"Science." Riven replied, not knowing if he was actually talking to her or not. "I have English next." She added. Maybe he didn't care, but for Riven it was nice having someone to talk to. "Do you play any sports?" She walked out into the hall, dodging all the people that flooded it. Tammy was long gone, so she didn't have to worry about her right now, and even if she was around, she wouldn't try anything with this many people. Riven walked with her head held high. She tired her best not to let people get to her, the bullies, the emotionless zombies who try to convince her to get her feelings removed. All of it was nothing to her, she vowed to live free with her feelings and take on whatever life threw at her.

"Used to play basketball," he said with a shrug. It wasn't a surprise, since she barely reached his shoulders. "But I got too mad after a loss and got kicked off the team."
Nice job, idiot, he mentally kicked himself, oversharing to some fucking stranger.

"I see.." Riven wasn't to sure if what to say. It made sense he was in basketball though, he was extremely tall, or at least to her he was. "I'm in track. I have a competition this upcoming weekend. You should come watch." It was a long shot but maybe he would say yes. "I mean you don't have too." She smiled and looked up at him. He had a handsome face, it was strange to her that he didn't have many friends or even a girlfriend for that matter. But his personality was a little… But Riven was stubborn and she was going to get past that wall and become closer to him.

He scratched his face and frowned. On one hand, he had just met this chick literally an hour ago and had said about 5 things to her. On the other, though, she was pretty, and wasn't a brain dead fuckwad like the rest of the school.
"I….guess. I ain't got nothin' to do," he ultimately said.

"Awesome." Nearing the end of the hall she stopped and looked up at him. "This is where we go our separate ways. Should we net after school and head to my place, or would you rather I text it to you?" Riven wanted to make it easy for him. Before he could answer though a girl came running down the hall. "Everyone, put on your masks. The officials are here!" Riven pulled her pack higher up onto her shoulders. The masks show how much emotion has been taken away. A full white mask shows all your emotions had been taken away, while a half mask is only a few had been removed. And the people with no mask was left barefaced, for everyone to scowl at and give dirty looks to. Everyone moved against the closet wall to them and made room down the halls for them to walk down.

Winston slid against the wall next to Riven, glancing around with those sleepy eyes he had. While most of the people without masks stared down at their feet, he kept his chin up and made eye contact with everyone who dared looked at him. He wasn't gonna be ashamed of who he was, even if the decision caused him such emotional turmoil.

A tall older man walked down the halls with two guards behind him. He took count and wrote down how many students were in the school and marked down how many of them had masks and how many didn't. One of the guards was female. She had long red hair that looked like fire when it flowed behind her. Riven made eye contact with her, and for some reason she had a feeling she had seen her before, but she didn't know where from. The women narrowed her eyes and Riven did the same. There was no way she was going to let them take her emotions. Once they walked by, Riven stood on her tiptoes to reach Winston's ear, though it didn't help much. "Did you see the way she looked at me?" It was weird because an offical usually had there emotions removed, or at least that's what they tell them. But there was definitely emotion behind that look.

He leaned over to hear what she was saying, scrunching his nose up. A strand of hair fell onto his forehead in the process, so he pushed it back into place.
"Uh….I guess?" he said, shrugging. "I wasn't payin' much attention. Why?"
(I didn't know what to do ;-;)

"Never mind. It's not important." Riven eyed the lady as she walked down the hall. She wasn't sure how to feel about that look she gave her. "Well, I'll meet you out front of the school and you can walk to my house with me." Riven quickly gave him a wave before running off. She wanted to get to the classroom before Tammy and her goons could find her.

Winston shrugged and walked into his class, sitting in the closest available seat and setting his head on the desk. Just one more class, he thought to himself, Another period and I can get out of here.

Riven sat in the seat towards the back near the window. She always liked looking out the window. One more class, then it's over. Riven watched the people on the streets, while class was going on. She saw a couple outside the school fighting. In her mind she made up what they were saying to make the scene more interesting.
