Mir sighed. “We mostly just messed with them to take our minds off the fact that we had to kill people. I remember when I was first told my job and I refused. What that punishment was…” He paled a bit and shuddered, shaking his head and rubbing his arms some more. “I would never wish it on my worst enemy….” He sensed Corbin’s emotions and glanced up at him with a half-smile. “It’s okay Corbin… Very few actually die from the punishments. It’s mostly just a scare tactic to break the soldiers into submission. Or at least fake submission.” He pressed into the hand on his back finding comfort in it. He concentrated and tried to manipulate the other two’s moods into something lighter. “It’s done and over with now. Everything’s fine.”
Dali nodded and began to scoot out of the bed, leaning over to look for the brace he set down on the floor last night. "So, what's the plan for today?" He asked as he strapped on the wooden brace, sitting on the edge of the bed. He felt a bit awkward, but mostly just relief at not being as pissed and tired. Corbin seemed like a good person, so he was going to try and let his gaurd down a bit.
Corbin let out a soft sigh as he felt his emotions lighten some. They'd just woken up, this was no way to start the day. Still, he couldn't help but feel disturbed by the tactics, knowing that somewhere, someone else was going through them at this very moment.
"Well, the first thing we need to do is go down to the doctor's and get the painkillers, and see if you're new brace is in. Then of course, we'll need to get you both new clothes." Corbin moved to the side of the bed as well, humming some.
Mir nodded and crawled out of the bed, dangling his legs over the side before dropping to the floor with grace. Since Corbin was taller than both of them, the bed was also slightly higher. “I can’t wait to get some new clothes. These are about ready to tear.” As he leaned over in a stretch, his necklace dropped out of his shirt and dangled there, sparkling in the morning sunlight.
Dali looked down at his worn and kind of dirty clothes. "Yeah… I don't think any nobles would take to kindly to the king's concubine to be wearing a potato sack…." He muttered under his breath, trying to stand and managing to, with the help of a wall, of course.
Corbin stood in turn, stretching some. He glanced at each of the men in turn, humming some.
"Well, we could get your clothes first, if you both are okay with that. It's your choices, in the end."
Corbin couldn't help but look over to Dali again, offering his hand. The halfling wouldn't have a wall for support the entire way, after all.
“Health is more important than clothing. It’ll be easier to get clothes for us if we’re not in pain, and falling over in Dalimil’s case, so I’d say doctor first.” He stood up straight and fiddled with his necklace nervously as he looked at the other two, hoping he hadn’t been too assertive.
Corbin nodded some.
"That makes sense," he admitted. He didn't seem affected at all by Mir's assertiveness, offering a smile to the man. He himself see the merit in the motion, and had been thinking something along the same lines.
(How does “fiddled” get autocorrected to “cuddled”??)
Dali paused, debating whether or not to take the hand. You just cuddeled with him and have to live with him, get comfortable sooner rather than later! His brain helpfully reminded him, probing him to take the hand and stumble against the King. "Not really used to walking normally…" He weakly gave an excuse, smiling at Mir to show that he thought it was a good idea.
Corbin moved his second hand over to help Dali stabilize, holding the man a moment before they were able to stand together.
"I get it," the king said with a soft voice. He turned to look at both of them again.
"Shall we head down to the doctor's, then?" He kept one arm around Dali lightly for support, ready to head out.
Mir nodded and quickly hurried over to Dali’s other side, ready to support him from that side if necessary. He got his magic ready to ease emotions in case Dali got angry again.
Dali swallowed down the anger, neither of them deserved any of his anger. They pity you, they deserve your anger. His brain tried to scream at him, he clasped his eyes shut and took in a deep breath and took a hesitant step. "Alright. I'm ready to go."

(Shit. I only just realized in another board…. wants to start crying It’s because someone came back and bashed them for supposedly taking their idea… I was waiting for them to respond to another RP, and they don’t have any other means for contact…)
(Damnit. This is kinda serious, I saw in the LGBTQ chat what they were saying. I don't know what to think, I really like both of them, and I really don't want to lose contact with Cryptid ;-;)
(Honestly, even if Cryptid did take the idea, Reed had been long gone for quite a while if I’m correct, and I don’t think anyone should be harassed that badly for renewing an idea they liked seeing. I mean, half of these RPs are from other people’s ideas. Heck, THIS RP is from someone else’s idea!)
(Cryptid was accused of taking the idea of someone who had left the server for a while, and the person started accusing and bashing them for taking the idea.)
hmmm…. I mean, plagarism is pretty bad, but if the thing was under a deleted user she may not have known… I mean, Reed was one of the first people I met on this site and I know they sometimes restart their account..
(Also I looked on the LGTB+ chat and I saw what was written…
I don’t care if it WAS plagiarism. There is no excuse of harassing someone to the point they delete their account.
(Well, it wasn't just for taking the idea. Reed said that Cryptid took their pantheon, which is a lot more serious than just taking an idea, and I can totally understand why it would upset them. I mean if I caught anyone using my gods and claiming them as their own, I'd have a heart attack and be a lot more aggressive in my response than Reed was.)
(Still, I think there could have been better communication. I'm not sure what went on between the two directly, so I can't say much, but if it got this far then I say something went wrong on both ends…)
Fair… I mean, I'd be pretty mad if someone completely copied my wolf pack system..
(I don’t know… Honestly, this is a whole mess and I’m just upset that Cryptid was driven away like that.)
(I can’t say anything because personally, I’d be flattered if someone copied a system of mine, but I’m also very different in mindset than most writers I think…)
(I am too, Whisper. I just wish I'd been able to talk to both sides about the situation to know what had happened. I trust Reed to tell the truth, but I also know it'll be from their perspective only, and I really do want to know Cryptid's perspective…)
