Luca leaned against the wall as he texted some of his friends about the upcoming party. After all, it was another chance for him to get a new partner and for Rachel to get someone for herself finally. He was just outside the campus entrance as he read the text thoroughly. He watched people exit and enter some after-school clubs and some because their dorm was on campus. Luca spotted Rachel and jogged over next to her. "Hey," he greeted. He looked at his best friend and tilted his head slightly. He nodded and texted that both he and Rachel would be at the party. Of course, Luca figured he should ask Rachel before dragging her to his friend's house on such short notice. He tucked his phone into his pock and combed back his hair with his hand. "So…there's this party coming up…You know Tre, right? Well, even if you don't, it's fine. So, it's at his house, and I wondered if you would like to go with me. Not like together, but like together. Get it? I know parties aren't your thing, but I think it will be fun for the both of us you know?"

She had just entered the campus with her camo backpack on her shoulder. she didn't bother to sling it over both shoulders as she would just have to take it off later for some reason. she was always alert. she braced herself when she saw Luca coming towards her and texting on his phone, she didn't expect something good. she was probably gonna get dragged off to another party that she didn't want to go to. she only went because he wanted her to go but she usually she got left alone while he hooked up with some new girl. she was getting tired of the cycle, but she would never tell him that. well, not exactly.
"Mhm, im sure it will be tons of fun Lu." she spoke while giving him her tired-faced look.
she had given him the nickname Lu when they had first met and it just kinda stuck through the years of them being best friends. she didnt expect to be best friends with him, but it had happened and now they hung out frequently.
"Sure you wont leave me again for some girl?"

"Yes! Awesome, I'll pick you up at 8." He pursed his lips together. Luca sucked in a breath before slowly shaking his head and releasing it. "I can't make any promises. The ladies in this school are beautiful. What can I say? The ladies want me, so I want the ladies. Don't worry; you're attractive too; you'll find someone." He stretched his arms over his head and rested them behind his head as they walked. "What's got you down? You look tired. Is it school beating you down again? You should get some sleep before the party, Rach." Luca was often worried about Rachel but learned not to pry too much about her life when meeting Rachel. What she decided to spend her time was her business, and he shouldn't ask about it, but he couldn't help but worry when Rachel looked the way she did. He's the type of person to think that if someone said they're okay, they really are okay.

She looked away a bit with a sigh as he talked about how gorgeous and beautiful all the girls of the school were. She couldn't help but feel bitter every time he mentioned that 'the ladies want him and he wants the ladies'
He's made mutiple comments on her finding someone and how she's attractive too but apparently not attractive enough for him to consider her.
Not that she cared…she was long over any feelings about him and now she just felt slightly better. She still didn't want to go on any dates with any guys even despite her not liking him anymore.
She looked back at him,
"look, it's nothing to worry about lu, I'm just..really tired. I didn't didn't a good sleep last night." She was only partially lying to Luca, she did have a bad sleep but there was plenty of reason to aid to her bad sleep that she had never told him. She never wanted to tell him to be honest. Last time he tried to prie into her life she snapped at him, and he didn't back off so she didn't speak to him for a couple days before he came and apologized. It was clear how much her past meant to her, and she didn't want it to be found out what it was. She would talk if she was ready to talk, or at least that was what she said. She probably would never tell him if she was being honest.
She didn't want him to worry so she hasn't said anything. It was nice enough just to have a friend by her side.

"If you say so." He bumped her shoulder playfully. "Cheer up, Rach. Maybe this party will get you in the state of mind you need to be in. Have some fun, drink a little, and maybe kiss someone a little." Luca teased. "Alright, since there are some things I have to do to get ready for the party. You, my friend, will be on your own from here on till 8. Where do you want me to pick you up? You seem to have a different place every time. I have to make sure I'm not picking up the wrong girl. Also…" He stopped in front of Rachel and held her shoulders. "Dress cute. You hold yourself back and look like you own the place because you do. You always do, okay? I will see you at eight, and don't be late." He warned.
