@Fantasy-Illy!

Let's try this again. I thought is was a good idea, but it died early on. If it doesn't work here, I'll give up on the idea.
"The countries have been at war for a while. People were dying, losing their homes. The earth was being scarred with hatred of the people who lived on it. But not anymore!" A loud voice boomed from a speaker. Everyone turned their heads to the large screen that hung from a building. Everyone knew that voice, and if you don't, you must be living under a rock. Just like everyone else I turned my head. But unlike everyone else, I highly disagreed with what has happened to the world. "Scientists in Russia have found a way to get rid of emotions. If you come in today. You can pay for one emotion to be extracted and get the other free!" The blonde mad shouted with excitement. It has been twenty five years since the last war, and honestly, I'd rather have the wars. In school now we hear about the heroes who have saved humanity from itself. And we learn the number one worst emotion is love. Love is greedy and possessive. It causes bad memories and hurts. It leads people to kill themselves. It is lust, and cruel. It is a sin, as they call it now. Most people nowadays have already gotten rid of that 'Sin' some including my parents. I sat there one morning watching them genuinely happy to get a divorce. They never hated each other. In fact they loved each other. But, their minds were convinced that this was the better way, and that they would still be friends. Because yes, it was love that drove them apart, not the thoughts of being free from emotions. Theres a rumor of the higher education making it a law to have love banned, and that everyone should have it removed. But for now, it's just a rumor. Oh, you ask who the higher education are? They are they highest leading person from every country. "Wow," You must have thought. It must been nice for everyone to be getting along. I don't disagree, but at what cost? Poisoning the minds of humans that emotions are bad!? Sorry, got a little out of hand there. Not me, I won't let it happen. Sure love is hard and it definitely hurts, I've been through it, almost to the point I ended my life, but do I regret falling in love? No. And I will not let them take my emotions away!

This is just about where everyone can go in and pay to get an emotion erased from them. A world where everyone thinks is perfect. But what are the rule consequences of not having emotions? A girl named Riven is often bullied or ignored for the fact that she still has all her emotions. But when she meets a boy from school who is having thoughts about getting rid of love, when he has never actually been in love. She runs after him and tells him to fall in love with her. Riven wants to save anyone of these horrible ideas and she Hope's she can. So this is something random I thought of and sounded cool. Honestly, might write a book about it. But I want a few people to join and have characters go through every day life in a world like this and hot some opinions. Some may have already gotten rid of emotions while others are still on the fance.

Make a new character for this. I would love to have some new options from their point of view. It may help with the plot of my sortly as well. Plus, you get to have more fun experiencing new things about this character as the journey goes on.

I will not use you character in my story, unless given permission. I'll also probably change their name.

Not all of our characters have to interact. I want to make it as realistic as possible and some people just have their own lives and friend groups. Make your own story out of this, and have your character go through hardships and happiness. Everyone's different so make your character's life different.

Anyway. I just hope everyone has fun.

RULES
DETAILS! It's always easier to respond if they other person has longer more detailed responses.
Do your best to have longer responses. I understand if sometimes you can't.
Try to have good grammar. Now I'm also not the best at grammar most of the time, but try your best.
Please try to answer as soon as possible. I know life gets in the way, so I understand, but leaving for a day and not telling anyone, isn't cool.
And just have fun!

There's a rumor of the higher education making it a law to have love banned, and that everyone should have it removed. But for now, it's just a rumor. All Riven could think about was how sad it is. Poisoning the minds of humans are emotions that bad? Riven wasn't going to let that happen. Sure love is hard and it definitely hurts, Riven been through it, almost to the point that she ended her life, but does she regret falling in love? No. And
She will not let them take her emotions away. Riven blew in her hands 5o try and warm them up, winter was nice, but spring was Riven's favorite. As the others finished watching she continued to walk down the street to school. Winter break was now over and she couldn't wait to see her friends. If only she had any. But that didn't stop her from trying. The walk was short since her home was so close. Voices filled the air as friends reunited with each other. Happiness was everywhere, because who wanted to give up being happy? Riven slipped by trying to be unnoticed. Going to class, she has already been pushed down and mocked, her hair has been pulled and all the girls laugh at her. "You're a loser. Someone who still believes in a sin. She must be the Devil herself." A girl names Tammy taunted her. She has been in the same class with her since first year, and Riven dislikes her very much. "Fuck off bitch!" Riven jumped up quickly pushing Tammy and her friends aside, escaping from what she calls the torture room, others would call it the restroom. Once out she didn't stop. She kept running until she was sitting in her seat and waiting for the teacher.

