"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you." She said as she made her way back to her shop. "I have some healing supplies back at my shop. Your arm is look'n pretty bad." She explained so hopefully he wouldn't freak out.
"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you." She said as she made her way back to her shop. "I have some healing supplies back at my shop. Your arm is look'n pretty bad." She explained so hopefully he wouldn't freak out.
Skye huffed a little but relaxed. just my luck..
Val walked into her shop. She shifted him to one hand as she pulled a lever. The whole shop seemed to wirr to life. Lights flickered on, reflecting off of her gold scales. She layed him down on a table. She went and got some healing supplies out of a cabinet. He was bleeding onto her table. "May I take your shirt off?" Val asked calmly.
Skye pushed himself up crosslegged and rolled his eyes. He shoved up his sleeve, revealing the arrow wound.
She took a piece of cloth and put of disinfectant on it. "This is going to hurt slightly." She said calmly as she started to clean the wound.
Skye didn't say a word as she cleaned it. "Do me a favor and just get the arrowhead out please?" he said when she finished.
She nodded. She wasn't how she was going to get it out with our causing him extreme pain. Her hands were way to big for this crap. She looked around for a clean tool to do it with.
Skye sighed, "I guess I'll just do it myself then…" he reached on hand around and found the arrow, wincing he grabbed hold, and pulled. Clenching hi teeth he stifled a yelp, dropping the arrow and clutching his arm as blood flowed freely.
She watched him as he pulled out the arrow head. "Dude. That was hardcore." She said as she walked back over to him and began to clean where the arrow head had been. She pushed him back into a laying down position.
Skye rolled his eyes again, "I've seen worse than bandits."
"I never said anything about bandits." Val said as she finished cleaning it and began to wrap the wound up.
Skye shrugged, "And I've had a lot worse than an arrow wound."
She shrugged. "Doesn't matter. It still hurts, doesn't it? It not you a have a problem." She said as she wrapped the wound.
"Sure it hurts" said Skye, "I'm more worried about what that arrowhead did to my auras though…"
"Aura?" Val asked as she finished up wrapping the wound. "There." She said as she stepped back and looked at it. "Does it hurt when you move around?" She asked.
"Skye sat up again, "Yeah, and aura means magical power.." he said shoving himself back down to his feet. "Any chance I can have my blades back?" he said, referring to the pair of midnight blue, and silver metal blades in Val's pocket.
"It hurts?" She asked. She pulled the blades out of her pocket and set them down on the table next to Skye.
"Not as badly" said Skye picking up his blades one by one, examining each for damage before sheathing them. "Are bandits like that common around here?"
Val nodded as she went to grab some food. "They're mostly just arrogant travelers who think they can get away with everything because they save a lady once or kill a dragon." Her voice laced with venom with the last example. "Now that's out of the way I don't think I know your name." She said looking at him as she brought back some food from a cabinet. It was meat, cheese and crackers.
"Skye," said skye as he pulled back from the tall lady, "You?"
"Valerie." She said. "But you can can call me Val." She said. She sighed as she realized she had still not accomplished what she set out to do earlier. "What were you doing in the market place?" She asked.
"Wandering" said Skye, "And checking around for stuff a freind asked for, but mostly wandering."
She nodded and went to start up the forge. "You shouldn't wander in parts like that." She said as she blew some fire onto the coals making them hiss and crackle. "People there can be extremely greedy, selfish or racist." She said, almost snarling with the last one.
(I got to go. It might be a bit before I post again.)
(OK)
"Normally I can take care of myself" said Skye still fuming at the fact that those bandits had overpowered him. "That arrowhead blocked my powers, otherwise I would've had them easily."
Val chuckled. "A simple arrow head stopped you powers?" She asked.
