“Alice in wonderland.” He said, glancing around the shelves. He set Nathaniel down for a moment scanned through one of the top shelves

Nathaniel stood very close to V while the other searched for the book, not wanting to be away from him for a second. "Did you find it?"

“Hm? Not yet, it’s not really the classic, more of an adaptation.” He said, wrapping an arm around Nathaniel as he continued to search.

"Maybe you should ask the librarian?" He suggested, leaning into V. "I'm sure she'd know where it is."

he shook his head "I know where it is, I just don't know where they moved it to, plus I don't want to bother Zaya on her break." he glanced down at Nathaniel and picked him up, holding him in one hand while he searched the shelves.
(All i imagine is V holding Nathaniel higher like the lion king so he can search higher shelves…)

"I can help you look if you want, love." Nathaniel looked at the shelves, searching for the right title. "What color is the book?"

"brown with old writing on the front. I think the title is Alice Hatter Liddel?" he said, raising Nathaniel over his head so that he could see the top shelves. "anything up there?" he asked

"Um…" Nathaniel placed his hands on the shelf to steady himself, looking at the titles. "Here!" He grabbed the book and held it close to his chest.

V brought him back down and pressed him close to his chest, glancing at the book cover and grinning “yep that’s the one.”

Nathaniel grinned as well and kissed V sweetly before handing him the book.

He hummed softly and kissed Nathaniel back “always my savior, huh?” He smiled and hook nathaniel’s legs around hips. “Ready to go home?”

"Yep!" Nathaniel clung tightly to V while they walked, still grinning brightly.

“Careful with the wings darling.” He reminded softly, lips against his ear as they walked to the front to pay for the book

"Sorry, love." Nathaniel loosened his grip a bit and rested his head on V's shoulder.

V payed for the book and waved goodbye to Zaya, who giggled at the sight of the boys and waved goodbye.
“It’s alright love.” He kissed Nathaniel’s nose andleaned his head against his angel’s

Nathaniel wrapped his arms around V's neck, smiling softly. "I love you…" He murmured. "I love you so much…"

“I love you more my angel.” He murmured back, shifting Nathaniel to his side she he could get the keys. He opened the door and set down the book. After checking that everything was alright, V brought Nathaniel over to the bedroom and curled up beneath the covers with him

"Mmm… I doubt it, but I don't feel like having this argument right now." Nathaniel huddled close to V under the covers, smiling softly.

Nope, I love you more.” He kissed Nathaniel’s head and played with his hair. His other hand gently stroked his wings “I love you more than anyone else could.”

Nathaniel sighed, shaking his head a bit. "You couldn't possibly love me more than I love you. It physically hurts how much I love you."

“I’m not saying I love you more than you love me although it is true. I’m saying I love you more than anyone else on this earth or beyond could ever love anyone.”

"I feel the same, love… I cried for months when they kicked you out." Nathaniel said quietly, holding tighter to V as though he were afraid to let him go.

“I know, Urielle told me you ruined all his shirts with tear stains.” He pulled Nathaniel on told of him and wrapped him in blankets and his food wing “I’m sorry I caused so much pain.”

"Don't worry about it, love… at least you're here now." Nathaniel sighed, kissing V's cheek sweetly. "I don't want to be in that place again."

He nuzzled close and leaned into Nathaniel’s neck “no, we won’t my love.”
