Alex grabbed her hand in his with a soft smile. “I am, as well.” He laughed.
Alex grabbed her hand in his with a soft smile. “I am, as well.” He laughed.
“Are you finished with the ice cream? Because I don’t think I can stuff anything more into my stomach,” Autumn laughed lightly, remembering their dinner and earlier dessert.
Alex scooped down the rest of the ice cream and licked his lips happily. “Yep, sure am.”
Autumn chuckled softly. “All right, then. Should we continue our walk?”
“Hmmm…” Alex looked back up at the fountains. “I’m not sure yet.”
“You’re not sure if we should continue our walk? What else will we do if we don’t?” Autumn wondered with a curious look.
Alex ignored her, still looking up at the fountains. Mon would want me to ask her now. Right here… Is she watching?
Autumn’s gaze softened as she looked at him. Reaching out a hand, she took his in her own and gave it a gentle squeeze.
“Babe? Is everything okay?” she asked softly.
Inhaling, Alex smiled back at her and nodded. “Yes, I’m fine. But…” He turned towards her, kneeling out of his chair.
“…I’d be better if you married me.” He beamed, opening the box.
(You shocked me as much as he did Autumn. Lol. I wasn’t actually expecting him to do it at that moment.)
Autumn blinked a couple of times, her mouth falling open. She brought her hand to cover her mouth as she stared down at Alex in utter surprise.
“Alex… Oh my gosh… Oh my gosh, of course,” she whispered, feeling tears pricking her eyes as she reached out her left hand to him.
(You said you wanted to go be shocked, yeah?)
Alex smiled wider, gently taking her hand and shifting the ring to it. He took her in a hug and kiss, pulling her close.
“I love you, you know.”
(Lol. Yes, so good job!)
Autumn grinned and kissed him back. “I know. I love you, too. Thank you for this,” she said, burying her face in his shoulder. “Gosh… I can’t believe we’re engaged, now…”
Alex leaned his head against hers, smiling wider at her reaction. “I know. You’re welcome. I feel like it’s long overdue but… I dunno.”
“It’s perfect,” Autumn breathed, her arms tightening around him. “I can’t wait to tell everyone!”
“Everyone?” Alex repeated softly, tightening his grip on her in return. “Who is everyone?”
“Well, Jilly, first of all. My sister… Probably your band,” Autumn said with a shrug. “I don’t know. Just anyone we want to tell.”
Alex nodded, sighing in relief. “Good. I thought it was gonna be like… I… I’m not sure, actually.” He laughed.
Autumn chuckled softly. “Oh… Should Sophie and Exander be engaged, too?” she wondered, remembering their alter egos.
Alex chewed on his lip in thought. “That would be great,” He said with a smile.
“Imagine the media. They’d go wild,” Autumn chuckled.
Alex chuckled with her. “And all we need is more popularity.”
“Pfft. Hardly. We’re both popular enough that they’d be all over it,” Autumn said, grinning. “It’ll be the talk of the celebrity world.”
Alex sighed softly. “Yes we would. I don’t know how I feel about that just yet.”
Autumn smiled up at him softly. “We’ll be fine. Just as long as no one figures out who we really are.”
Alex smiled back down at her, pecking her gently. “Right. Kim glad you have such confidence.”
