Sterling’s POV:

“Hm… Classes were pretty good today. I’ve got a test next week that I need to study for,” I answered, smiling down at her. “What about you?”

Eden’s POV:

“They were boring,” I answered, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. “I almost fell asleep.”

In reality, that happened before lunch. After lunch, I was very… much alert. I couldn’t sleep even if I wanted to. He’d left me in that state for too long.

Sterling’s POV:

I hummed and nodded my agreement. In all honesty, I hadn’t been paying much attention to my classes. I was too preoccupied by the girl who was currently walking by my side, her arms wrapped around my arm. I had stared off into space, just remembering the way she looked, the way she felt, the way she smelled… And then one of my classmates had noticed my obvious distraction and snapped me out of it, which was probably good because we were going over some very important things.

“Well, we’re heading home, now, so you can sleep all you want,” I said, smiling down at her with a soft chuckle. “Or not…”

Eden’s POV:

I scrunched my nose. I was definitely not sleeping, I knew that much.

This guy… why does he seem to get more attractive every time I see him? It wasn’t very good for my heart.

“I thought we were laying around together,” I reminded him pointedly. “Or doing other things along the line…”

Sterling’s POV:

I raised my eyebrows as my smile slowly turned into a smirk. That was the first time I had heard her suggest something like that, and it was pretty cute.

“We can do that… We can definitely do that,” I chuckled, glancing back up to see my car nearing.

Gosh, I wanted to kiss her right then. Press her up against the car and kiss the breath out of her. Kiss her so hard she forgets everything except for the way my lips feel on hers.

But I would wait. Because there were other things that I wanted to do that aren’t exactly considered decent to do in public. So I would simply wait until we were at home to kiss her breathless and weak in the knees.

Eden’s POV:

My cheeks flamed when I felt Sterling’s eyes bore into me. I could faintly see the smirk on his face and my heart hammered wildly in my chest, especially when I took notice of the wild hunger present in his eyes.

I shivered, already wanting him to pin me to something and kiss the life out of me. Already wanting him to do things to me that would make me unable to walk for days.

I chewed on my lower lip, feeling suddenly very shy as compared to the bravery I felt earlier when I made that comment.

“Ri—right,” I stammered, rubbing the back of my neck. “Definitely.”

Sterling’s POV:

I blinked my darkened eyes a few times, trying to get them back to normal. We could do this later. Right now, I had to drive. Plus, it was only a few minutes to our apartment…

“Mmhm… Definitely,” I repeated in a murmur as we approached my car. After unlocking it, I opened the passenger side door and gestured for Eden to get in. “My queen…”

Eden’s POV:

I smiled sweetly at him, sitting down in the seat, trying to ignore the heated look in his eyes.

“Why, thank you, my King,” I said with a slight purr. It wasn’t a good idea to tempt him right now, but really, could you blame me? Who wouldn’t if they had Sterling look at them like this?

Sterling’s POV:

I narrowed my eyes at her as she spoke in such a way that she knew it would get to me. After a moment of blatantly looking her over, I leaned in and brushed my lips across hers, just for a moment. If she was teasing me, then I was teasing her.

“You’re welcome, love,” I murmured as I closed the door with a small smirk, then made my way over to my seat.

Eden’s POV:

I froze as I felt the faint touch of his lips on mine for just a second, and then he left me in misery.

I deserved that for teasing him, I knew that and I understood it, but it wasn’t right for him to tease me like this. It was like a punishment.

I scowled, crossing my arms as Sterling joined me in the car.

Sterling’s POV:

As I got in, I glanced over at Eden and saw her pouting. I chuckled and stuck my keys in the ignition to start the car.

“What’s wrong, babe?” I asked, knowing full and well what it was.

Eden’s POV:

I shot him a heated glare.

“Funny, Sterling,” I rolled my eyes, crossing my legs tightly. “Now drive. I want to go home.”

Sterling’s POV:

I grinned, chuckling softly, and backed out of my parking space.

“Gladly… I want to get home just as much as you do,” I murmured.

Eden’s POV:

The ride back home was very… well, let’s just say it wasn’t a very ideal atmosphere. The need to having Sterling gnawed at my chest and prevented me from talking. All I could think about was Sterling’s hands all over me, teasing me, dominating me.

Before I knew it, we were already home. I touched my cheeks, finding them extremely warm, and I hoped it went past Sterling. It would be embarrassing if he caught me like this…

Sterling’s POV:

By the time we got home, I was a mess. And absolute mess…

I wanted to just take Eden right then and there, as soon as she walked through the door, but I didn’t. I wanted to wait, to calm down a little. I could feel my blood burning in my veins, the need for her coursing through me.

“Eden… Care to meet me in the bedroom?” I asked lowly, not even hiding my darkened gaze as I looked over at her.

Eden’s POV:

My heart stopped beating for a second before it began hammering wildly in my chest. Sterling looked at me hungrily like a predator would do to its pray. I suddenly felt like a small animal with a snake coiled around my body.

I swallowed thickly.

“Make me,” I found myself whispering defiantly, clutching my shirt tightly in my hands.

Sterling’s POV:

Oh, now I was done for… The look in her eyes matched my own, a burning, hungry desire.

Without a second thought, I had already crossed the room so I was standing right in front of her, placing my lips on hers. My hands found her waist and pulled her to me as I pushed her back until she gently hit the wall. I growled into the kiss, leaving her lips and trailing light, hungry, teasing kisses down her throat.

Eden's POV:

I gasped when he pushed me against the wall, kissing me all the way. I felt my knees buckle when he growled into my mouth, trailing his hot mouth down my throat.

"Sterling…" I murmured his name, my breathing getting heavier and heavier as I tangled my fingers in his hair. He was being gentle still, and I didn't think I could do with gentle. I didn't want him like this. Why was he still holding back? Even though he was kissing me with hunger, why was he still holding back?

I tugged him away from my neck, taking the opportunity to pull his mouth on mine again before I began trailing kisses down his jaw, trying to tempt him, tease him into losing control. I nipped at the skin, taking advantage of the little time I'd have in doing this to him.

Sterling’s POV:

I groaned as Eden’s lips met my jaw, feeling myself losing all control as she nipped at the skin. I tightened my hands around her waist and pressed harder against her. After moving away from her just enough that she couldn’t reach to tease me anymore, I bent back down and met her lips again in a hard kiss.

“You… are… killing me,” I murmured against her mouth.

Eden's POV:

I felt like I was on fire. My knees buckled from under me and I wrapped my legs around his waist in an attempt to keep myself from falling. I cried out his name, muffled words escaping my lips as he rendered me completely helpless.

"Please," I begged in his mouth, tugging on his shirt. "Sterling."
