(Actually, I may not be on much during summer either, so it checks out. We'll talk again in the fall!)
Amory nodded at the explaination, but then his eyebrows shot up at the last comment. "How do you connect a country of romance with me of all people?" He snorted a bit in amusment before continuing, "I think of myself to be more of a…. Hmm, Greenland." He reached over and set a hand on Sorrel's leg. "You on the other hand, make me think of Germany in the summer."
( Of course! I'll make a little note not to forget you during then! I have a bad memory so that'll be my best bet! )
"You're so built up on things, and you're full of mysteries, y-you know." He said. Hell, why'd the stuttering have to come back? "Why Germany, and why summer, though..?" Sorrel asked. He forced another stutter to keep itself silenced. "Is it something about warmth, or something more?" He wondered, aloud.
(lol, I'll probably do the same.)
Amory rubbed Sorrel's leg briefly before pulling his hand away. "Germany is a beautiful country, and in the summer, there's lots of greenery, and there's excitement in the markets and all the festivals during the summer. It's like you. Upbeat, exciting, and yes, warm. Inviting."
Sorrel noticed the hand even more as it moved, and it made him feel the butterflies in his tummy, as if they had been set free. He jolted his view to the window, and tried not to pay attention to it. He'd begun to blush way too much. "Well, I'll only be that way for you, then. I'll refuse to let anyone else into Germany, for you." He said, figuratively. He laughed, a little bit, before letting a big smile grow on his face.
Amory smirked and let out in a purring tone, "I'm going to make sure you don't want to let anyone else into "Germany"…~" He let out a quick sigh to himself and was now pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant.
Sorrel perked up, and turned to Amory. Oh, you'd bet this guy's eyes were wide. "That sounds really, really exciting. I uh, oh, we're here!" He rambled. Amory really succeeded at getting under his skin in all of the right places. "Mmmm." He said, imagining the food he'd eat. He tried to keep himself distracted.
"I should hope it sounds exciting. Else I would question why you're going on a date with me…" Amory parked and promptly was out of the car and opening Sorrel's door for him. He held a hand out to help the other out. He was the perfect image of a gentleman.
"Well, of course I'm going with you. You're annoying, we have to discuss your problems and how we can fix them." Sorrel said. Honestly he wasn't too sure if Amory really was annoying, but he wanted to let a few things be known. He took Amory's hand and gracefully got out. Heck, his hand was lotioned up just for the occasion.
Amory quirked an eyebrow and leaned over to briefly kiss Sorrel's surprisingly soft hand. "Very well. Might as well get a good dinner out of this. Perhaps, though, the problem may not lie with me…~" Then he straightened and shut the door behind Sorrel and lay a hand on the small of the other's back, guiding him into the restaurant, quickly getting the hostess to give them a table more quickly and in a private spot, by a little harmless flirting and… money may have changed hands…. 'Worth it for this though…' he thought to himself as he pulled out a chair at their table for Sorrel.
( So sorry I missed this! I'll do better to be more responsible. )
Sorrel blushed softly at the kiss to his hand. He noticed the soft, seductive tone that Amory kept, and honestly it gave him all the more reason to bite his lip. "Maybe so," He replied, following Amory inside. He glanced around the place, noticing all of the people, then he noticed that they were already heading towards a table. As he saw that Amory pulled his chair out, he gracefully say. "What a gentleman," He said, with a complimenting vibe. "You're so gracious for bestowing yourself upon my presence tonight." He added, with a sharper resonance. What was he doing, being like this?
( Also probably going to respond again an hour from now, school things. Got a test in some minutes. )
(Oh don't worry about it! Just wanted to make sure it showed up on your unread indicator. I'm on until for another hour and 45 minutes, then I'll be gone. Good luck on your test!)
Amory quirked an eyebrow and pushed Sorrel's chair in before sitting down himself. "From what you keep claiming, I almost think it would have been more gracious for me to ditch you, if my presence is so unappealing…." He glanced up as a waitress came to ask what they would both like to drink. He requested a glass of red wine and a glass of diet cola for himself. He turned to Sorrel to see what he would order. 'This man is frustrating…. What is so bad about me? I've had too many other people, men and women alike falling all over themselves to try and get me for themselves. I always hated it and it's rather refreshing to have someone do otherwise, but when I'm constantly being insulted… It's a bit upsetting….'
