"Are…are you going to sleep here?" Bridge asked, leaning into his touch.
"Are…are you going to sleep here?" Bridge asked, leaning into his touch.
"Mm… maybe. It's not like we have anywhere to go yet."
"Okay," Bridge responded quietly, putting a hand up through Scipio's hair.
Scipio sighed softly and pulled Bridge into his lap, holding him tight.
Bridge leaned back against Scipio's chest, resting his head against his collarbone and shutting his eyes.
Scipio carefully lay back on the ground with Bridge in his arms, eventually falling asleep.
((skip?))
(Yep)
Bridge woke earlier this time, his eyes blinking open and then squinting quickly from the early morning sun. There was a cool breeze filtering through the entire scene, and the only noise that could be heard was the wind drifting through the trees.
Scipio was already watching the sunrise quietly. "Morning."
"Good morning," Bridge mumbled into Scipio's shoulder, sighing contentedly.
"Not like you to wake up this early." Scipio said softly, wrapping his arm around Bridge again.
"It…it was bright," Bridge responded with a small smile, leaning into his touch.
"Mm. Any ideas what to do today?" Scipio rubbed Bridge's shoulder with one hand.
Bridge shook his head softly. "I…not really. I've never been to Italy."
"Well, we already did biking… we could go swimming, I guess. If you know how to swim…" Scipio shrugged.
"Yeah, I…I know how to swim," Bridge responded, smiling a little.
"Alright, let's go swimming then. We have to return the bikes first." Scipio stood up and got onto his bike.
"Okay," Bridge said, standing and getting onto his bike before kicking off and riding after Scipio.
They rode the bikes back to where they'd gotten them and started walking to the beach. "The beaches in Italy are beautiful. You'll love it. It's early enough that we'll be alone as well."
"Oh." Bridge smiled a little, walking closer to Scipio. "That's…that's good."
Scipio nodded and led Bridge to the beach. As expected, there was no one here.
Bridge's eyes widened as the beach came into view. He had been to one before - once at night, the Maine kind of beach where it was rocky and sharp and the water was cold and choppy. But this was nothing like that.
Scipio started taking his shirt off. "Like it?" He looked out on the calm blue waters.
Bridge nodded, quickly sliding his own shirt off and laying it in the sand. "Yeah…I've been to one before, but…it's not like this."
