Alex sassed her, cocking his hips to the side. “Aren’t you gonna ask?”
Alex sassed her, cocking his hips to the side. “Aren’t you gonna ask?”
"I'll ask when you apologize for waking me up so rudely," Autumn said, still glaring daggers at him.
Alex giggled. “I told you I’d wake you up for food. So I did!”
"Had I known you were going to do that, I wouldn't have fallen asleep," Autumn grumbled, reaching for the bag.
(Is Notebook being slow for you, too?)
(Yyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeep!)
Alex giggled more and handed over the bag. “I have different means of waking people up.”
(sighs Must. Be. Patient.)
"Could you just do it normally next time?" Autumn asked, taking the bag to the table and sitting down with it.
Alex plopped down next to her. “Nope. I’m gonna do it the Alex-way.”
"Maybe I shouldn't spend the week here, then," Autumn muttered under her breath, still upset about being awoken that way and falling off the couch. She opened the bag and found her tacos, then handed the rest to Alex.
Alex frowned a little and accepted his food with a quiet sigh. He grabbed a plastic fork and crossed his legs on the couch, taking the lid off of his food and started to eat.
Autumn picked at her food and glared at it, mulling over her ticked-off thoughts. She ate barely any of it for a while, then got hungrier and ate more and faster.
Alex scraped off the sauce from his chipotle steak and started on his order of nachos and queso.
He doesn't even think he did anything wrong, does he? He probably just thinks I'm overreacting.
Autumn let out a silent huff as she continued to eat her steak tacos.
Alex unknowingly was being a clueless bean. He knew he did something wrong, but he thought Autumn just shrugged it off, and was being grumpy about being woken up.
Autumn was pretty ticked. Her cheeks were tinted red, and not because she was flustered. Her mouth was set in a tight-lipped line, and she stared down at the taco in her hands.
(I don’t wanna be that guy but
Who would get that mad???)
Alex nibbled on a nacho quietly. He decided not to spare a glance to Autumn.
(She's mostly upset that he hasn't apologized for it. She looks madder than she is.)
Autumn sighed and set her taco down before standing. "I'll be right back. I'm going to go to the bathroom."
Alex had the decency to keep his head down. He nodded a little, finishing the nacho he was nibbling.
Wonderful start to the evening. Way to go, me!
Autumn made her way to the bathroom, where she shut the door behind herself. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and sighed, then turned the water on.
After splashing her face a couple of times, she turned the water off and looked for a towel.
Calm down. He was just messing with you. It's not that big of a deal. Just… calm down…
Alex sighed into a nacho and set it down. Now she’s going to leave, and you won’t see her for another few months. Or longer. God knows what she’ll get into then.
After finding a towel, Autumn dried her face and shook herself out. She took a deep breath and headed back out to sit on the couch with Alex.
"Sorry about that," she murmured, not looking at him.
Alex sighed and shook his head. “It’s not your fault. I should be the one apologizing.”
"No, you were just trying to be funny. I got way more upset than I should've," Autumn pressed, looking up at him.
(Sorry! My internet cut out!)
Alex sighed. “I could’ve just poked you awake or something.” He raised his gaze, his eyes serious. “I’m sorry.”
(It's fine!)
Autumn kissed him quickly and pulled away.
"It's fine," she assured him.
Alex grinned a little. “If you’re sure. Your nachos are in there.” He pointed to the bag.
