(Same! Totally understand! Do whatcha gotta do!)
Diara moved the knife carelessly back and forth. Moxiey could hardly breathe. "Get it for me."
(oh shit oh shit shit sorry!!!!!!)
(It's totally fine!! XD No worries.)
(sorry again)
"Why can't you get it yourself?" He asked, not wanting to leave Moxiey alone.
(It is fine!)
"Why do you think? Stupid humans… Honestly, Moxiey, you're too good for him," Diara sighed. "Just get me the stone and I will let her go. If not…" Moxiey gasped quietly as the knife dug even deeper and a thin stream of blood was released into the water.
Grayson stood still for a minute before swimming up to the surface and retrieving the rock, diving back into the water.
Diara grinned wickedly. "Come and give it to me," she demanded.
Moxiey managed a few words. "Grayson… don't… please…"
"Shut up!" Diara ordered.
Grayson slowly swam towards her, reaching out for Moxiey and holding the rock in his other hand.
"Don't!" Moxiey cried, a small burst of blood coming from the blade.
"Quiet!" Diara demanded.
"I'm sorry Moxiey. I have to.." He said, reaching out and grabbing her hand.
Diara released Moxiey and grabbed the stone. "Ha! The key is mine!" she cried and swam away quickly.
"No!" Moxiey cried, swimming after her.
"Moxiey you're hurt." He grabbed her hand, keeping her from chasing Diara.
"What are you doing?" she asked, trying to pull herself out of his grip frantically. "We can't let her get away!"
“Moxiey your neck..I can’t let you chase after her again.”
She stopped resisting and turned to face him. "You moron," she whispered, only half-playful, through heartfelt tears, giving him a hug. "Why would you do that?"
“Do What?” He asked, hugging her back.
"Give up the key."
“But She was hurting you.” He said like it was an obvious answer.
"She said that I'm too good for you, but I think it's the other way around. Grayson, you don't deserve to be dragged into any of this…" She trailed off because it hurt to talk.
Grayson glanced at her neck worriedly. “C’min, mom taking you to the surface to get this taken care of.” He said, grabbing her hand and starting to pull her up.
"No!" she cried with what she had left of her voice.
“Yes.” Grayson answered sternly. “This is a serious injury Moxiey and I don’t think you want to lose your voice.” He said as they appeared at the surface of the water.
"I don't care!" she choked.
