"I don't know how to get back from here." Nathaniel said quietly, running his fingers through V's hair.
"I don't know how to get back from here." Nathaniel said quietly, running his fingers through V's hair.
Urielle sighed "okay, what if i bring you back first and then come back for V? that should work." he said, setting v down gently on a soft patch of grass. He muttered something uncomprehensionable, lightly nudging into nathaniel's hand before slipping back into unconciousness
"No, bring V back first. He needs to lie down at home. I'm… I'm fine…" Nathaniel sat down on the grass, his still bleeding wing dragging behind him limply.
"Don't lie, especially to me nathaniel. I know you're not okay." He ran a hand through his hair roughly "I'll bring V back first if that what you want. I'll be back in no more then five minutes." He promised, picking v back up and transporting them to the apartment
Nathaniel nodded and exhaled sharply when Urielle disappeared. He hid his face in his hands and finally allowed himself to sob freely. V was badly hurt, and it was all his fault… he'd tried to stop him, but he couldn't. There was nothing he could do, right? No, he could've done anything. Anything would've been better…
Ureille set V down in his bed, grabbing some extra blankets and a glass of water. after he made sure v was alright, he went back to get nathaniel, finding him crying near a few tree's "it's not your fault, nathaniel. V is impulsive and stuborn, but he knew what he was doing. He'll be fine after a few days of rest." he reassured, ligtly placing his hand on the other's shoulder and transporting them to the apartment
Nathaniel looked around and ran to the bedroom when he didn't see V in the living room. He crawled into the bed and carefully cuddled up against him, knowing they were both in pain.
V cracked his eyes open and slowly tilted head to nuzzle nathaniel's hair "hello my angel," he muttered weakly
urielle glanced uop from pouring more holy water and smiled happily
"W-Why did you do it?" Nathaniel asked tearfully. "You… y-you could've been killed…" He buried his face in V's chest, trembling.
V shut his eyes, not having the strenth to wrap his arms around nathaniel in a hug "because he hurt you. I wasn't going to let him hurt you again." he said, "he wasn't going to let either of you live, even if i went with him."
Nathaniel began crying softly. "B-But… he… I thought you'd gone forever…" He whispered. "I love you so, so much… and I… I c-can't live without you…"
He shook his head "No beautiful angel. I'll never leave you." he gently kissed the top of his head "I love you too much to leave you. I can't think about my life without you. I don't want to think about my life without you."
Nathaniel sobbed into V's chest, hugging him as tightly as he felt safe doing. "W-What happened to him?"
"sent him back to hell, took a lot out of me to excersize a demon without angelic abilities." He said, finding the strength to hold nathaniel in his arms.
"Is he stuck there permanently?" Nathaniel asked hopefully, rubbing at his teary eyes.
He shrugged, causing him to grit his teeth in pain "don't know, I hope so." he said, glancing up as urielle came over with two glasses of holy water "drink." he said
Nathaniel sipped the water carefully, not wanting to spill it, but also not wanting to move away from V.
V did the same and downed the whole cup "so is this an instantaneus thing or an over night thing?" he asked, slightly feeling a little better, at least enough to shift his good wing.
"a time thing Vaderian. you were never the patient one." Urielle said fondly "I leave you two alone." he shut the door and headed to the living room
"It's kinda funny how we only have one functioning wing between us." Nathaniel hummed, finishing his water.
V laughed softly and nodded "how are your wings? speaking of them." He glanced over Nathaniel's head to look at the latest injury
"The one your old buddy cut into still hurts a lot." Nathaniel looked back at the open wound, though it had luckily scabbed over by now. "I think it'll heal okay, though."
V flinched "I should've known." He muttered "you should've never been at that interview in the first place."
Nathaniel shrugged, wincing a bit as he did so. "It's not your fault. You couldn't have known."
He glanced down at him "but I should've." He said softly
"Why should you have?" Nathaniel raised an eyebrow. "You're holding yourself to an unreasonably high expectation, love."
