(Ok night!)
She groaned again before she heard keys jiggling in the lovk for the front door, her body too limp to move.
“C-cole… door” was all she managed to get out before heating the door open. They were hidden from sight, but she had a feeling she grandmother would come into the kitchen to drop off groceries anyways
~
Cole immediately stopped, releasing her and sighing softly. “You can go back to your seat, Erica, if you’d rather your grandmother not to see you in my lap.” He chuckled softly and gave her one last kiss before he bent down to pick up her fork. “You dropped this,”
She shifted once more, blushing when she felt his…problem. She got up quickly, picking up her plate and sitting at the opposite end of the table. Her face was still flushed when her grandmother walked in, wondering if her grandmother saw his issue or if Cole had covered it or not. She reached over to his leg with her foot underneath the table, running her foot up his leg without her expression changing one bit.
Cole scooted his chair in before the older woman walked in, hiding his problem. He blushed when he felt her on his leg. He shot her a sly look when her grandmother turned and returned the favor.
“How was the trip?” He asked the older woman softly, picking his fork back up and starting to eat.
Erica dusted off her fork and began to eat, glancing over at Cole seductively when her grandmother wasn't looking. She smirked to herself, her foot going higher and higher until she was just on the inner side of his thigh. She soon dropped it, smiling innocently to her grandmother as she finished eating.
"Laundry's all done" she hummed, biting her lip after she spoke, glancing innocently over at Cole.
Cole stiffened, biting his tongue to mask the groan that slipped from his lips. He flashed her a dangerous look, a playful light in his eyes. He mouthed a prominent ‘stop that.’ To her and winked.
The second she looked innocently at him he stuck his tongue out at her, playing the ‘I’m actually five and want to tease you’ card.
She laughed softly at his reaction, doing it again before getting up, going over to the sink and rinsing off her plate. "I'm gonna go to my room and just get some downtime. My back hurts from the laundry but I've taken some advil" she told her grandma, who's name was Caroline. She and Caroline made casual conversation while she finished up some dishes before Erica left for her room down the hall of the bungalow.
Cole watched her go carefully, smiling as he too finished up. He thanked the older woman as he washed his dish, dipping his head politely and moving down the hall. He laughed softly as he knocked on her door. “Excuse me miss but I think you owe me a chance to tease you back.” He said with a laugh, shaking his head and shoving his hands in his pocket.
She opened the door to her room, only half-dressed due to the fact that she was changing out of retraining blouse into something else. Half of her chest was exposed now, her face a beat red. "Tease me back?" she asked, laughing nervously. She looked him up and down, biting her lip, "I think you've done your share of teasing" she replied, jutting her hip out as she placed her weight on her left foot.
~
Cole laughed, looking over her with gentle, and yet hungry, eyes. “I don’t know. I don’t think I’ve done enough.” He purred, smiling politely. He dipped his head politely and dropped his eyes out of respect to her. “Why don’t you get dressed and we can sit and talk for a little bit?”
She smiled, obliging as she closed her door yet again, coming out in a cropped rolling stones t-shirt and some black leggings after a few minutes. She stepped out of her room, looking up at him when she came out. "You speak of talk?" she asked, wondering what subjects he might have up his sleeve.
~
Cole aired patiently, his eyes wandering around the house. He studied a few of the photos, turning when she answered the door. He pulled his collar up and smiled softly. “I just want to talk with you. You’re fun. And if I’m being honest, the first person to really talk to me. Back in my old town the only social stuff I’d get is when I worked. Not very fun, pretty lonely”
She smiled, kissing him quickly after surveying the room to make sure her grandmother wasn't there before slipping out of the doorway, sitting on the couch, patting the cushion beside her. "Let's talk then"
He smiled warmly at the kiss, touching his lips in a giddy happiness. He picked the seat right next to her and sighed. “I want to know more about you, Erica. What is this mysterious past of yours?” He asked with a small wink.
He was really interested in what she would have to say. Why she thought it so terrible was beyond him.
She froze for a minutes before attempting to deflect the attention off of her, her face beaming a soft yet vibrant pink. "Let's not talk about me" she muttered, kissing him again before placing a plastered smile on.
He shifted nervously, debating telling her about himself so she would trust him more. But would she think him insane? Some kind of wack job with a weird, made-up backstory?! He growled lowly when Shihiro made fun of him for being so nervous, leaning against Erica’s small frame.
“I’m curious about you Erica. You’re beautiful and kind… I’m just boring old me. I don’t have anything interesting about me.” He lied.
She looked up at him, shifting nervously as she closed her eyes, sighing softly. "Well, my parents, they're extremely rich. You'd think that they'd be nice, but nope. So when I was old enough, I picked up and left and moved here" she rushed her words immensely, not wanting him to leave her.
Cole chuckled lightly, kissing her cheek. “That’s all? I can’t hate you for that. You’re incredibly brave for moving out of your parents place. That takes a lot.” He murmured softly, taking her hands and giving them a gentle squeeze. “Alright well, since you told me your story I’ll tell you mine. I don’t remember much about my parents. My father died before I was old enough to remember him and my mother died when I was five. I was raised by my… I guess he’s more of my godfather. And now I’m here, moving towns because he died a few years back.” He shrugged, smiling. “And that’s my story.”
"Holy crow." was all she managed to get out, her eyes wandering his face. "I'm, so sorry" she muttered, kissing his cheek softly before moving to his lips, only staying there for a moment before pulling back, looking at him softly. "That's gotta suck" she laughed softly, trying her best to be comforting.
He chuckled lightly, thankful for her comforting kiss. “I’m over it. I didn’t know any of them very well.” He murmured, pressing a kiss to her nose as he gently intertwined their fingers. “Well, I’m glad everything happened the way it did even if it’s sad. Because of it, I got to stay here and meet you.” He said with a cheesy grin.
She blushed softly, kissing him again before leaning back on the couch, "Gods, I am so happy you stumbled up onto my doorstep." she hummed, unknowingly pressing her chest together as she sat on her knees.
