Hello! And yeah, mini templates sound good ^^ I think we both have a pretty good idea of what they're like though

name: Nicolas Wolfe
age: 15
brief background: His mother died when he was ten, and so he sort of became a second parent to his younger sister Jane, who is in middle school. He’s fiercely protective of her.
ok you want to start or shall i?
(It was Wolfe or something along those lines I believe lol)
And I'll start ^^
Cas walked into the school, immensely anxious. He already knew how poorly this was going to go. He couldn't even read for God's sake. Not to mention, he was incredibly short and knew he'd get bullied for it. He sighed and tightened his grip on his books as he walked.
(oh you're absolutely right!! wow i feel so dumb lollll)
Nick was talking to one of his friends, a kid he knew from his chemistry class, when he noticed an unfamiliar boy walk by. The kid looked tense, and almost angry. Nick frowned, catching the boy's eye before looking away.
Cas looked up for a second just to make brief eye contact with some tall stranger. Great… probably already planning how he's going to beat me up in gym… He sighed and looked back down at the floor as he tried to figure out where to go. He'd been given a schedule, but he couldn't read it, and therefore didn't know where his classes were.
Nick couldn't help but keep glancing at the guy. He seemed so lost, and Nick felt sorry for him. Maybe he should help? He gave a quick excuse to his friend, hoping this guy would accept his help, and walked over the stranger. "Need some help finding your classes?" he asked.
Cas jumped a bit, startled by Nick's sudden appearance. "I-I… um… don't know where these rooms are…" He said weakly, still staring hopelessly at his schedule. Maybe it'll make sense if I just look at it long enough…?
“Oh, you have first period and fourth period with me!” he said. “I can walk you there. Most of those classes are in the same hall. I’ll walk with you to first hour if you want, and it should be simple from there. The gym is on the other side of school.”
Cas nodded. "Er… alright, thanks." He trotted after Nick to keep up with him. Being short definitely had a lot of downsides. He still wasn't sure he could trust Nick, but he hadn't been punched yet…
(What if Nick's friends end up being dicks to Cas so Cas kinda holds a grudge against Nick despite Nick being nice to him?)
(ooh yeah i like that,, i was trying to think of something like that so i’m gonna use it)
“I’m Nick, by the way,” he added, leading the shorter boy to their shared first period. “What’s your name?” And why did you transfer in the middle of the year? he wanted to add but didn’t.
(Aight lol)
"My name's Cas…" He replied quietly, adjusting his grip on his books. He looked unhealthily thin from living on the streets, which his clothes highlighted simply by actually fitting him.
“Cool name,” Nick responded. “Here we are! Ms.Turner’s English class. She’s so annoying.”
Cas nodded. "If you say so." He followed Nick into the classroom and found an empty desk to sit at.
Nick’s friends came in soon after them, laughing amongst themselves. As class started, Nick realized that he had to pee and sheepishly asked to go the bathroom, and after an eye roll from the teacher, slipped out.
Jared, one of Nick’s friends, turned to the new kid. “Who are you?”
Cas winced at the newcomer's tone and looked up at the group of boys. "Um… my name is Cas." He said quietly. "I'm new here."
“Looks like someone took in the little stray,” remarked another boy, smirking.
“What is Cas short for, anyway?” asked the first kid. “Cast off? He looks like a reject from that book Oliver by Charles Dickens.” The words clearly weren’t intended for Cas to hear, but the boys weren’t exactly the quietest at talking.
Cas flushed a bit and looked down at his desk. He wanted to retaliate. He wanted to punch the boys. But he couldn't get into trouble on his first ever day of school. His foster parents would be furious.