( Thanks! I might have passed it! )
Sorrel looked towards the waitress, asking simply for a champagne. He finished up with his drink order, and assumingly the waitress left to get the two their beverages. He looked towards Amory, after hearing his comment. "It's not unappealing." Sorrel admitted. He sighed, dropping his head into his hands. He tapped his pastel pink cheeks with his fingertips. "It's just too perfect, though I hate to admit it." He continued, with a frustrated expression. "I don't know how to explain it, because if I did, you'd just make three times better sense of it than I could." He finished. He looked up and reflected something like pity, for himself.
Amory leaned a little closer over the table, propping his chin in his own hand. "How on earth am I perfect? The only picture of perfection here is you. Anyways, if I'm so annoying, why didn't you just fire me from the company? That would've easily rid you of my "distractions"." His eyes roamed Sorrel's face, looking almost hungry.
Sorrel's face began to slowly warm up, heck, that guy was the one with a problem. "I wanted to keep you around. You're always such a great person to have around, and you're always right where I need you." He replied. He leaned a little bit closer to Amory, taking in his scent. "I can't fire my favorite employee." He said, softly.
Amory quirked an eyebrow. "Isn't favoritism illegal in the work-force?" he teased. "Anyway, we need to figure out how I'm supposed to distract you less, aren't we? So tell me what you think I should do?"
Sorrel laughed at the words. He honestly thought the by-laws of becoming an employer were that 'skippable' reading section, so he really might be right. "Maybe make a few more mistakes. Your work is always so neat and correct, just do things wrong for a change." He thought, aloud. "Or maybe you could stir up some office troubles with me, haha. I could get you a nice promotion and you could have almost my authority," He rambled. He diverted his eyes from Amory to the side, and played with a little strand of his hair.
Amory smirked. "Stir up office troubles with you, hmmm? Well, I'm not going to cause my work to be less than perfect, so I suppose I'd take you up on that. Though, our ideas of "office trouble" may be… very different~…" he licked his lips because they were feeling a bit dry. He quite liked how cute Sorrel looked when he played with his hair. He let out a soft growl deep in his throat, but not very loud so Sorrel may not have heard. He always growled when he was frustrated.
"What would your idea of trouble be then, Amory?" Sorrel asked him, noticing how he licked his lip. "B-Because I'd love to hear it." He added, almost as if he was gasping. Amory was really in his head right now, he was going to be trapped there. Sorrel hoped he'd never have to leave the other. He pulled his hair to the front of his face as he felt his cheeks burning.
Amory shook his head. "Nothing appropriate between an employee and his boss. That's all I'll tell you." He leaned back as the waitress came back with their drinks and some breadsticks. Then she handed them the menus and told them she'd be back in a bit to take their orders. Amory turned back to Sorrel after she left. "Though, I must say, if someone looked at us right now, I think we both know how'd they'd pin the dominance rankings….~"
Sorrel peered through the pale strands of his hair. "I-I'm sure they'd know. It just so happens that we might be on the same page, and heck I'll have you know that it's already much less distracting." Sorrel muttered. He gently picked up his champagne glass, taking an effortless sip of the stuff. "Mmm" He purred.
Amory took a sip of his coke, leaving the wine alone for now. He watched Sorrel take a sip. "Is the champagne good?" He looked like he wanted to ask a different question though. He ran his fingers through his hair, some of it had fallen in his face. He could have gelled it, but he hated gelling his hair.
(I gtg. BYE!!!!! {Also, Sorrel is ADORABLE!!!! Aaahhhh!!!!!1!!!})
( Oh my gosh but Amory's such a baby too :-:<3 Also byebye! See you sometime! )
Sorrel glanced at Amory's stray hair, and suddenly had the urge to touch them. He tried resisting it, though it was evident that his efforts weren't very good at staying hidden. "Of course it is," He said. He somewhat squinted at Amory, as if to see something deeper in his mind, but failed overall.
Amory hummed softly. "You look like you want something. Care to tell?" He leaned closer again, his eyes lazy. He liked this. He had worried that Sorrel might be stiff and overly formal but this was actually nice…. He was enjoying this.
