At a coffeeshop perhaps? Conner's Internet is down and he has to finish a book so he goes to the local coffeeshop?//

Deleted user

((Sounds good. And Aiden is a barista at said coffee shop, and takes a break to go talk to him?))

Deleted user

((Sure!))

Aiden swiped a hand across his forehead and groaned. This had already been a long day, but the last customer had given him a hard time and his manager was basically breathing down his neck. He didn't get why she took coffee so seriously; it's just a drink. Aiden put on a bright (and considerably fake) smile for the next customer.

"Hi, and welcome to Starbucks! What can I get you for today?" Maybe I shouldn't of stayed up so late last night.

Conner was annoyed. His Internet had gone out and he had a deadline to meet. Why did it have to go this way. Now he had this overly chipper barista screaming in his ear, "Coffee. Big." He grunted

Aiden's mood faltered slightly at the man's grumpiness. Now, what's a cute guy like him all mad about? But nonetheless, he kept up the attitude. He didn't need another 'be happy or get fired' talk from his manager.

"I'm sorry, sir, but you'll have to be more specific than that." he said, the chipper words flowing effortlessly from his lips. Aiden knew how to fake a feeling, that's for sure.

Conner sighed heavily, "Give me the biggest cup of black coffee that you can pull out of that chipper ass" hr growled. Usually, he wasn't this rude, nowheree near it, but he was really having a bad dau

Frowning heavily, Aiden's mood dropped. This was just wearing him down even more. "That'll be $4.95, sir. May I have a name for the order?" he droned. Even though he could feel his manager's eyes burning into the back of his head, he couldn't bring himself to care. She knew better than to put him on cashier duty, yet she did anyways. All things have their consequences.

He paused, "Miles" he decided he didn't want to be Conner today, so he went with his penname. He pulled out a five and handed it over, "Keep the change" he grunted, tucking his wallet away and walking to an open table, pulling out his laptop and running a hand through his messy hair

Miles… Aiden mouthed silently, pursing his lips. The name didn't seem to fit the man. He hurridly cashed the money in and started to make the order, painfully aware of the manager's eyes watching his every move. Soon enough, he was finished, since black coffee's are usually easier to make. Leaning slightly over the counter, he raised his voice. "Black coffee for Miles?"

Conner looked up, standing and grabbing it. He felt bad for how he treated the man earlier, so he smiled as he accepted the drink, "Thank yiu" he peered at the nametag, "Aiden" he smiled again before returning to his table, taking a huge swig of the coffee before continuing his typing

Smiling slightly at 'Miles,' he quickly headed out to the back of the shop, ignoring his manager's glare. "I'm going on break!" he called, picking himself up a quick water and premade sandwich. Surveying the lounge, Aiden saw that most of the seats were taken, except the one across Miles. He grinned to himself as he headed over. This is gonna be fun.

Conner's fingers flew across the keyboard as ideas poured from his mind and onto the page. His brow was furrowed and his tongue stuck out slightly as he typed

Aiden plopped down on the seat. Miles didn't seem to notice him, but the expression on his face sure was cute. Who knew attractive guys actually showed up here? It had been a while since Aiden had his eye on anyone, but Miles here seemed like the next candidate. Not wanting to interrupt him working, he unwrapped his sandwich and took a bite, observing the room.