(You make me feel ashamed about how short my response is gonna be in comparison)

Winston sat in the front corner of the class, his head down on his desk. Everything about his body language screamed exhausted. He hadn't even bothered with his usual routine, so his hair was limp and his facial hair was thicker than usual. His shoulders were slumped and limp. His chest seemed to labor with every breath he took. And, if one were to look into his eyes, they would be bloodshot and half-closed. He hadn't done anything to cause this, however. He was tired from the mental weight that the options he had put upon his mind.

To love, or not to love? What should he do? Give in to peer pressure, or keep himself the way he was? All of these questions pressed against him like a physical force, warping his mind and just lowering his energy overall. It was so blatantly obvious that there was something wrong Ms. Williams, their teacher, didn't even bother to tell him to get his head off of the desk. Instead, she turned to the rest of the class and said, "Everyone get into partners. We have a group project."

@Fantasy-Illy!

Riven's seat was in the back near the window. Even without paying too much attention, she always had average grades. Never failed any of her classes. It was a mystery to her. She watch as a blue bird flew through the sky, and all she could feel was jealousy. Why were they allowed to be so free, but they couldn't? "Everyone get into partners. We have a group project." Riven heard and immediately knew this was going to suck. She had no friends, so what was she supposed to do. Her eyes scanned the room for anyone that wasn't Tammy and her group. Then she saw him, she didn't know him well, but that's exactly what she wanted. Standing her shoes squeaked on the floor. She stopped in front of his desk and knocked on it, with a smile. Be friendly. She usually was, but sometimes it was hard to keep a smile on your face when most people in the school hate you. There were only about twelve kids who hadn't got any emotions removed, yet. Riven knew it was coming though. They would give in and follow the crowd. "Hey, Winston right?"

Winston lifted his head, his hair falling over one of his eyes. The other looked up at her with bloodshot eyes, looking at her but seeming to stare right through her. After the question finally made it through his brain and was processed, he gave a slight nod. He wore a black hoodie that seemed to be a few sized too big for him, since the sleeves went past his fingertips by at least 3 or 4 inches. Across his chest was the word "Clemson" written in bold orange print, outlined with white. His jeans were frayed and faded, and his white shoes appeared to be more dirt than the white it was undoubtedly supposed to be.
Shit, who was this girl again? he asked himself, blinking slowly with the effort it took for his brain to work properly.

@Fantasy-Illy!

He doesn't seem very talkative. Bending down she tried to see his face a bit better since the hood from his jacket covered it. "Hi, my name is Riven. Yes I know, weird name, and sounds like a boys name. I get that a lot." She stopped and cleared her throat. "I was wondering if you would want to do the project with me?" Though he didn't talk a lot, she figured he looked nice. But, really, she was just using him to stay away from her bullies. She felt awful doing that, since she hated using people, but it was for her well being. He would understand, right? Again Riven smiled. She liked yo keep a positive attitude, negativity drained too much from her. In the back she could hear Tammy whispering about her. Her heart started beating faster and she balled up her fist. Riven hated that Tammy had so much control over how she felt. It was unfair. Turning back to Winston she ignored the whispers. "If you don't want to, you can totally say no."

Winston thought about the pros and cons. If he did the project, he'd probably get an A, since this girl seemed smart. Plus, he might have someone to talk about how he's feeling, since his parents had both divorced and didn't want to hear about his problems. The cons were that the entire school would hate him. Pretty even on both sides, he thought, Eh? Fuck it. I planned on dropping out anyways.
He sat up fully and flicked the hood off of his head, then pushed his hair out of his eyes. "Nah, nah, I'll do it." After a moment, he added, "I woulda never thought your name sounded like a guy's until you said it."

