"Shh, shh, Latonise." Dali thought for a moment, mind panicked before he settled on something that you never heard in the front lines, a lullaby. It had been some time since he sang, only having done it at church for mami and around the house. He didn't know the common translation, so his native tongue would have to do. "Zantibal nsin, youmus li aminte. Balisen, mastintale. Homuin, homuin." He began, trying to remember the words.
(The translation is: skies tonight are stormy, but your eyes are bright. My heart don't fret, don't cry, don't cry.)
(I’m not sure if I should wait for Swim or go ahead and calm Mir down….)
(the sound of my heart breaking for Mir)
(I'm typing up a response real quick!)
(Dali is very rusty at dealing with crying people, but he used to calm down his younger cousins and his mami sang that song to him when it was storming outside and he was afraid)
(Random thing, but I just put frosting on toast and it's obvious that I have severly underestimated the extrent of my genius before this moment.)
(my mind immediately turns to fairy bread)
(I looked it up!! but frosting is better)
Corbin shot up in bed when he heard someone yelling. His eyes were wide, and for a moment he didn't know what was going on. He looked over at the two men, wincing some at Dragomir's reaction to being laid down. Had someone really… done something like that to him? It was disgusting. If he ever found out who had done it…
The king shifted on the bed, concerned for the two halflings. He stayed close to them, looking down at the frightened Dragomir. He hadn't expected Dali to start singing, but it made sense. He himself had no idea what it was, so he stayed silent for now, praying Dragomir would be okay.
Mir froze up at the song before slowly relaxing, tears dripping down his face as he calmed, his cries turning to sniffles as his body uncurled and he slowly woke up for real this time, panting heavily as he heard the lullaby and saw both of the other men hovering. He whimpered softly, “I’m sorry….”
(Nutella is best in my opinion)
When Dali saw that Mir was awake, he brought him into a hug. "It's okay, you were just having a bad dream, it happens to the best of us." He whispered, burying his face in the other's shoulder.
(Obviously the superior choice is butter and peanut butter on one, and cream cheese on the second piece, imao XD)
Corbin was hesitant at first, but he wrapped his arms around Dragomir as well. He didn't say a word, but he was just as concerned for Dragomir ad Dali was.
"There's nothing to be sorry for," he said softly.
(Nope! Chocolate will always be superior! Lol)
Mir snuggled into both of the hugs, sniffling and hiccuping as he tried to shove the nightmares out of his mind. “I wish I could stop waking people up with these stupid night terrors…. I feel awful….”
Dali just shook his head, keeping his face turned into Mir's shoulder. "You're okay. I don't mind as long as you're alright." He took deep breaths, trying to get Mir to unconsciously match his breathing.
(Me, fully aware that my brain is fried becuase I just watched a two hour long tik tok compliation with my horrible sense of humor: Ah yes, posting writing good, fact check to see if possible bad.)
(Also, I see your using the breathing technique, I’m so happy you used that!!)
(Bro yeah, whenever I panic I go launch myself at my dog to try and slow down my breathing)
(Oof, when I have a panic attack, I go for things to make me laugh to interrupt my downwards spiral. I don’t have my dog to cuddle anymore….)
(I just… kinda deal with them. I don't have many things I can do with the family I live with ;-;)
"It's okay, Dragomir. It's not your fault." Corbin spoke softly, one hand going to the halfing's head.
"You're okay…" The king hated to see the man in his arms so distraught, wanting to help calm him without knowing how.
Mir relaxed considerably when the king out a hand on his head, the hugs and that combined soothing him fully along with the soft words. He turned his head and nuzzled into the bigger man’s chest, relaxing as his eyes started to slip closed with his calm, but not sleep.
(Question, is Dali between them like a Dali sandwich?)
(I figured that or Mir in the middle lol either one is good)
(Lol, I'm just really bad at sparkle context clues sparkle I was just wondering becuase I was gonna do a Thing)
