Aki could barely hold back his excitement, as well as tears from the amount of happiness that he felt. He cleared his throat and brushed off the white robes he had dressed himself in. He took a deep breath as he prepared himself.
Aki could barely hold back his excitement, as well as tears from the amount of happiness that he felt. He cleared his throat and brushed off the white robes he had dressed himself in. He took a deep breath as he prepared himself.
Lucien was in a black, close fitting suit, with threads of silver in it to accentuate it. He smiled softly, his hair bound back and away from his face, a single braid still there in remembrance of his mother. René sat to the side, watching his older brother getting married.
The doors slowly opened and he blinked a few times at the sudden brightness of the cathedral. He glanced at Lucien, and his eyes widen slightly before he looked absolutely love struck. It took all his strength to avoid rushing up the aisle and kiss his fiance… no husband senseless. He walked as quickly as he could while still looking graceful, walking up the stairs carefully and reaching out for Lucien.
Lucien smiled, reaching to take Aki's hands, eyes full of soft, happy joy at being able to marry the man he loved. "You look amazing." he whispered, squeezing Aki's hands lightly. Enrique and Ari were serving as groomsmen, off to the side with their own smiles on.
Aki smiled as well, squeezing Lucien's hand gently. "As do you, love." He whispered in reply. He looked absolutely love struck, leaning slightly against Lucien's side. It was finally time… they were finally going to be married. Their marriage would be seen as legal, seen as real. Gods it was always real to Aki, but now it was really real.
Lucien grinned again, eyes flicking to the priest as the man began to lead them through their vows. He was older, with greying hair and a beard.
Aki looked up as well, never letting go of Lucien's hands as their vows were read, his eyes occasionally flickering towards Lucien. He looked like a love struck fool, and he was. Love struck, definitely not a fool.
Lucien squeezed his hands gently again, smiling. The priest turned to Enrique after a bit, and Enrique handed the rings over with a smile. The priest handed one ring to Lucien, and the other to Aki. It was a matched set, made of silver with detailing carved into it. The crest of Lucien's family was laid into both, along with what looked like vines ringing it. Lucien slid the one in his hand onto Aki's ring finger, while saying "I do".
Aki looked like he was trying his hardest not to cry. There was a bright smile on his lips, his eyes warm and filled with love as he gazed at his husband. His husband. Aki gazed at the rings fondly, and gazed up at his husband as the ring was settled on his finger. He took the ring in his hand, gently taking Lucien's and slipping the ring onto his ring finger. "I do." He replied as well, squeezing Lucien's hands in his own.
Lucien returned the gentle squeeze, smiling down at Aki. "I love you", he mouthed, as the priest pronounced them husband and husband, you may now kiss the groom. Lucien leaned down to press his mouth to Aki's, closing his eyes.
Aki beamed when Lucien mouth the words, quickly mouthing them back. His eyes shone as the priest said those final words, before eagerly wrapping his arms around his husbands shoulders and kissed him back. He pulled away after a moment and laughed softly. "I love you, my darling." He whispered.
Lucien laughed a little as well, holding Aki close. "I love you too." He whispered on return, nuzzling Aki's cheek softly.
Aki let a small tear fall, crying happily. He pressed a soft kiss to his lips again. There wasn't anything else he could ask for. This was just… all of this felt right.
Lucien kissed him back quite contentedly, holding him close. They were married. This was their wedding.
This was all for them. This… this was what tied them together, forever. At least legally. His heart would always belong to Lucien. He pressed closer, keeping his arms firmly around the other. "I love you, I love you." He whispered, over and over again.
"I love you too." he whispered back, pressing closer to Aki for a long moment, before he pulled back and looked over at his cousins and brother. Enrique gave him a thumbs-up, smiling, and Rene smiled too.
Aki glances at the crowd as well, his cheeks flushed, his eyes warm as he pressed closer to Lucien's side. This was their life now. They can live how they wanted now. He squeezed Lucien's hand gently.
Lucien squeezed his hand in return, smiling happily.
Aki glances at Lucien, this was perfect. This was their life together now. They could be happy and no one could argue with them.
No one could tell them to do something different. Lucien's father was going to be pissed but there was nothing he could do about it now.
Aki wasn't really worried about Lucien's father. They were together, that's all that mattered. "Shall we go and talk to everyone?" He asks cheerfully, pressing a kiss to Lucien's cheek.
"Let's go." he said softly, grasping Aki's hand and heading down to talk to people.
Aki nods and holds his hand happily as they moved down to talk to other people, his robes swishing around him beautifully.
Enrique and Ari came up to them, both smiling. "Glad you were able to do this." Enrique said, laughing as he leaned in to wrap them both in a hug.
Aki beamed at that, patting him on the back before gently hugging him back. "I'm so excited." He murmured quietly, squeezing closer to Lucien.