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Ah," A slight red tint dusted her cheeks. I shouldn't have said it. Riven did get embarrassed easily. It was hard for her to talk to guys, since most of then ignored her, while at least the girls talk to her. Well.. make fun of her, but it's better than being ignored. Her hands covered her face to try and hide her embarrassment. "Cool, I can't wait." Parting her fingers a bit she looked through them then smiled. Maybe this is my first friend. Brother will be excited about this. Riven has been living with her older brother since their parents divorced. They did it for a dumb reason and Riven and her brother both agreed. He is now her legal guardian and takes care of her well. "I guess I'll head back to my seat then." She quickly stood up and walked away. That went well. Riven figured it did since he didn't turn her down.

Winston watched her go back to her set with a confused look on his face. Girls. I'll never understand 'em. His head returned to his desk, but he chose to leave the hood off so he could at least listen to what the teacher was saying.
"Everybody have their partners?" The teacher asked, stepping in front of the Smartboard and gazing over at her class. When no one responded, she assumed it was a yes and continued on. "Alright, move to where you're sitting next to them. Each group will get a different book that they will read together. Every five chapters, you will make a poster board describing what happened. Seems alright?"

@Fantasy-Illy!

That doesn't seem to bad. We can get that done quickly. Riven pumped herself up. She needed to have a positive attitude, so they both could have fun while doing it. Plus she wanted to make a friend. Everyone stood and shuffled around. Grabbing her bag, Riven decided that she would move to where Winston was. He seemed like the type of person to stick to one spot, and she wasn't going to make him move for her. The chair squeaked as she pulled it back to sit. Setting her backpack next to her desk she waited for the teacher to hand them their book. Riven leaned over and whispered, "You should come to my house after school. We can work on it together." It was just an idea, but she really wanted to do something with him. Is that weird? Maybe it was too early to start getting so friendly, but they did need to get it done and it would be easier if they did it somewhere other than school. The teacher walked to every group and handed them the books. She pushed up her glasses and turned to face them all. "This will be due next week. Please don't be late turning it in."

"I guess I could," he mumbled into the desk, not lifting his head. "I got a car, so jus' give me ya address before we leave."
Maybe I should do it, he thought, his face scrunching up in a scowl that could've killed a man. Makes things a lot simpler. Just not give a shit about anyone or anything. Doing things purely for the benefit of myself…..but that just ain't me. I ain't like that. My emotions make me who I am. What will I be if they're gone? His entire body heaved with the effort it took to get oxygen through this web of negative thoughts. It was such an oppressive atmosphere it felt like he might suffocate. Even with how exhausted he was, his heart was beating so hard his pulse was visible on the side of his neck.

@Fantasy-Illy!

(Sorry. Weekends are usually very busy for me.)
"Next week we will be having a special guest coming to speak. So be ready for that. Alright, let's get started." Once the teacher started talking, immediately Riven started spacing out. She never enjoyed school, mostly because of the bullying, but also because it was kinda boring. She started to doodle in her notebook, once in a while she would glance over at Winston. Turning the page she started to draw him, although she couldn't see his face, she felt that this was a good time to draw him. If he was looking at her, he would think that she was weird. Riven just made it look like she was taking notes so that she wouldn't get in trouble. I want to go home. Sighing she put down her pencil, not quite finished with her drawing. Her wrist ached. When she was younger she broke her right wrist, and it just was the same after. The ticking of the clock just made her more anxious for some reason. Always having to watch your back for anyone made her paranoid over the years.

(Shit, I'm sorry about how short this response is. I just have no clue how to lengthen out the post)
"Whatcha drawin'?" Winston asked, his head lifting slightly and his eyes drifting over to the page.

@Fantasy-Illy!

(That's totally fine.)
Riven heard the voice next to her and quickly covered her page. "N-nothing." Don't ruin this Riven. She just smiled and closed her book. There, was things she didn't want people to see in this book. Her drawings of things she likes, random people and her deepest thoughts. Not even her brother knew about this book. The bell rang and immediately people started to gather their things. "Guess we better get going." And awkward laugh escaped her lips as she stood grabbing her backpack. "What class do you have next?"

Winston rubbed his right eye with the heel of his hand as he stood up too. Turns out, he didn't even have his bookbag with him.
"Um…..fuckin'…..what does Ms. Teagler teach, again?" he asked, his voice barely above a mumble.
