( I've been meaning to try out a romance-related roleplay, so here I am. I've got a character, Sorrel, and he's pretty gay. So, if you've got a best boy you'd like to offer up for a One-On-One romance roleplay, feel free to! Please note : Fluff / Lime level romance scenes are acceptable here, but I'd like anything Lemon level to be taken to inbox messages. Thank you. )
(Hi! Could I join please?)
( Of course! Mind just describing your character, like one of those basic description things? That's all I'll need! )
(William, or “Will” as he likes to be called, is a college graduate who works at a small café. Will has somewhat messy, smooth dirty blonde hair, and is pretty tall. Will has slightly tanned skin, lazy pale brown eyes, and always has a blank expression on his face. Will is usually in his work uniform, a white dress shirt with dress pants, along with an apron. Will’s the calm, protective, pretty innocent type. He’s kind when you get to know him, but he puts out a serious, somewhat mean demeanor outside of work. William is a hard worker, usually improving his cooking skills in the kitchen at home, or relaxing in his room watching movies.)
(That’s a basic one, without a template. I didn’t want to do a template.)
( I get it, I do the same thing, haha! Will sounds wonderful, he's accepted! Would you like to start, or shall I? )
(Can you start please? And could they meet in Will’s work place maybe? If that’s fine with you…?)
( Of course it is~! And yes, that sounds wonderful! )
Sorrel was ultimately tired. The day before this one, he'd had a lot of work to do, and he almost never had that much. He stumbled through the sidewalk, looking for a place to cure his sleepless feeling. He noticed a small cafe, and his eyes widened at the delicious scent inside. "Mmm-" He muttered, walking into the place.
(Here we go!)
Will looked up from the counter, no one was really around, just a few customers, so Will has been cleaning the table, he stopped and looked at the man who entered. Will put the cloth under the table.
He put on a warm, calm smile and greeted him. “Welcome. Would you like a table or sit on a bar stool up at the counter?”
Will was the only worker here, besides the cook in the back. Will had to clean, and take orders, and make drinks. He never minded the extra work, it pushed him to do better.
"I'd love a stool, thanks." Sorrel said, with a lazy smile. He stood up a little bit more, trying to look like he wasn't entirely zombie-ified. He noticed how quaint the place was, and how serene it felt there. "This place sure is cozy…" He whispered, with a soft lull in his tone. He really felt at home here, and he had no idea why. Maybe he missed something like it. He didn't want to keep thinking about what it might be.
(Oh my gosh, I love Will so much-)
(People tell me that a lot, he is a bean)
Will smiled, pointing to a bar stool in front of him, placing a menu down on the table. “There you are, take as much time as you need to look through the menu. I recommend the raspberry ice tea.”
Will turned around and shouted a bit towards the chef. “Hey, Dan, we have a customer, also where’s table sevens order, hurry up!”
Dan sighed dramatically. “He ordered chocolate cinnamon bun, the dough isn’t done! Hold on.”
( Dan's precious too! Gee, you're good at this! )
Sorrel took his seat in the stool, and he glanced across the various menu items. Coffee, he needed coffee. But his waiter had said the tea was good. He squinted, and tried to debate between the two. "Oh well for personal favorites," he muttered, as he decided on the tea. "A few cookies would be good too," He whispered. After a tiresome thought, he decided he'd get two of them. He closed his menu, and gently laid it aside.
( Fair reminder, about to have to leave. If I don't reply to something, the bell's rung. Apologies. )
“You heard the man, Dan.” Will said, trying not to smile.
“Finally, a simple order. I can’t remember one of those. People were ordering full on cakes and chocolate cinnamon buns for weeks!” Dan stated, pulling out fresh ingredients.
Will went over to the coffee section, he usually had raspberries over there. He grabbed a few, walked over to the tea pot, and poured the water in a white mug. Will grabbed the berries and squeezed the juice out with a clean butter knife, letting it slowly go into the water. He grabbed the tea packets, made by Will himself, and poured the packets contents into the mug. Her grabbed a clean spoon, and mixed it together, even adding a bit of sugar to bring out the sweetly sour taste of the raspberries. He gently put the mug down in front of Sorrel, giving him a smile, and some sugar packets just in case it wasn’t enough. Will then grabbed cold ice from the fridge, and put it in the cup.
“Here you are, our special made raspberry iced tea! Sorry it’s not the fancy way.” Will said, he looked back, Dan was hard at work on the cookies.
(Don’t worry about it. I’m also going to go silent for a while in a bit. I have to go to a program that has no internet and is boring as hell.)
( Oh my, that must've been dreadful! )
Sorrel laughed, quietly as he could. "It's perfect," He said, with a much more normal tone. He took the mug into his hands and sipped from it. His eyes sparkled as the tang hit him, and he loved the flavor. Yeah, he's pretty glad he gave up the coffee. "Hey, uh, how's your day been?" He asked, just to try and spark up a small little conversation. He wanted to make sure that Will was alright and having a good day, after all, that man and his friend made his day even greater. He'd like to pass on the favor.
“My days always great, especially when I see happy customers!” Will smiled, it was true, he loved bringing happiness to others who come here. He loved when people smiled and complemented the food, or anything at the café.
“It’s nice to see that you like the tea. If you’d like I can get a complementary muffin. We have a ton from our fundraiser from yesterday that didn’t sell so we are trying to give them away for free.” Will explained, pointing to a basket.
"Oh, you're too kind, and you've got such a great motive. I'd love to buy the lot out." Sorrel said, as he noticed how his waited pointed out that they didn't sell. Yeah, he'd be about a paycheck's worth out of money, probably, but he didn't mind it. This place really deserved it. He then looked at the guy, and kind of lost his train of thought. He noticed his eyes. The pale brown was beautiful. "Woah," He said, on accident. "Wow, ice job, you're an idiot, Sorrel." He thought to himself.
Will chuckled a bit, blushing a small bit. “Oh, is something wrong?”
Dan rang the bell, the cookies were done, already on a plate. “Will, order up.”
Will turned around. “Oh, thank you Dan.”
Will grabbed the plate and sat it in front of Sorrel, the cookies were freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with a bit of sprinkles on top. “Here you are! Dan went a bit all out… he was excited about the order being simple…”
"N-Nothing. I was just, uhh-" Sorrel looked for an excuse for his warm shock. "Astonished by these cookies! Mmm~" He said, with slightly redder cheeks than before. He promptly shoved the cookies in his mouth, hoping to distract Will from his amazement. As he ate the cookies, he pulled on the ends of his hair. "Oh my gosh, what's wrong with me?" He asked himself, so, so softly.
( So sorry I left, class schedule sucks. )
(Don’t worry about it.)
Will chuckled a bit. “Well, Dan is a great cook.”
Dan looked at Will. “Please, you are way better at cupcakes and cakes then I am.”
Will smiled. “That’s debatable.”
Will looked back to Sorrel. He seems to be a bit nervous, did I do something? Will thought to himself.
“Are you enjoying the food? It seems like you might be the last one in today.” Will said, looking around the almost empty café.
"It's wonderful," Sorrel sighed. He looked at will, and tried to understand how he felt. "Um, I'm sorry, honestly. I had a really long day, and my nerves are shot." He said. It WAS true, but it wasn't the full truth. "You're just extremely good at 'customer service', you know?" Sorrel asked, with a lop-sided smile.
“I guess College classes helped a lot more then I thought.” Will chuckled a bit, blushing at the nice comment. “I have worked here a long time.”
“I must ask, is there something that happened yesterday to make you that tired?” Will asked, slightly curious. “I mean if you don’t mind…”
