Sebastian had an annoyed look on his face, and a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"Let me rephrase; tell me your name you little fucker before I give you a new one." Sebastian dug his finger into the demon's chest.
Sebastian had an annoyed look on his face, and a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"Let me rephrase; tell me your name you little fucker before I give you a new one." Sebastian dug his finger into the demon's chest.
Bryn whined at the pain the gesture spread through him, legs giving out and forcing him to clutch at Sebastian to stay upright. Still, his lips peeled back into a defensive snarl, one that he hoped disguised the fear rushing through him. "Give it to me then, pig. I'd hate to have your dirty lips sullying my name anyways."
At the insult, Sebastian shoved the demon off of him, pushing him into the ground.
"Give me. Your. Name." He hadn't originally planned on forcing the demon to tell him its name, but now he would have it. No one called him a pig and got away with it, especially a filthy demon such as his.
Bryn struggled onto his elbows, hair falling into his eyes. That was good. That meant he didn't have to fight to keep the fear from showing on his face. He stared towards the ground, mumbling a pained "Make me" and then, a little louder to disguise the challenge he'd let slip, "Fuck off, pig."
Sebastian wasn't fooled that easily. He swiftly kicked the demon in the stomach, staring down with disgust.
"I'll get it out of you, one way or another."
It set off a violent coughing fit that had Bryn clutching weakly at his stomach and wheezing for breath. He was curled over on his side, half his face pressed against the ground. It was cold beneath his cheek and helped him clutch desperately at consciousness. "Bryn," he managed to force out after a few seconds. "Your kind calls me Bryn."
Sebastian crouched down in front of Bryn.
"See, Bryn, that wasn't so hard. We could've avoided this if you had simply answered my polite question." He brushed some of the hair out of Bryn's face, slightly worried he had gone too far.
"Now, let's go get you fixed up."
(I'm just sitting here, wanting to yell at Sebastian about his treatment of Bryn.)
Bryn flinched away from Sebastian's hand, gaze fixed resolutely on the ground. He was shivering. There was still a defiant tilt to his chin and some kind of rebellion in the curled scowl on his lips, but it was mostly posturing. He hated how easy it had been for this human- this pig- to force the words out of him. How easily he had given in. "Don't touch me."
(It's okay, we'll make him suffer when he finally grows a conscience and realizes how badly he's treating Bryn.)
(Most definitely XD)
Sebastian sighed, growing tired of this. He moved his hand from Bryn's face to his shoulder.
"Either you let me help you inside and get you fixed up or I leave you out here. And if I leave you out here, I'll make sure you won't be able to run away." He got down on one knee, trying to catch Bryn's eye.
"The choice is yours."
Bryn bit his tongue to keep from saying something stupid. Something scathing about how humans dared to call demons the monstrous ones and then had the gall to act like this. Instead, he avoided Sebastian's eyes, weakly shrugged off the hand on his shoulder to grasp at Sebastian's neck in a silent sort of agreement, and tried to keep himself from sniffling. "I hate you."
Internally glad that Bryn would let Sebastian help him inside, Sebastian put his arm around Bryn and stood, pulling Bryn up.
"Understandable." Sebastian made sure he was the one dealing with most of Bryn's weight before continuing to walk up the drive.
"Obviously not." Bryn put no effort into moving or supporting himself, forcing Sebastian to carry him around. It was the least he could do to atone for all the shit he'd pulled since the auction. Also, it hurt to move and all his energy was being spent trying not to cry. "If you had the intellect required to get it through your thick skull and into your pea-sized brain, you wouldn't be doing this."
(I just love how Bryn is "forcing" Sebastian to do something Sebastian had made the decision to do already)
Sebastian sighed in irritation.
"Let's just get you inside already," he muttered, readjusting his hold on Bryn slightly.
"And I didn't mean for you to get thrown off the trailer. I figured you had enough common sense to realize crawling on top of a moving vehicle might not be the best idea.
(Yeah, he just wants to pretend he has some control. Poor baby)
"Funny. I figured you wouldn't wonder why I wanted to escape a life as a fucking pet to someone who's more than willing to torture me until I bend to his fickle whims." Bryn's voice was pointed and cold, but a tremor shook through it, betraying his fear. "But by all means, call me stupid. Does that make you feel better about kicking me so hard I couldn't breathe?"
Sebastian was silent for a moment. He had picked up on the tremor in Bryn's voice. Finally, he spoke.
"Where would you have gone? You can't exactly go back to your old home, and you wouldn't be able to be on the run forever."
They were near to the house itself; three stories tall and about the size of a football field, it was quite impressive. It loomed over the two as they walked to it. For one, it was home. For the other, it was to be his prison.
Bryn started to balk as they neared the doors, ignoring the painful jolts to his ribs as he dug in his heels. Maybe he should've let Sebastian break him and leave him outside, it was better than being locked away in that tomb of a house. "Anywhere is better than staying with you, മുഖം." The insult was in his mother tongue, the language of the hellions, and he relished the guttural way it sprung from his snarling lips.
"Yes, I get it, you hate me, yadda yadda ya- dude, are you seriously trying to not go inside? Come on, it's not that small," he said in an exasperated tone. He'd been basically been carrying Bryn the entire way up the drive; he'd actually carry him the rest of the way if the need arose.
"Just break my legs and leave me out here to suffer, it's better than being inside that thing." His breath was coming faster now, words rushed out without the sharpness that usually accompanied them. He struggled even harder. Once he was inside, it was all real. There was no way for him to escape, no matter how he tried to kid himself. It would be him and Sebastian and that house until he died.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow at Bryn.
"I don't think so. I'm taking you inside, and that's final." He had managed to get Bryn fairly close to the house before Bryn had started to have a panic attack, so Sebastian simple started to drag Bryn the rest of the way.
"Fuck off! Let me go!" Bryn was full-on panicking now, scratching at Sebastian's arms and squirming around as much as he could. He was too frantic to hurt anyone but himself, but that only seemed to increase his struggling. Once they were almost inside, he went from yelling to pleading, staring up at Sebastian with wide, terrified eyes. "Please, stop. I can't, I don't… just… just stop! Stop, please!"
Sebastian paused, standing directly in front of the door. He looked down at Bryn, and he was again surprised by how human Bryn's fear seemed.
And then the door was opened for them and Sebastian dragged Bryn inside. With that, the door was closed.
Bryn whimpered when the door was shut behind him, breaths coming faster and faster until he felt strange and lightheaded. He was worryingly limp in Sebastian's arms, only able to claw weakly at his shirt and whine desperately. His whole life was playing out behind his eyes and he could practically see his death. It would be at Sebastian's hands, obviously. Probably something bloody and drawn out and cruel in the way only humans could be. "No, no no no no no! I don't… I… I can't…"
Sebastian, seeing how distraught Bryn was, gently brought Bryn to the stairway on the other end of the hall. There, he set Bryn down softly.
"Bryn? Bryn, I need you to calm down." He was genuinely concerned; he wasn't a complete monster, after all. He carefully put his hands on Bryn's shoulders.
