“Oh um, yeah that’s me” Lizzie laughed nervously and closed the door behind her. She was expecting the academy to be nice, but this went beyond her expectations. Her roommate also seemed pretty nice. She desperately hoped that this wasn’t a dream.
"What's your name?" she asked, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear as she plopped down onto her bed. The beds were actually comfortable and new, no dust or anything. She knew that this was the first year that any students were here, so it made her happy but also uneasy. The fact that there hadn't been any mistakes made yet made them the mistake group.
She tore her eyes away from the room and focused on her roommate “I’m Elizabeth, but you can just call me Lizzie,” she offered a timid smile “and what’s your name?”
"Rosalina, but you can call me Rose" she replied, smiling gently. Her roommate was gorgeous, but she was way out of her league, the league of a demon.
Lizzie felt her face flush and quickly turned away, picking up one of her bags and putting it on a bed behind her. “Anyway” she said a bit too loudly, “do you know when classes start?” She really needed to get in control of her emotions. Come on Lizzie, she’s just one, extremely beautiful girl, that also happens to be your roommate. Yeah, this is gonna be just great.
"I think they start on Wednesday" she replied, turning her gaze to her hands that fidgeted near her lap. "So three days oh freedom" she hummed, looking back up at Lizzie.
“Thank goodness! I might have to sleep for a year after climbing all those stairs, give my poor legs a break. And just sleep in general.” She laughed embarrassedly “sorry I’m rambling. Are you excited for class?” She questioned, tilting her head slightly.
"Yes, very" she replied, smiling gently at her. Her eyes flashed again the sun and changed colour briefly, making her whole entire face light up.
Lizzie ignored the brief change, figuring it was better not to ask. “I’m totally pumped! I’ve never been anywhere as amazing as this in
my whole life!” She smiled briefly at Rose before looking down, Lizzie fidgeted with her hair instead.
((Sorry, I lost connection there for a bit
(It's alright, so did I)
"Same!" she replied, smiling shyly. She didn't want to be too pushy, but she wanted to ask questions like what she came to the school to study, what species she was….if she was dating anyone…
Lizzie continued to take immense interest in her feet. Being the shy person she was, she had no idea how to continue the conversation. Her hands instinctively moved to fidget with her necklace, the pendant was what appeared to be a small emerald.
((Any chance we’re going to continue this more tonight? I just want to know if I should stay up or not.
(Good evening. Sorry I was at a friends house)
((Don’t worry about it. I was busy the whole day anyway.
Lizzie continued to take immense interest in her feet. Being the shy person she was, she had no idea how to continue the conversation. Her hands instinctively moved to fidget with her necklace, the pendant was what appeared to be a small emerald.
She smiled and dismissed her questions, suddenly attracted by her emerald, "I like your necklace" she muttered, her eyes connecting to Lizzies'
“Thanks! It was a heck of a pain to get it. My family helped pitch in a lot.” She smiled, “they’re really great. I really appreciate everything they’ve done for me.”
"Was it a gift from your family line or did you buy it?" she asked, not really in complete understanding of her story
“Kind of a combined effort I guess. I’d been saving for a long time and they helped with the last little bit of money.” Lizzie explained
"The necklace must be really special to you then" she replied, smiling gently as she fidgeted with the strings on her hoodie.
“Yeah…” she trailed off before abruptly perking up, “Well we shouldn’t just sit here all day. Especially not on a gorgeous day like this!” She exclaimed excitedly.
"Do you want to walk around outside?" she asked, knowing they played a couple of foreign outdoors sports at the boarding school.
She stood up, bouncing on the balls of her feet “yeah that sounds like fun! It’ll give us a chance to check out the campus too!”
She smiled softly at her excitement, "You're adorable" she mumbled, immediately regretting it and covering her mouth, hoping she hadn't heard.
Lizzie did hear, and pretended she hadn’t, there’s no chance Rose was actually interested in her. Despite that, she couldn’t stop the blush that snuck on her face. “S-so should we go then?”
