"I'd still say no to you. I uhm, I'm not ready for that tye of stuff with anyone. Not that I don't like you though." He mumbled his words to the point that they were barely understandable , "So uhm, I'll drive us back to campus." He pulled out of the parking lot. The rest of the drive was in silence, mainly since he was so embarrassed. He did like Isaac, but he just couldn't picture himself being with anyone like that, just yet. He pulled into his parking spot on campus and got out of the car, "Uhm, thanks for lunch Isaac, and uhm I'll see you later?" He tried to speak as clearly as possible, "I uhm, what time should I expect you?"

@CasiCasino group

Isaac didn’t mind Damien’s awkwardness. After all, it was only normal that not a lot of people acted as quickly as he did when it came to these things.
“Meet me at the gates uh… 5:30? Yeah, 5:30!” He answered as he got off, getting his things from the backseat and feeling the knife he had up his sweater move slightly as if the tape he’d used started to weaken.
“I’ll see you then.”

(Time skip?)

@Calanthe

((Oh hex, I get totally get that. I can totally start it))

Damien had been pushing off getting ready for dinner until the last minute. He had been just hanging out on his bed watching this new show on his laptop, and well it wasn't like he was procrastinating, but he wanted to finish the episode he was on. Once the episode finished he looked up at the clock and checked the clock. He had fifteen minutes before Isaac was supposed to be there, "Oh shit. . ." He said as he started to race around his room trying to find some clothes to wear. He somehow got dressed in time then raced down to the front gate, just a few minutes late. He walked towards Isaac, trying to act as if he wasn't late. "Okay, uhm, you ready?" He studied Isaac up and down, and he looked really nice. Looking down at himself he was just wearing a cardigan, t-shirt, and jeans, he felt a little undressed compared to Isaac, "You look nice." He said quietly, looking around, it was really quiet where they were standing, almost eerie, but he was sure everything was fine. "I'm sorry I was late, I got engrossed in a show, but uhm I made it?"

@CasiCasino group

Isaac, who was in a white shirt with a black leather jacket and denim jeans, looked up at Damien when he spoke. He wasn’t at all mad that he had come late. After all, it wasn’t until about to two hours more that he’d planned the next show to happen. He went to Damien’s side, reaching his hand up to his hair and ruffling it slightly.
“Don’t worry about it.” He said with a small laugh as he began walking down the road which led to the dining place, all the while keeping check of the time. He brought along his black duffel bag which contained… nothing. But it was going to be filled by the end of the night. At least… that was what he’d hoped would happen. If the psychology worked then everything would work out as he’d planned. He walked beside Damien at all times as to not make him feel uncomfortable.

@Calanthe

Damien grumbled little bit, "Heey, stop." He grumbled a little more then fixed his hair, "Just making it look nice took almost fifteen minutes to make it look nice." He crossed his arms and pouted a little bit, "Hhmph. . ." He grumbled a little bit more walking next to him, "Why do you have a duffel bag?" He said when he finally noticed it, "I mean, it's no big deal, I'm just curious." He said with a slight smile.

((Oof, I'm sorry it's short, but uhm, there's stuff going on.))

@CasiCasino group

((No worries! I understand))

Isaac turned to him then to the duffel bag he brought with him.
“Oh, this? This was the only bag I had which could store things if we went shopping after the dinner,” he claimed. His claim sounded… fairly reasonable considering how small his other bags were. Take for instance his favorite messenger bag which was less than one fourth the size of this duffel bag.
“Well, just in case. But if we do end up going back after the dinner, that’s fine too,”

@Calanthe

Damien nodded, slightly confused, "Uhm, shopping? I mean, if you'd like to, but I just have enough money to cover the meal. Barely, might I add. I sort of spent a lot of my money on my friend's this week. They normally just have me cover for them, if that makes sense." He said with a shrug, "But, if you'd like to go shopping, I'll go with you, but I'm not going to buy anything. Plus, I don't even like shopping that much, well depending on what." He looked over at Isaac, his confusion fading, "Is that okay?" He asked as they stopped at the front of the restaurant, opening the door, "Also uhm." He was going to ask Isaac about why he was wanting to spend this time with him, yes they were friends, but he didn't think in this way, more like just a person to talk to in class. At least, that's how Damien had thought that Isaac saw them. Although now he wasn't sure what to think. But, instead of asking, he sort of chickened out and walked into the restaurant behind Isaac, then stayed silent as the other boy requested a table for them.

@CasiCasino group

Isaac stared at Damien for a while when he was talking about the money he had on him. He placed a soft hand on Damien’s shoulder, letting out a soft chuckle.
“Keep your money. Please don’t worry about it. Plus, I’m not letting you pay to a dinner I invited you to,” he mentioned. Even if Damien wanted to pay, Isaac wouldn’t want him to. It wasn’t worth the feeling of slight guilt he would have to deal with later on. Right now, other than this somewhat romantic dinner he was taking Damien to, he was thinking about the bloodshed he was going to have to hide after the murder. Hopefully the clear raincoat he brought with him in the duffel bag would be enough to hide all or most of it.

