Penelope nodded as she resumed her cleaning. There actually wasn't much to do since she was a normally pretty clean person. She stood in the middle of the room for a moment, trying to remember where her extra mattress was. After a minute or two, she remembered it was in the laundry room, that had been the only place to put it. She started heading that way.

Claudia stayed quiet except for the occasional hum, where she and the magpie would get into a back-and-forth. She watched the human go about her work curiously, puzzled as to what she could possibly be cleaning up. The place was incredibly neat by Claudia’s standards.

Coming back from the laundry room, Penelope had a large mattress in her arms and over her head. She heaved it into the living room and dropped it on the ground, letting out a breath. She looked around the room for a good place for the mattress, eventually finding one by a bookshelf. "So, are you hungry or is there anything you need to entertain yourself or anything else?" She asked while setting up the bed.
Claudia lingered close to Penelope, head cocked ever so slightly. She ran her fingers through her long hair as the demon observed Penelope work. “I’m alright. I may lurk around a bit, see what’s going on in this little podunk town.”
Penelope nodded as she finished the bed. "Mk, just don't get in trouble that could lead to me. And the bed is done so this is yours for now." She said turning around to face the demon. She moved past her and looked around for an umbrella this time. She did find one and grabbed it. "I'm off, see you later I guess?"
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll try to avoid eating any orphans or whatever, then leave a piece of paper with your name and address. I guess.” Claudia rolled her yellow eyes playfully, a small grin on her face. “But I’ll see ya around, sure. Tricky ‘n I’re gonna go out in a few minutes.”
Penelope giggled, fighting back a smile. It eventually won and a soft smile showed on her lips. "Have fun. I literally have no idea when I'll be back so… make yourself at home, just don't make a complete mess or burn down the house. Goodbye!" She said and actually went out the door and was on her way back to her sister's house.
“I feel like we already have.” Claudia laughed softly, giving Penelope a small wave as she left. The demon slipped outside a few minutes after, as promised. The dogs, which were just beginning to relax, once again began their howling tirade, only inviting more and more noise into the air.
