Peggy hummed along to an Elton John song blaring from a speaker in her lab as she slid her chair from one desk to another to grab things. She'd been inside all day, working on some updates to her suit. In all honesty, she probably should at least get up to stretch her legs, but she was in work mode now. Nothing short of death was going to make her stop, at this point.
Klaus was sprawled out on a table as Tony Stark ran scan after scan on his body. This had been going on for almost an hour, yet Mr. Stark seemed to get more and more data.
"Hm. There's nothing in your body that says you should've survived that fall. Like, you should be dead."
"Well, gee, that's a great thought, Mr. Stark."
"What? It's the truth. That symbiote is remarkable, however. It is what kept you alive."
"I know, Mr. Stark. It's the 5th time you've told me this."
Jaz hung from the ceiling, curly brown hair framing her face. She stared at Klaus, trying to make sense of him. "Look, Klaus," She started. "You seem like a cool guy. Other than being the kid of a murderous crazy guy. But as long as your symbiote doesn't attack me and try to take over my body like it did my dad, we're cool."
"It wasn't my symbiote, damnit. Mine is the grandson of that one, and it's very content with it's current owner."
He stuck his tongue out at her.
"Would you two chill?" Peggy called over her music, crashing into one of her tables with an oof. She pushed away from it, a screwdriver now in hand as she went back to her suit.
"That's really not what I'm saying," She replied, dropping down. She attached webbing to the ceiling and hung from it like it was a swing. "All symbiotes can do that, it's literally what they're made to do."
"You don't understand the emotional attachment that forms whenever you gain a symbiote. Your father was cut from a different cloth to be able to split from it like that. Especially from one that wanted to stay with the owner so bad," he explained the best he could.
"I still don't buy it. That affected him. I don't want that happening to me." She shot a text to her dad. "You seem cool, but that doesn't mean I'm not keeping my eye on you."
