She couldn't stop giggling. "Well. He seemed friendly."
She couldn't stop giggling. "Well. He seemed friendly."
Dorian snorted, walking to the bed and flopping down face down and groaning, "Sure."
She rolled her eyes with a smile and ran her fingers through his hair. "Relax honey, at least it was only him."
"Hmmm…" He relaxed under her touches, "Fair, you're right."
She gently trailed her fingers down his back where red scratch marks from her nails seemed to almost glow in the light. "It could've been worse. Like your sisters or, probably worst of all, your own father."
Dorian shivered slightly under her touch, “I’d rather deal with my father over Edward,”
"Oh come on, he can't be that bad." She giggled, rolling her eyes.
He lifted his head ever so slighlty, “You’re right, they’re both as bad as each other.”
She sighed dramatically. "And they call me the pessimist." She couldn't help but smile.
Dorian huffed, lowering his head again, "It's not pessimistic if it's the truth."
"Whatever you say love." She chuckled, rolling her eyes with a smile.
Dorian grumbled something under his breath, voice muffled by the bed.
She raised an eyebrow at him with a smile. "What was that? I didn't quite hear you."
"Doesn't matter…" He said a little louder, rolling onto his side and wrapping an arm around her middle.
She giggled softly. "Again, whatever you say love."
Dorian nuzzled into her side, drawing soft circles onto the part of skin he could reach.
"I love you." She mumbled under her breath. It was rare she ever said it but she definitely meant it.
Dorian heard, just, but he did, “What was that, sunshine?” He asked, a teasing grin on his face.
She blushed brightly and looked away. "Nothing, nothing, nevermind."
“No no, please, I want to know what you said now.” He looked up at her.
She waved him off, her blush brightening. "No really, it was nothing. I shouldn't have said anything at all."
Dorian snorted in disbelief, “Mhm, sure sunshine, sure.”
She sighed quietly, lacing her hands together. "I love you." She said it a little louder this time, enough for him to hear clearly.
Dorian grinned, moving up to kiss her on the cheek, “I love you too.”
She smiled shyly at him before training her eyes on the floor once again.
