Grayson sighed and squeezed her hand. "Fine..just…try not to get hurt.."
Grayson sighed and squeezed her hand. "Fine..just…try not to get hurt.."
“I’ll try,” she said with a light smile.
"Okay..where should we look first?"
“The castle. She’ll have gone there first,” Moxiey suggested.
"Let's go then." He said, taking her hand and swimming towards the castle.
Moxiey knew she could swim faster than he could so he could feel safer about letting her come.
Grayson held tight to her hand as they swam, a small part of him hoping they wouldn't find Diara.
Moxiey kicked and sent herself shooting off to the side to hide behind a rock, dragging Grayson with her. “Is that her?” Moxiey asked, gripping the rock tightly.
"I..maybe.." He said, squinting slightly.
Moxiey looked over at him and kissed him quickly on the lips. She murmured, "I love you," into his mouth and, before he could do anything, swam out from behind the rocks and right for Diara.
"Diara, stop!" she yelled. There was no going back now.
Diara turned around with a smirk on her face. "Hello, Moxiey. We meet again."
"What do you want?"
"You know very well what I want."
Grayson reached out but only caught water. He swam forward, trying to reach her before Diara got to her.
Moxiey stiffened.
"And it seems that you're holding it," Diara said. She caught Grayson out of the corner of her eye and snapped her fingers. Her tiger shark darted out and slammed into Grayson to pin him against the rock he'd just been hiding against. "Oh, this is too easy. Now. Give me the key, Lexter will let your boyfriend go, and we can go our separate ways."
Grayson gasped and winced as the rock cut into his back. "Don't do it Moxiey." He shook his head.
Moxiey looked over at Grayson, then back at Diara. It was obvious from her face that she was struggling.
"Don't. Do. It." Grayson repeated. "I'll be fine.." He said, not entirely believing the last part.
"Give it to me or I'll kill him," Diara snarled, giving Lexter some kind of signal. He bared his teeth and pushed Grayson harder.
"No!" Moxiey yelled.
"Yes." Grayson said, struggling to break free.
Moxiey lowered her head in shame and swam forward, towards Diara. The sea witch grinned.
"No! Moxiey stop!" Grayson yelled desperately.
Tears filled her eyes. She shook her head. "Grayson, I told you that I would never forgive myself if you got hurt and I could have prevented it. I meant it."
"And if you give it to her, this will be your life! I want you to be happy and safe, not always in constant danger.."
"Don't you think I want the same for you? I'd rather you live safely than die!"
"If you do this we won't be safe." He said angrily.
Diara sighed. "Make up your miiiiiind," she sang, giving Lexter another sign. He pressed even harder against the human's ribs.
"Please!" Moxiey begged. "Please stop!"
"Oh, love is pathetic. Give me the key and he can go."
Grayson whimpered in pain before looking back up at Moxiey and shaking his head a little.
