Alex blinked. He wasn’t sure if he liked the sound of that or not.
“Er… sure, I guess.”

"Great," MJ said with a nod, pulling a business card from his wallet. "This has their number on it. Just tell them that MJ sent you."

Alex took the card. “A-alright, thank you, sir.” Alex gave the other a respectful grin before digging into his dog.

MJ chuckled under his breath a bit before finishing his food. Autumn had already finished her hotdog and was watching the two interact with a guarded expression.

Alex ate the rest of his hotdog carefully, in case he scarfed it. He kept his gaze on the table, holding the card in his hand.
He doesn’t like me? Is that the deal?

"And, hey, if you ever need a manager, call me," MJ said with a smile.

Alex glanced up hastily when he heard MJ talk. “Oh, yeah, I will!” He smiled back.

"Wonderful, wonderful," MJ said with a nod.

Alex shoved the rest of his dog gentlemanly in his mouth and took a swig of his drink.
“Well, it was great to meet you!” He exclaimed as he swallowed the mouthful.

"You as well, Mr. Langton," MJ agreed with a grin as he stood.

Alex hastily stood up himself. “Have a nice rest of your day.” He respectfully bowed.

"You as well. Treat this young lady nicely, all right?" MJ murmured the last part under his breath.

Alex glanced at MJ. He grinned and gave a slight nod. “You know I will.”

"Good," MJ murmured back with a smile.

"What are you guys gossiping about over there?" Autumn asked teasingly as she stood.

Alex looked at Autumn. “Nothing. We were just talking about guy-stuff.”

Autumn snorted. "Uh-huh. Okay. Anyway, it was good to see you, MJ. Il be in tomorrow around nine, okay?"

"It was good to see you, as well. I look forward to our meeting," her manager said with a smile and a single nod. "And I look forward to working with you, Mr. Langton."

Alex blinked. I thought he didn’t want to work with me?
“Y-yeah! I hope to work with you soon, too!”

"I have another meeting to get to now, so I will see you both later," MJ said with a polite nod as he left.

Alex nodded back and looked at Autumn. “Well… that was…”

Autumn chuckled. "You'll get used to him."

Alex beamed. “I like him. Do you think he likes me?”

"He probably does. He just pretends to be so serious," Autumn said with a smile.

Alex beamed. “He’s a great guy. He sounds great to work with.”

"He is. Trust me you will like working with him," Autumn said.

Alex nodded. “I’m really exited! I wanna call this guy, though.” He pointed to the card in his hand.
