(D’you want to skip or stay?)
(Skip? I’m thinking we should have a bit of Gray and Sterling.)

So just you and Autumn or does V need to do anything?)
(Just a little me and Autumn, and then we can have V try to slowly convince Eden to try to see Sterling.)

(I might have to start tomorrow. Sorry. Lol. I’m with a bunch of other women at a meeting.)
dw about it!
(I might have to start tomorrow. Sorry. Lol. I’m with a bunch of other women at a meeting.)
(It’s all right! (:
Sterling’s POV:
It was about noon when I decided to take a walk. I thought it might help clear my head and get me back on track, so I cleaned myself up a bit. Glancing in the mirror one last time, I tore my hand through my hair and grabbed my things to step out the door.
I really hoped Eden would come back soon. If she didn’t, I don’t know what I would do. Thankfully, today was Sunday, so I wasn’t missing any of my classes, nor had I missed any yesterday.
Gray’s POV:
I was coming home from my shift when I caught sight of Sterling.
Normally, I would have continued on my way, but he looked… terrible, to say the least. He looked like he’d barely slept or ate. Before I could help myself, I walked over to him.
“Hey, man, what’s up?”
Sterling’s POV:
I blinked when I heard a voice directed toward me, turning to see Gray. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.
“I’ve had a rough couple days,” I answered vaguely with a shrug.
Gray’s POV:
I looked at his disheveled hair, the dark circles in his eyes and was able to conjure only one thing. He and Eden had what people like to call it, a ‘lover’s spat.’
“Things going rough with Eden?” I questioned, raising an eyebrow. “Hang in there, man. It’ll get better soon.”
Sterling’s POV:
I nodded slowly, taking a deep breath as I stuck my hands in my pockets.
“We got into an arguement,” I explained with a shrug. “Things were said that shouldn’t have been, and she left. I haven’t seen her or even talked to her since she walked out the door.”
Gray’s POV:
Ouch, that sounds extremely rough. I stuck my hands in my pockets before sighing. Fights between lovers were the worst.
“Well, she’s going to come back,” I said as gently as I could. “She loves you, right? She probably needs some time to herself. I doubt something like this will keep her away for that long.”
Something told me I knew where Eden was, but I wasn’t sure, so I didn’t say anything.
“In the meantime… have you been eating or sleeping well?
Sterling’s POV:
I blinked, and shook my head with a heavy sigh.
“Not really, no. It’s hard to sleep without her,” I explained, looking up and glancing past him. Maybe Eden would be around here somewhere… “And she was pretty ticked when she left… I’m not so sure she’ll want to come back.”
Gray’s POV:
I rubbed the back of my head.
“She’ll come back,” he repeated. “Just give her some time. Maybe you don’t see it, but the rest of us do. She’s different around other people, but it’s almost like she’s… free? Released? When she’s with you. I mean, it’s obvious since you’re dating, but I don’t see her react that way with anyone. She probably needs some time, but she’ll definitely come back to you.”
I fell silent before sighing again.
“But first of all, let’s get you something to eat. You look absolutely horrible.”
Sterling’s POV:
“Thanks. I feel horrible,” I managed to laugh. “I hope you’re right, though. I miss her terribly.”
Gray’s POV:
“Trust me,” I nodded at him. “She will.”
Eden’s POV:
I woke up with a start, panic filling me. I felt suffocated, like something was squeezing the life out of me.
“Sterl—“ I reached it to my side, only to find it empty.
Right. No Sterling.
I took deep breaths, trying to keep myself calm. I forced my tears at bay, trying not to break down crying. I missed him. I missed him so, so much.
I reached out for my phone, checking the time. It was five in the morning.
I’d barely slept an hour.
Shaking my head, I walked into the bathroom, taking a deep breath. I looked miserable. From my red, puffy eyes to the disheveled hair. I wanted Sterling. I couldn’t do this anymore.
I washed my face and walked out, grabbing my keys and my phone. I felt bad waking up Violeta, but I gently shook her.
“Violeta, I need to go,” I said to her quietly. “I… should go back. I think this is enough… I promise I’ll text you when I get home.”
(And I suppose we must wait for Topaz, now, huh?)
(And I suppose we must wait for Topaz, now, huh?)
(Yup.)
(Cool beans.)
(Can’t wait!)
(* o *)
I woke to the sound of someone talking. Trinity? No, she was over at her boyfriend’s.
Eden.
“Huh?” I mumbled sleepily. “Oh. Good luck.”
Eden’s POV:
That was all it took for me to dash out the door and to my car. I desperately wished Sterling was home, that he was okay and willing to forgive me.
I brought the engine to life, and after taking a deep breath to calm myself down, I drove.
And really, I drove like crazy.
When I got home, it took everything out of me to text Violeta I’d reached home.
I shakily got out of the car, locked it and stood in front of the door. I took out my keys, unlocked the door, and welcomed the darkness.
Tears brimmed my eyes as I stepped in and shut the door, looking around to find hints of life.
“Ster… Sterling?” I called out, my voice breaking, tears threatening to spill.
Please be here, Sterling…
