Vincent couldn't help but squeeze his glass tighter. Did he really just hear that? Out of all the bullcrap he hears from soldiers and other business partners, this has outdone it. His mouth gaped open while his head turned to the right out of confusion. "Oh Madone; it's not just me, but you agreed to this too. Right?", he sighed,"Don't tell that to my mother or she'll grab a gun."
"I didn't have a choice" she muttered " I'm sorry I'm being really depressing I don't mean to be but being in a mafia you don't have alot to talk about" she said
"Cheryl, being in the mafia means that words are no use to anything; actions are. That's why some of us do things that you cannot imagine. You can still be pure but make the biggest scenes ever, even if Daddy over there is going to raise his hand at you.", Vincent insisted,"And let me show you, how it all gets started." He threw his head back finishing his champagne. Giving her a smirk, Vincent slammed the glass on the floor, grabbed Cheryl's wrist, and went outside dragging her along.
She had to fast walk to keep up with him but didn't pull away "What are we doing?" She asked him with a small smile on her face as the slight breeze blew hair in her ways
"Getting out of that boring event and going somewhere else.", he explained,"Anything is better than that ball." For a second, he stopped walking trying to locate the black van. Thankfully Ameri, the driver, was easy to spot using the lights inside to read. Vincent chuckled as he rushed over still holding onto Cheryl's wrist. He slammed his fist on the hood of the car, scaring the driver who immediately opened the car. Letting go of her, Vincent opened the door to the passenger seat.
Cheryl looked at the and once she got a nod she got in the black van that kinda reminded her of those vans that little kids got in because someone offered them a lollipop and as much as Cheryl loved lollipops she wouldn't get in a car offering them but then again she had just jumped in this van with the mafia king
Vincent turned to look inside at the gala again. Smirking, he rolled his eyes before getting in the car. He leaned over to whisper something to the drive. Receiving a nod, he rested back in the car seat. The driver looked back at him waiting for the go-ahead. "Wanna grab something to eat?", he asked turning to his fiancee.
" I feel like your going to drag me out to the woods and kill me but sure!" She said with a smile looking at Vincent
He couldn't help but chuckle a little in response. "No I wouldn't do that.", Vincent reassured,"I make the soldiers and associates do those things, a waste of time for me." The driver looked back at him through the top mirror. The boss laughed a bit again then lightly flicked his wrist. "Ameri, please take us to that one place downtown then we'll go to the other place."
"That's very descriptive" she teased her fiance with a giggle Cheryl never giggled buy here she was smiling and giggling
Vincent rolled his eyes out of natural instinct as he crossed his arms. The initial stone-like expression from a while ago began to ware away. Hearing Cheryl laugh wasn't really something he'd expect, it caught his attention in a heartbeat. It sort of left him confused too, he had no clue why his cheeks were feeling warm. "Oh he already knows what I mean. I am a very descriptive person after all.", he winked.
" yes yes of course you are I'm talking to the mafia king after all" she said " you have to be very descriptive in your orders to make sure no one screws anything up" she said
"Well that is very true actually; I do not like being vague at all.", he added,"And if anyone screws anything up, I'm the last one they'll ever see."
Cheryl's eyes widened slightly, but only for a moment " well hopefully I don't screw up a being a wife or a fiance" Cheryl told him
Her response piqued his attention. Probably wasn't the best thing to tell a fiancee. Vincent patted her on the shoulder. "Look, I didn't mean that towards you.", he assured," Don't worry about that, trust me."
" trust the mafia king I don't think your supposed to trust the devil" she said, back with her teasing, she flashed him a smile
"And what if the two are synonymous with each other?", he questioned,"You can't trust one without the other, makes no sense."
"True True" she said smiling at him " but aren't angels supposed to be pure and beautiful and heaven-like and then one of my nicknames is the red fox" she said
"Angels are a lot of things; they have a good chance of being more too regardless of what it is.", he added,"Huh that's interesting, I haven't heard of that one yet."
Vincent looked out the window as the car approached downtown of the city. Cheryl's smile had a brighter impression than some of the signs that they passed by. He pressed his hand against his own cheek for a moment before the car stopped and parked. "Oh we're here, what do you want from Sal's?", he asked,"I'll just get it and we can eat at the next place, if that's alright."
"um suprise me" she said, truth be told her father never let her eat outside the Manor, in fact she rarely got to leave the Manor unless he accompanied her, she hope with Vincent that would change for the better.
"Alright, don't worry. Sal's under me so, his stuff is always great.", he nodded. Vincent got out of the car then dashed inside of the restaurant. The place wasn't busy since it was starting to get to be in the late evening. He paid and got a bag with the food in return. The owner gave him an envelope which he slid into his jacket then went back to the car. "So I just got you a burger with tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese but left out the sauce since I wasn't sure then some fries. If you want more, have some of mine."
She nodded " okay, sounds great" she said looking out the window once the cat started to move she had her hands rested on her thighs as she layed her head back on the seat eventually closing her eyes