@Calanthe

Damien sighed, shaking his head, "Well, uhm fine." He said stammering, not really wanting to agree, but not seeing any other options just agreed with him. "But next time, at least let me pay for something." He said grumbling, as he adjusted his glasses, "I'm serious too." He crossed his arms, trying to act as tough as he was trying to sound, but sort of failing. After they were seated he stayed quiet again, sensing that Isaac's mind was in another place, and he didn't want to distract the other man. But, he wasn't going to sit in pure silence. Pulling out his phone, he checked his texts from his group chats and just some messages from friends. Not really seeing anything important, he just gave his usual minimal response, and then watched as his friends sort of ignored it, continuing whatever argument or conversation they were having. He knew that they would see his response eventually, but by then, he would have lost interest would take forever to respond, much to their chagrin, though. But after a few seconds, they actually responded to him, asking him if he wanted to go over to their dorm to just hang out. He quickly responded saying that he was at a restaurant. Then came the next annoying question, with who. It seemed to Damien that these people figured that he wouldn't go out to eat by himself, so he must be on a date or something of that nature. He responded with a friend, but they didn't seem to buy that. Fineee, a guy from my literature class, we just decided to get something to eat. Then, they began to pester him as to who it was in specifics as if they couldn't figure it out themselves. He rolled his eyes, getting slightly annoying by them, and just turned off his phone putting it back into his pocket.

@CasiCasino group

Isaac noticed Damien’s reaction to the messages on his phone and frowned slightly. He hadn’t said a word to Damien yet for he was ordering food for the two. The waiter nodded to his order, saying that they’ll take some time to prepare the food. Isaac nodded and turned back to Damien when he finished the order.
“Something bothering you cutie—“ Fuck. He hadn’t intended to say that. But… he wasn’t going to correct himself. After all, he said that because it was the first thing that came to his mind…

@Calanthe

Damien jumped a tiny out of surprise as to what Isaac had said, but he decided to just act pretend as though he hadn't heard the last bit, "Uhm, it's nothing really, it's just my friends being annoying. They like to pester me a bit and bother me about some of the dumbest things, but I think that's everyone's friends. Right?" He said with a shrug, "I mean, it's no big deal to me, I'm used to it." He fidgeted a little bit with the edge of his cardigan, "What did you order?" He said with a curious smile, then it turned to a slight frown when his phone buzzed again, "Damn it." He murmured as he silenced his phone. He was getting a tiny bit frustrated that his friends continued to bother him, even though he didn't really give them a reason to leave him alone. Even if he did though, they probably wouldn't care, and it would be worse.

@CasiCasino group

Isaac sighed softly and shook his head.
“Honestly, regarding the friend thing… I wouldn’t know. Other than you, I don’t really have anyone else…” he noted ruefully with a gentle smile. Though, that smile seemed to have been hiding a couple of tears which he disregarded.
“Oh. The usual stuff; sirloin slices, shrimp wontons, tofu skin, sliced lettuce, and more. Yeah… Was there something special you wanted?” He’d asked, about to call for the waiter if Damien wanted anything at all. He took the small moment to glance up at the clock… 6:48 PM. In less than three-fourths of an hour from now, he’ll have to finish the meal and leave before Damien would question anything…

@Calanthe

Damien cheerful smiled turned to a confused frown, "I'm sorry about that." He mumbled, not exactly sure what to do. He wanted to make Isaac feel a bit better, but he wasn't sure what to say to him to make him feel better, or to do anything at all. "Oh, uhm, no no, that's more than enough, actual more than what I usually get since I'm basically broke." He smiled over at him, trying to cheer him up a little bit, "Thank you so much though, it's so nice for you to do all of this. I appreciate it."

@CasiCasino group

Isaac shook his head at Damien’s apology.
“Don’t worry about it. I’m used to being alone anyways,” he mentioned casually before clapping his hands together once softly.
“Anyways uh… I haven’t ordered drinks yet. What would you like?” He asked cheerfully, brushing off the topic about the money as he heard water drops coming from outside. Rain? He thought. He looked outside the window and there it was; the lucky star he’d wanted. The rain started to fall down, pattering against the ground and the walls of the restaurant. Now… his raincoat wouldn’t look so suspicious.

@Calanthe

Dominic felt even worse at this moment, "Isaac, I'm really sorry about that. I mean. . ." He sighed, not sure what to say about that. "Uhm, just a water would be nice, I really don't drink that much, I hope that's okay." Damien mumbled, being awkward again, "Oh look, it's raining!" he said cheerfully, "I love the rain!"

