Gray’s POV:
“I’m such an idiot,” I muttered, shoving my phone inside my pocket. “I completely forgot about Ari. She’s going to kill me.”
Gray’s POV:
“I’m such an idiot,” I muttered, shoving my phone inside my pocket. “I completely forgot about Ari. She’s going to kill me.”
“Ari? Who’s that?”
I suddenly recalled the phone call he’d received weeks ago, the one where his voice had changed completely to become soft and concerned. Was he referring to the same person?
Gray’s POV:
I stopped, suddenly realizing there was no way Violeta would know about Aria.
“My little sister,” I sighed. “She has a sleepover with her friend and I was supposed to pick her up today. I completely forgot.”
A furrow formed between my brows. If he was in college, why did he have to pick his little sister up, and not their adoptive parents? I hadn’t even known he had a sister until now… But it made sense that she would have been the one to call him that day.
“Oh, you should probably get her, then. Sorry for keeping you…”
Gray’s POV:
I reluctantly pulled away from Violeta before a thought struck me.
“You… want to come?” I asked her.
My eyes lit up almost instantly, though my need to stay in his presence surprised me. Although, I supposed I couldn’t blame myself….
“Can I really?” I asked, tugging on the sleeve of my hoodie. “Is that okay?”
Gray’s POV:
I loved the way her eyes brightened immediately, as if she didn’t want to part from me. My heart swelled intensely.
“Yeah, of course you can,” I pinched her on the nose. “I’m sure Ari would love to meet you.”
I scrunched my nose up, catching his wrist before he could pull it away and intertwining our fingers.
My own action caught me off guard. Since when was I this.. sappy? Since when was I this into Gray?
“That sounds great. You have a car?”
Gray’s POV:
I grinned when she grabbed my hand and linked our fingers together. I was right. Her hand did fit perfectly in mine.
When I registered her question, however, my smile dropped a little.
“I don’t,” he answered. “But I am saving up for one.”
I hastened to brighten his smile once more, guilt spiking through me at the realization that I'd made it dim. So, I brought his hand to my mouth and kissed its knuckles again, smiling bashfully up at him. "Cool. Let's get going?"
Gray’s POV:
I bent down and kissed her cheek, warmth returning my chest. God, what was this woman doing to me?
“Let’s go,” I said and we walked out.
It wasn’t a very long walk, but it was peaceful. Soon, we reached Ari’s friend’s place.
Aria was the exact copy of me, except it was our skin tone that made us different.
Aria opened the door, furrowing her eyebrows at Violeta.
“One, you’re late, brother,” she said without taking her eyes off of my girl. “Second, who’s that?”
“This is Violeta, Aria,” I introduced, ignoring her first statement. “Violeta, my little sister, Aria.”
I raised a hand and gave a little, albeit awkward, wave in greeting. "Nice to meet you, Aria," I said in the most friendly tone I could muster.
Gray’s POV:
Aria looked at Violeta for a while before her face warmed.
“Hi! It’s nice to meet you, too, Violeta,” she said excitedly before looking at me. “C’mon, let’s to. I already said bye to everyone, so let’s go.”
A relieved smile broke through my careful, polite expression; it seemed that she had taken to the idea of me arriving with her brother fairly well. I glanced up at Gray, awaiting his response.
Gray’s POV:
I nodded at Aria, relieved that she had taken a liking to Violeta. I’d never really introduced her to any girl (or guy, for that matter), so I was glad she took it nicely. Aria was a well behaved girl, after all.
“Let’s go,” I said to her, urging her to walk in front of us while I tightened my hold on Violeta’s hand.
(Do want to skip or…?)
(Sure, to when?
Oh, maybe Violeta could call Eden, panicking because she has no idea what to do in a relationship? But we also need to do something with Autumn’s character since she’s been reading a lot)
(That’s what I was thinking, except it wasn’t that scenario. XD I was thinking they’d meetup in school with Steed being extremely confused about the way Violay has been reacting with each their, but yours works, too!)
Yours is better because it includes everyone)
(Maybe we can do yours later!)
Sure!)
(:D)
(not it)
NOT IT
(OH COME ON)
(Fine)
