Sterling’s POV:
I smirked a little and kissed her cheek before closing the door. “Anything for my mistress,” I murmured teasingly, then walked around to my side of the car.
Sterling’s POV:
I smirked a little and kissed her cheek before closing the door. “Anything for my mistress,” I murmured teasingly, then walked around to my side of the car.
Eden’s POV:
I covered my face again, heat leaking off of me. I could even sweat steam was coming out of my head like in those cartoons. This. This is why Sterling is dangerous. He does such little things to me and I turn into mush. I may have been a ruler once, but now I was just a puppy. A puppy. I was totally wrapped around his fingers.
I didn’t regret it.
Sterling’s POV:
“So… What do you think Lucas and Ashley wanted to talk to us about so badly?” I asked as I sat down, ignoring how flustered I seemed to have made my beautiful girlfriend.
Eden’s POV:
I peeled off my fingers from my face, chewing on my lower lip in thought.
“I don’t know,” I answered truthfully. “If it was really urgent, they would have called. Should I ring them up? We’re just a few minutes ride away from home, anyway.”
Sterling’s POV:
I shrugged and shot her a quick smile before backing out of my spot and heading down the road. “It’s up to you. They might have a reason for it, though.”
Eden’s POV:
I took out my phone and unlocked it, going through my contacts list. I didn’t have a lot of people, anyway, so it didn’t take long to find Lucas’s number.
“I’m calling them,” I said, tapping on the FaceTime option. “I want to know what they want.”
Sterling’s POV:
“Sounds good to me, babe,” I chuckled, continuing to keep my attention on driving.
Eden’s POV:
Lucas picked up almost immediately.
“Eden! You home?” His face popped up, excitement clear on his features. I raised an eyebrow.
“Hello to you, too, big brother,” I said sarcastically. “Why did you want us to call you? Where’s Lee? And no, we’re not home yet.”
Sterling’s POV:
I laughed and glanced over just in time to see Ashley pop up behind Lucas.
“Are they home? No? Gosh, Eden, we said to calm when you got home,” she sighed.
Eden’s POV:
“I would have, but I wanted to get this over with quickly,” I said, pretending to be annoyed by sighing.
“Don’t pretend you don’t want to talk to us, Eden,” Lucas cut in, frowning. “You miss us, don’t you?”
“I do not,” I shook my head. “I’ve long since replaced you.”
Sterling’s POV:
I laughed again at her words. “No one can replace your brother, Eden. I’m on a whole ‘nother level from him,” I declared, tossing her a wink.
Ashley raised her eyebrows at my statement and gave Eden a questioning look, which soon grew into a knowing smirk.
Eden’s POV:
I turned fifty shades of red, almost choking in surprise.
“That’s not what I meant!” I exclaimed at Ashley before glaring at Sterling. “Why did you automatically assume I replaced my brother with you?”
Sterling’s POV:
I shrugged and pulled into a parking space near our apartment. “Maybe because I’m one of the few people you hang out with? And you love me? And I don’t think Violeta or Gray has replaced him, either.”
(Have*)
Eden’s POV:
Lucas refused to look at me, pouting heavily. I almost smiled at the sight.
“Nobody can replace my brother,” I declared in a rather cheesy way, crossing my arms. “We’re half of the same whole.”
Lucas immediately turned to look at me, shock plastered on his face. He mouth slowly went open.
“You know what? I think this call is a dream,” he shook his head. “This is not Eden. Sterling, what did you do to my little sister? Where is my glaring, cold, aloof and heartless baby sis?”
(I think I’m actually correct… Maybe not, though…)
Sterling’s POV:
“Hm… I might have lured her out of her shell and brought out the sweet and kind Eden,” I said, sending her a quick wink. “Anyway, we’re about to be home, so should we call you when we get inside?”
(Wait, no, you used ‘or’, not ‘and.’ Sorry, my bad!)
Eden’s POV:
I scowled at Sterling. I was not kind. Or sweet.
“No, it’s fine,” Lucas responded. “I don’t think that’s necessary. Just stay on call.”
(Lol. That's what I thought. XD)
Sterling's POV:
I smirked back at Eden before turning to her twin and giving him a quick nod. "Sounds good. Shall we go, then, E?"
Eden’s POV:
I replied by removing the seatbelt and getting out of the car, setting my feet firmly to the floor.
I walked to the front of the house before frowning.
“Ry,” I called without turning back. “Did you order something?”
Sterling's POV:
I climbed out after her, giving her a curious glance. "No… Why? What is it?" I asked as I made my way forward.
Eden’s POV:
I looked at him finally before pointing at the package on our doorstep.
“That,” I nodded towards it before I furrowed my eyebrows, realization striking through me. I lifted the phone again. “Lee, Luke, what did you send?”
Sterling's POV:
Ashley giggled as I drew nearer and frowned down at the package in confusion. "Just a gift… You'll have to open it inside, though. And hurry! I'm getting impatient over here!" she laughed.
Eden’s POV:
So that’s why they wanted us to call. Because they sent us a surprise. Sighing, I turned to Sterling and shrugged. My keys were in my bag and I didn’t want to get them out, so I simply went ahead to pick up the package while waiting for Sterling to open the door.
Sterling's POV:
I gave the couple a weird look before sticking my keys in the door and opening it. I let Eden through first before I closed and locked the door behind myself, then nodded toward the living room.
"Shall we sit on the couch, babe?" I suggested, already making my way over after having taken my shoes off.
(Check your Pinterest PM!)
Eden’s POV:
I nodded, taking off my shoes and pushing them aside with my foot. I wiggled my toes, relieved to have taken the shoes off.
“Ugh, hurry up!” Lucas’s impatient voice cut through the silence I’d put up and I sighed.
Setting the package on the couch, I took a seat and turned to my brother and best friend.
“I suppose you want to see our reaction?” I questioned, already adjusting the camera so they could see. “Ry, can you open it up?”
(I did~!)
Sterling's POV:
"Sure," I agreed as I sat down beside her. I pulled a pocket life from… Well, from my pocket, of course… And I flipped it open before cutting through the tape. What in the world had they sent us?