@CasiCasino group

Isaac breathed quietly, looking at the rain with a small smile forming on his lips.
“Yeah… I love it too,” He didn’t. Except for tonight.
He turned back to the restaurant when the pot and the food came. His eyes seemingly in awe with how the food was plated, almost perfect slices of beef and pork alongside the delicately plated vegetables. He couldn’t help but let out a soft ‘wow’.

@Calanthe

Damien smiled happily, "That's good, I mean, to me, it's so pretty and calming." His smile faded slightly, "I remember when I was little I used to sit outside one our families covered deck whenever a thunderstorm would come by, I loved hearing the rain, and just all the other sounds, well, until I nearly got hit by lightning, but that's a story for another day." He said with a slight shrug, then he turned back to look out the window, his mind lost in thought, all he could think about was the rain, and how peaceful it was to him. When the food came he looked down and smiled a little at Isaac's reaction, "It's nice, isn't it? Huh?"

@CasiCasino group

Isaac nodded to Damien. “It is quite nice. Well, it’s getting late now. Let’s just dig in.” He smiled as he spoke, dipping the vegetables in the steaming pot first followed by the fish balls and slices of meat. Of course, this was food for special occasions and was meant for sharing so when the meat finished cooking, he nodded to Damien.
“Don’t hesitate, I know you’re quite hungry,”

@Calanthe

Damien fell silent, again looking out the window. He wasn't paying attention to Isaac at this point and was lost in his thoughts. He started to think back to his home and family, and how much he missed them. He wanted to go home back to them and visit during his time that he had off, but he knew that they didn't want to see him, not anymore at least. He knew that in their eyes he had failed them. During high school, when he came out to them, they got upset and wanted nothing to do with him. Probably the fact that they were devout Catholics had something to do with it. He sighed again, and closed his eyes, trying to hide how he was feeling. He honestly felt like crying, just thinking about his family, but he knew that it would be weird to just start crying in a restaurant for no apparent reason. He figured that Isaac already thought of him as weird, to begin with, so maybe it wouldn't be too out of character in the other boy's eyes. He sniffled a little bit, then turned to look over at Isaac.

"Oh, the food's ready?" He said, trying to smile at Issac, "I mean, I'm not all that hungry, but okay." He said when his stomach growled, "Okay, I guess I am hungry." He said with a sigh, "Thank you." He mumbled as he began to serve himself some of the meat, then began to dip the meat into the sauce, "It's nice of you to invite me to go with you." He started to eat quietly, feeling a bit nervous again. Sort of like how he felt earlier around Isaac, he felt as though something was off, kind of like how he felt when they had spoken earlier about the murders before. Alsmost like he knew something bad was going to happen, but he wasn't sure of what. He looked over at Isaac, and studied the boy a little bit, trying to see if the other boy sensed it too, but if he did, he was hiding it very well.

@CasiCasino group

Unlike Damien, Isaac didn’t feel any fear nor any negative emotion, as a matter of fact, at the situation. Anyone would think, a rainy night at a campus not too close to the city seemed a bit dangerous but he disagreed. After all, it was only dangerous because of him. He smiled as he continued to eat, looking over at Damien and noticing the negativity his eyes showed.
“Something on your mind, sugarcube?” He asked with a warm grin.

@Calanthe

Damien nodded a little bit, "Nothing really, I guess, I'm just thinking about stuff like about my home and stuff. I kind of miss it." He said with a shrug, "But uhm. . ."He trailed off awkwardly, not even noticing the pet name Isaac had used on him, "I just feel a bit stressed in general, if that makes sense, I'm fine, really." He said with a smile, trying to reassure the other boy, "What about you?" He continued to eat, still feeling the nervousness from earlier. Maybe these killings are just getting to me, I just think it's so weird that they;re happening. He thought to himself, as he saw he continued to worry, Isaac said that I'd be fine, so i must be fine, even if he doesn't know for sure. He wouldn't know, he's not the killer, so how would he know for sure? But still, it's kind of calming.

@CasiCasino group

Isaac looked down after a bite when the question was asking, silently chewing and swallowing before he answered.
“Hm… I suppose the murders. I’m still thinking about them.” 7:12 PM Fuck… Time was running faster than he would’ve wanted and so he started eating more. Of course, the rain was still pouring down. And it was pouring down hard.
“Did you bring an umbrella?” He asked just now. The thing is, as much as he wanted to use the raincoat for the murder, he didn’t want Damien to get sick either…

@Calanthe

Damien shrugged, "I won't need one, I'm used to walking in the rain, and plus, I don't get sick from it. You don't need to worry about me!" He said with a cheery smile, honestly worrying about the murders more than about his health. "Are you alright?" He asked, seeing how fast the other boy was eating now, "If you need to leave or something, it's alright. I can pick up the bill and stuff." Yes, he was still on the whole paying for the food thing, even if it sort of annoyed Isaac, "Do what you need to do and stuff, I don't mind."
