Bryn frowned when Sebastian turned away, gently grabbing his jaw and tilting it until they were eye to eye again. "If I'm not upset about it, you shouldn't be," he chided gently, thumb rubbing soothing circles into his jaw. "And… I promise I'll try to get away as long as you promise me something too."
"Whats that?" Sebastian asked, leaning gently into Bryn's hand. He was glad Bryn want upset, but that didn't really help Sebastian stop. He wasn't sure how he felt about Bryn treating him like this, but for now it was comforting.
Bryn had no idea why he was doing this, but he knew it had something to do with want. He wanted this human to hold him and touch him and be sweet to him more than he'd wanted anything for a long time. "Promise that when you do things after I say no, you explain why."
"I promise." Sebastian looked been dead in Bryn's eyes. If his words before carried no weight, these two words were said with such intensity and sincerity as to crush the world. This was one promise Sebastian wasn't going to break.
Bryn seemed surprised by his intensity, a soft blush starting to creep onto his cheeks. His gaze flitted down towards his lap and back up to Sebastian a few times, like he was checking to see if the honesty was real, before he made eye contact again and offered Sebastian a soft smile. "I… um… thank you, human. It's… just, thank you."
Sebastian returned the smile, though his had a touch of bitterness.
"It's the least I can do, after what I did." He sat up slowly, hesitantly putting his arm around Bryn's back.
Bryn froze under the touch for a second before he relaxed, leaning carefully against Sebastian. He didn't normally like being pulled in like this but the touch was light enough that he could pull away and Bryn didn't think Sebastian was going to hurt him right now. "You can touch me, if you want. It's not uncomfortable as long as I know it's coming."
Sebastian visibly relaxed to be simply able to hold Bryn. He refrained from pulling Bryn onto Sebastian's lap, glad Bryn was okay with Sebastian touching him at all.
"Thank you for telling me," he said. He much preferred to be the holder to being the person held.
Bryn crawled into Sebastian's lap on his own, craving the warmth and comfort he provided. He shoved his head into the crook of Sebastian's neck and breathed in. It felt strangely safe here, all hidden away from the world behind a human who would protect him. "I… I like it when you hold me like this."
Sebastian was mildly shocked when Bryn crawled onto his lap of Bryn's own accord. Sebastian gently wrapped his arms around Bryn, leaning his head lightly on Bryn's.
"Well, I like it when you let me hold you like this." Sebastian felt like he could, and would, protect Bryn from everyone else, and even Sebastian himself, if need be when he held Bryn like this.
Brynn smiled at that, snuggling even closer to Sebastian. "I liked it when you carried me in the hall too," he murmured, words muffled in Sebastian's neck. "And when you held my hand with the doctor. You always feel so warm, it's nice."
Sebastian blushed slightly, the anger, guilt, and pride from before forgotten.
"W-well, I'm glad you feel that way." He was gently holding Bryn, careful to both not hurt him and to make him feel comfortable. He put his head in Bryn's hair, almost as if he were trying to keep the world from even being able to see Bryn.
Bryn liked being smothered with attention, it made him feel all fluttery and wanted. He smirked when he saw Sebastian blush and it only widened when he heard the embarrassed stutter. "I like the way you look too, and I like how protective you are when you get close to me and I like how sincere you get about wanting to make me happy."
Sebastian's blushed deepened, and he buried his face in Bryn's hair to hide it.
"P-please stop," he muttered, most definitely not meaning it. He was surprised when Bryn brought up how he looked, and he smiled slightly at the thought of it. When Bryn mentioned how protective Sebastian was, he realized it was true. He hadn't really thought of it that way, and hearing it put like that made him feel warm and fuzzy inside. Yes, protective was definitely how he was going to describe how he felt about Bryn.
"But I didn't even get to mention how pretty your eyes are or how good you look when you're blushing or how wonderful you make me feel when we're all tangled up like this." Bryn pulled his face out of Sebastian's shoulder to grin up at him with a twinkle in his eye. "And most of all I like the way you care."
By the time Bryn had reached the end of this latest list, Sebastian's blushing had taken over most of his face, and he was very flustered.
"Well- I- Um-" Sebastian could barely maintain eye contact with Bryn. He wasn't used to this sort of thing; usually, people only complimented him on the things he had, not how he acted or behaved. He tried to smile, but he was much too flustered to actually achieve anything larger than a small grin.
Bryn was mentally high-fiving himself for getting his human to fall apart like this so easily. It was completely adorable, the way he flustered and stuttered when all Bryn was doing was complimenting him. Bryn purred happily and leaned forward to rub his cheek against Sebastian's, almost catlike. "You're so cute."
Sebastian was losing whatever control he had left over his emotions. When Bryn rubbed his cheek on Sebastian's, Sebastian tightened his hold on Bryn slightly and pulled him even closer.
"T-t-thank you…" He muttered, the grin on his face finally managing to widen. He leaned his head into Bryn's, closing his eyes in content.
Bryn couldn't keep the smile off his face as he was pulled closer and closer, still nuzzling Sebastian's cheek affectionately. "Y'know, you're actually really sweet when we're all alone." He started nosing lazily along Sebastian's jaw. "I like it. You should act like this all the time."
Sebastian nodded absentmindedly, wrapped up in the feeling of Bryn touching his face. He had never really been touched like this before, and he was quite enjoying it.
"I think I will," he murmured quietly, softly rubbing circles on Bryn's back.
Bryn hummed happily at the words and the touch, almost dizzy with happiness. He reached up to trace a hand gently over Sebastian's face, tracing over his eyelids softly and smoothing down his nose. It was soft, almost exploratory, and Bryn paused when he reached Sebastian's lips.
Sebastian's lips trembled slightly when Bryn touched them. Sebastian's eyes fluttered open, and he gazed down at Bryn softly. Slowly, he lifted one of his hands to cup Bryn's cheek gently, mesmerized by Bryn's golden eyes.
Bryn pressed his face into the hand, matching Sebastian's gaze. He pressed his finger softly against Sebastian's lips and then tangled the hand in his hair, pulling him closer. They were breathing in the same air now, faces so close that if Sebastian so much as tilted his head they'd be kissing. "Please."
Sebastian said nothing, simply leaning into Bryn. When their lips met, Sebastian's grip on Bryn tightened, and he moved his hand from Bryn's cheek to the back of Bryn's head. The logical side of him was screaming that this was wrong, that how dare he be kissing a demon of all things, but he shut that out, instead focusing intently on where Bryn and Sebastian's skin was touching. Especially their lips.
Bryn moaned softly and pushed closer, wrapping his arms around Sebastian's neck. It should've felt wrong to kiss a human so willingly, but there was something about Sebastian that made it okay. He was trying so very hard to be gentle and careful and good, and that was more effort than Bryn had seen in decades.
