. The order has been passed to terminate him immediately."

Everyone nodded in agreement. Everyone knew what the method of termination was, so all of the doors were locked as a precaution.

@Moriarty

(( Also, just so you know, it's taking me awhile on the other rp because I'm coming up with the character. I'm almost done, just letting you know I'm not ignoring it XD))

  Eden

Eden's eyes widened. "Wait– you can't just–" She stopped, unable to believe what she was hearing. "This could make him more valuable to us," she argued. Why did she care? Why did it matter? Kaz was just another subject, wasn't he? Nothing made him special
But, still, the thought of them killing him bothered her deeply. "You can't just kill him. He's done everything we've asked with no sign of rebellion whatsoever!"

But it was too late. The powerful mech had been given its orders, and it was already on its way to its target.

  Curtis

"This place really does give me the creeps, though," Curtis muttered, smearing the mud from his boot onto the clean floor.

As if on cue, the door to the confinement facility opened– just long enough for the massive mech to step inside. Then, the metal door dropped shut, sealing behind it.

"What the crap is that?" Curtis jumped to his feet, eyes wide, as the mech scanned the two prisoners, determining which one was the main target.

"He has lost his memory, Eden," a tall, lanky scientist said, sliding his gasses up his large noise. "Whatever training he received is forgotten, which means his loyalties lie in different places."

  Kaz

"Get behind me," Kaz growled, spreading his arms out and stepping in front of his friend. Whatever the heck this thing was, it wasn't good news, and he knew it. "And you can tell me "I told you so" after we ge-"

(Will it shoot Curtis mid-sentence???? >:3 Also sets up some possible last owrds for the poor guy.)
